You kinda forget Mr. Miyagi was not on top of the world during the SEKAI TAIKIA. He had served during WWii and probably saw some liffe changing action . His wife and child died in an internment camp because there was not adequate medical care. He is still grieving and these wounds are still very much fresh. You cant compare Miyagi from this time to the one we saw that had 40 years to overcome this . Two very different people
It was a way for him to do something rite so he left his legacy to Daniel a young boy without a father to show him the way Mr miyagi was tired of being hurt n bullied he made sure he would leave his work with someone worthy to have it Daniel came from nothing naturally became successful n was never picked on again unless u count the billboard incident lmao
Mr Myagi was in the 442nd (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/442nd_Infantry_Regiment_(United_States). He won the Medal of Honor so yeah, that definitely shows what he is capable of in terms of sheer violence.
We know that Chozen knows a bit about Kim Sun-Yung, because he tells Daniel that Sato absolutely hated Kim. I wonder if Sato, Mr. Miyagi, and Kim had a shared encounter at the Sekai Taikai?
@@ZayTh3God We don't know that, because we know very little of what Mr. Miyagi did between WWII and 1984. Mr. Miyagi may have crossed paths with Master Kim in a place other than Okinawa.
@@lizzkaayako2270except it was pointed out by Daniel that Miyagi didn't recognize the name when Silver introduced himself in KK3, that's why Chozen explained how Miyagi hadn't heard of Kim before.
@@JR_LeMar No, he didn't. Daniel certainly didn't recognize the name 'Kim Sun-Yung,' but Daniel has no idea if Mr. Miyagi did. Daniel might have assumed it, but Daniel has always been pretty clueless about Mr. Miyagi's past and his private life. Daniel didn't even know Mr. Miyagi knew karate until Mr. Miyagi defeated five Cobra Kai fighters all at once. This has only been reinforced by the events of S6. It's possible Mr. Miyagi knew quite a bit about Kim Sun-Yung, and chose not to tell Daniel about him, similar to how he never chose to teach Daniel the aggressive style of Miyagi-Do with pressure point attacks.
The creators have said that they intend to keep the Miyagi-verse going after Cobra Kai. I'd love to see a Miyagi Chronicles series that shows us the entire family history. A Chozen spinoff would be amazing, too.
@grudgematch6653 I feel the same. If Miyagi didn't almost die himself, then he killed someone. Maybe the headband isn't his blood but a reminder of who he killed. I think the kids are in for much more than they anticipate.
I guess Miyagis dark past is the reason why he knew the monks in Next Karate Kid maybe he got badly injured and treated by the monks. The monks knew how to train figthing without being able to see.
That shows how blinded Daniel was thinking that Mr. Miyagi was the all saints good and wise master… besides,… I think Mr. Miyagi‘s final opponent and tormenter at the Sekai Taikai was none other than Master Kim Sung Yong, master of John Kreese…..
According to one of the co-creators of the show, Kim is the only character in the entire franchise that is on the same level of Miyagi. So it is possible the Sekai Taikai was when they may have first met and it may have just been Miyagi's turn around in life whether he did compete against him or not. However, maybe Miyagi never met him there and may not have known about him for years since Kim was not known until the Korean War as Chozen said. This is just a theory, but given Chosen instantly recognized Kim's style while watching Silver and that even Sato was apparently infurious with him, Miyagi might have learned or had confirmations from Sato between Karate Kid II and Karate Kid III. Resulting in him being far more strick about keeping Danny out of the tournament.Though with all his other secrets, maybe he knew Kim far longer than anybody by fighting at the Sekai Taikai, but moved on.
@@Showgingah what I personally think is that maybe they were brothers and family. They might’ve had the same amount of training and done the same style of karate right. However they began to separate from each other, have different ideals about karate, believed in different things master Kim being all about offense and showing no mercy and striking first and striking hard. Where as maybe miyagi believed in balance but that might’ve shifted a bit to more defensive after the incident where he seriously hurt someone. Then he decided to change his mindset and change his thoughts whenever the seikai came around and knew he had to try and stop his brother or fight his brother. So he joined the seikai in opposition to Kim and they met in the final round and it was an absolute war, where he won. Or it could’ve very well been something much more different it just makes me excited learning about his past honestly!! I think it’s going to be very interesting!
