I want to see Chozen and Barnes teaching these kids how hard they are going to have to be to win.
I can’t help but feel like this foreshadows a possible MAJOR falling out between Daniel and Mike Barnes. Maybe Mike becomes the badboy again. Maybe Julie Pierce is brought in to fill in the void from Mike after the falling out.

Of course its all speculative, but when it comes to a timeline, my guess would be this: In the beginning (episode 1-3), Johnny and Daniel again have trouble with each other and their different training methods. It will be a bit like in season 4. Johnny is still wearing his Eagle Fang gi in the beginning. At some point, Chozen freaks out and has enough! He is sick and tired that Daniel still teaches the kids this only-defense-sh..it because the Kim clan are killers, they train to hurt and kill, not to win points, fight clean or be fair. Chozen then smashes that pillar to bits as we saw in the trailer, and he tells Daniel something like: "Let me demonstrate to Mr Lawrance that Miyagi-Do Karate has a stronger offensive then even his Cobra Kai Karate", and then they to the sparring. Chozen wont hurt Johnny, but he will teach him a lesson, he will show him once and for all Miyagi-Do Karate isnt about defense only, but was taught by Miyagi Sensei's to kill Japanese invaders centuries ago, but Mr Miyagi only taught the defensive side to Daniel since Daniel is a hothead who cant control his emotions. Remember how Chozen defeated the Sensei's in Season 5. Johnny wanst there, he didnt see it. This was Chozen at 100%, he wasnt drunk or soft through the kids, like he was later in the Season (otherwise he would have slayed Silver in a one-sided-beatdown, but the alcohol and hanging out with the kids made him soft), and he broke that one Sensei's arm with one strike. Like he breaks that big wooden pillar in the trailer. I can imagine he will damage Johnnys arms and legs so much that Johnny quits. After Chozen shows Johnny how deadly Miyagi-Do can be in offensive, Johnny is speechless, and he burries his red Eagle Fang gi once and for all, and dedicates himself only to Miyagi-Do and the white gi. But Daniel wants the Eagle in the logo. This scenario ends the beef between Daniel and Johnny and their training methods. Maybe Chozen and Daniel gonna have a little fall-out over the Sekai. Chozen warns Daniel about the Kim family, how dangerous they really are, and that it's time to teach the kids the offensive side of Miyagi-Do too, but Daniel is sceptical, so Chozen needs a break. Then Daniel asks Barnes since he realizes offensive is more needed now. Something like that. Not exactly, but maybe similar.

He will be absent for a while because he goes home to explain himself and tell her how he really feels in person. After they get things square with their relationship, whatever that will be, he will be back to assist Johnny, Daniel, and Mike.

Way back two weeks ago when all of the actors have their individual in-character promos, I have a feeling that those students in the promos ARE THE ONES that will pass our beloved karate bad boy's elimination process (or selection, to keep it positive) is one versus one elimination. My guess is that the new rule is that only 8 students will represent the dojo and they are accompanied by their teachers. Going by character promos, the students that will pass Mike's elimination test are the students we have seen in the promo for the Sekai Taikai: Hawk, Samantha, Kenny, Robby, Anthony, and hopefully Miguel, Demetri, and lastly Devon or Tory Meanwhile the possibility of Tory getting cut is most likely what will happen because maybe she is needed to take care of her mom and little brother. Another possibility is that she wants Samantha and Devon to represent the girls division for Miyagi-Do because Tory still gets her chance to compete in the world tournament in Shotokan Karate-Do which is the name of the karate school that Mike is now currently the head sensei. It could be possible that after the fire incident that destroyed his furniture store, Mike reconstructed the building into a karate school as his new business.

After 5 Seasons I've learn about this show is to expect the unexpected. Dont get me wrong, I say I hate what I am going to write now because I dont want it to happen, but I wouldnt count it out that Tory either leaves Miyagi-Do before the tournament, or she has to stay at home because her mom dies. All these things are too obvious. We dont know of course how this tournament will play out, it could be a team event only, it could be seperat divisions only, and it could be both. So it's difficult to predict something specific.
I dont like what the TV Source Magazine wrote about the Season. If they are right, these never ending rivalries Sam vs Tory, but also in some way Miguel vs Tory or even Hawk vs Demetri wont end. I really hope the wont do that, but nothing can be counted out.