It’s not that he blinded himself but more so that someone had him blindfolded. He never knew much about Mr. Miyagi’s “complete” past. It’s possible Mr. Miyagi made sure that Daniel didn’t find out the truth because he may of felt like Daniel would be upset and wouldn’t wanna stay with Miyagi-Do. He may of also felt like it would disgrace Daniel
I think that Miyagi is going to be the one who really hurt someone in the tournament, and this is why he turned his back on them. He was likely full of anger after returning from the war and suffering from the loss of his wife and son, and entered the Sekai Taikai to take out his frustrations on the world. But after he nearly killed (or did kill) someone, he began on the road to redemption. That's my theory, anyway.
I believe he participated in the sekai taikai when he was much younger, after the Second World War he was already in his 40s and I don't think he could participate in the tournament, in my opinion it is the young miyagi who was just 20 years old and aggressive and who committed a robbery who participated in the tournament PS:miyagi has no children and has never had a wife, he wanted to marry Yuki but we know how that ended
Wisdom comes from mistakes, life lessons. Look at Mike Tyson now. If you for somewhat reason (maybe you lost in an deserted island for 40 years) don't know young Tyson, you would be surprised when you know the wise soft spoken old Mike then suddenly discovered that Mike is a beast sent from hell to destroy his opponents in his young days. So I would not be surprised if at one time Miyagi sensei was a beast and might have killed someone accidentally in Sekai Taikai. That is probably main reason why he turned wise and "karate is for self defense only" while he can kick Kreese and Silver without breaking a sweat. A non battle tested karate practitioner, who does not compete, train only side by side with a good friend, in no way can beat 2 merciless, ruthless, bigger stronger military karate champ. Might be a plot twist, Myagi sensei accidentally killed master Kim's friend/family in Sekai Taikai right in front of his own eyes. That is why Master Kim is the source of this strike first strike hard, no mercy style. Make sense.
STRIKE FIRST MEDIA: This is a very plausible theory because bring to light a certain comment that he said to Daniel when Daniel was comparing his situations that lead to him learning how to fight to Miyagi's situations when it came to fighting. When Daniel said that because Miyagi already knew karate, he didn't worry about being in a fight only for Miyagi to counter with: "Some knew more".
I think it’s possible Miyagi actually severely injured/ killed someone. He might have changed his stance after that experience and vowed karate for defense only. He doesn’t like tournaments because what it drove him to do. After all he was one of the best fighters in this universe if not the best. I think they will parallel what miyagi does to what happens to one of our favorites. I think Demetri will end up severely hurt or worse… they keep emphasizing his early admission into MiT and I feel like Hawk will need a reason to tap into his full potential and avenge his fallen brother. I could see your theory as well though. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Season 2 can’t come soon enough.

Why is Daniel so butt hurt about Mr miyagi’s past?! He simply just made a lot of mistakes and that’s probably why he turned into the Miyagi that we know today.
@grudgematch6653 it's cos Daniel put Miyagi on such a high pedestal. To Daniel, Miyagi is the best man that ever lived. So to hear that he may have done some shady shit in the past, has rocked him. Not only that, for not telling him about it. Daniel is also an emotional man, quite often knee jerk reacting. He takes things to heart.
I don't think it's because of all of the messed up things Mr. Miyagi had done in the past is what bothered Daniel. It's because Mr. Miyagi himself never told Daniel about any of those stories.
@@nuthingbutnonecents3386 At least Chozen may fight answers in Okinawa. Maybe Daniel might find answers in the sekai taikai tournament past in the halls of fame?

What if he stole that headband from the person he beat up because he really wanted to be in the Sekkei Taikai and that blood is from the person he beat up! I'm not entirely sure. Maybe he got injured in the tournament and never decided to compete again!
What if Mr.Miyagi used offense in the sekai tekai and killed someone using offense and now thats why he only teaches defense to Daniel. Plus Chozen told Daniel that Mr.Miyagi had secret techniques that Mr.Miyagi kept a secret from Daniel.
In KK3 when Silver introduces himself for the first time to Mr. Miyagi and Daniel as student of Master Kim Seong Yung of South Korea, Mr. Miyagi didn’t even react so Mr. Miyagi probably didn’t even know who Kim was.
They need a miyagi spinoff from when he was younger or a miyagi movie That whole story with sato and yukie leading up to miyagi leaving to USA could be made to a movie easy. Miyagi life when comes to USA could be made into a series. So much to tell.
I think if Miyagi had ever fought Kim Sun-Yung, it would have rung some alarm bells for him in Karate Kid 3 as Terry introduced himself as Kim's student. Granted that this series had yet to be conceptualized back then, but we don't see any memorabilia mentioning him in Miyagi's box of treasures. You would think he'd want to keep a memento or something even if the small discrepancy there could be explained away by Miyagi being very capable of hiding his feelings.
well if miyagi fought kim he would of won but a close fight, remember when kreese was asking kim to join the sekai taikai with his students? he said that no one will stand in their way but kim said before that “you never focus on whats in the way of the prize” which me he was focused on the prize, didnt think about who or how good his opponent was put up a good fight but in the end lost
Yes it could be like that. The only problem I see is that Silver mentioned the name Kim Sun-yung to Miyagi in _The Karate Kid Part III_ , and Miyagi reacted like he never heard that name before. But maybe Kim fought there under an other name or so, thats possible. If it took place, it was most probably around 1947 or so. But I could indeed see a realistic scenario which would make sense: They fought in the finals and Kim injured Miyagi on his head because he fought unfair. Then Kim tried to kill Miyagi with these snake bite strikes (like the Silver-Bullet), but Miyagi countered it with the drum, punched Kim's face in, and knocked him to the floor (like Daniel did with Chozen in 1985). Technically The Drum is the perfect counter for these "snake strikes", which are executed like The Silver-Bullet or that punch Kreese used in his dream against Johnny, when he killed Johnny. But then Miyagi threw the trophy away because he hated his experience. So or so the Chozen actor Yuji Okumoto was asked by "Cobra Kai Nation" in a red carpet interview what he thinks that so many fans believe Chozen is currently the nr. 1 fighter in the _Cobra Kai_ show, and he said: _"They are close to that. Miyagi is the number 1"_ . But he didnt say Sunyung is in his current state (age) better or as good as Miyagi, nor did he say Sunyung can match Chozen right now. I would not be surprised if Chozen is the one who s gonna kill that old Kim in the end, using the technique in the scroll.
Interesting theory. In KK3 when Terry Silver told Miyagi and Daniel his master was Kim Sun Yung of South Korea, Miyagi didn't react to it or even acknowledge knowing who he is.
Perhaps Miyagi had seen Silver practicing at some point in KK3 and knew the moves, so he was able to hold any reaction inside that way Miyagi still had the upper hand.
I kinda thought his lack of reaction was the reaction… it’s retcon anyway this wasn’t planned or anything, the box was just to tie next karate kid to Cobra Kai and now they’re gonna tie all 4 movies in with the box of secrets… I can’t wait lol
I think they did right to show Mr Miyagi's dark part of his life, since many people have done questionable things in their lives, but his involvement in the Sekai Taikai is very interesting and I am very very intrigued to see what they come up with.
I can believe he is the founder of the ST but I think he didn't fight but his buddy did. The grandfather of the boxer and he might be Julie's grandfather as well, so they are cousins 😅 another option could be that his buddy was Johnny's father. That would be insane and will close the show full circle!!! If he fought I can see that miyagi fought a kim or even a kreese in the ST.
I don’t think Kreese ever competed in the Sekai Takai himself, he only knew about it because Terry Silver showed it to him but he said they weren’t ready
@xxx-funandtheories8337 Well I hope the final episodes starting November 15th will cure all our curiosities into Miyagis past and explain what we've all been anticipating for a long time.
@nikkoshiasophan6027 I agree 👍 now I have a feeling they go with kim is miyagis brother. That would all make sense somehow and can close the circle! Kreese would stop because he will know that he always taught miyagi do and even Daniel would be ok with Johnny bringing back The CK in the end !!! That would explain that miyagis brother left the country maybe to korea and also master kim was all about revenge somehow, like he told Kreese : now you finally understand 🤔 so he knows about miyagi. And miyagi knew about him as we saw in kk3. Like he wasn't wondering whom silver talked about. Well if the writers go with that I hope
My guess : it was a brother or close friend of Kim. Miyagi just barely won and severely harmed the guy, which formed Kim’s no mercy ideology. Silver talked to Kim on the phone about it and learned the whole story which is what was really caused him to double down on the bizarre revenge plan in KK3, beyond just avenging Kreese.
Maybe Miyagi's tarnished past will be what helps Daniel evolve. Daniel never gives Johnny a chance to prove that he's not the same Johnny he was in high school. If Daniel sees that Miyagi had a change in his life, it can help him see redemption in Johnny and even Kreese. In all the seasons, it is Daniel who can't stop living in the past.
Just a theory...I believe the necklace has to do with Miyagi's wife. I suspect it was stolen from her belongings upon her death at Manzanar. Miyagi likely found the culprit who refused to give it up (hence a fight ensued) and then told law enforcement a one-sided story claiming Miyagi stole it from him.
Unless the old tournament was a death match this whole plot point contradicts Miyagi saying in the first movie that he doesn’t know how tournaments work because he never went to one. Love the show but I don’t know if I’m liking this backstory they’re trying to give Miyagi. Makes me wish they wouldn’t do a prequel series.
The reason Mr. Miyagi fight in thesikai tai, From what I think is that he pressed for left Okinawa he found a new door. He came back, and he wanted to see how good he really was in his martial art, and I was the only way he could find out and see if he was better than his friend.
Maybe Mr miyagi is preparing Daniel to fight in the sekai takai so that's why he is always fighting in a tournament to train himself in the sekai takai
It’s Julie’s handband. She fought in the tournament in the 90s and died against the female Cobra Kai sensei. Hence why the blood on it is still reddish.
Loose ends to tie up: -Miyagi's Boxing friend, clubs/dojos they owned, and Miyagis Caucasian friends in the US who helped him when he left Okinawa. Daniel and Julie Pierce are part of this equation also. They represent his 'peaceful' legacy that he left behind after his traumatic past experiences. Daniel wanting to carry on the dojo are his karmic reward for turning over a new leaf and it's important that this survives as a testament to his later good character. -Losing his family after WW2 and the experiences in war that made him become a Karate Sensei while in Okinawa, and his young life with Sato. I imagine he saved Sato at some point just like Kreese did with Silver, which was reflected in the storm scene in KK2, Miyagi was the original alpha and his friend hated him for leaving him behind. -The key puzzle is the role played by Miyagis participation in the Sekai Taikai, his motivation to join, him being a team captain for Okinawan Miyagi Do, avenging a friend, retrieving his wife's stolen necklace and assaulting the thief, potentially causing a death at the tournament using the 'savage' side of Miyagi Do that Chozen revealed, and at what point did these things take place in his lifetime before he left for a peaceful life in the US, becoming the reformed character we see in the original films? -The role of Master Kim in Miyagi's life, assuming they are roughly the same age, and knowing that the villains in this series generally act to trigger violence/unrestrained reaction from the heroes, is it possible that his dojo naturally had encountered Miyagi Do through the tournament and attacked Miyagi's friend in some way, causing his violent response at the end of the tournament? -The All Valley Karate scene, will Daniel step aside and let Johnny run a 'positive' Cobra Kai to be a dominant karate method that goes global after or at the next Sekai Taikai? As a karmic reward for kicking him in the face? Let me know how you would tie up these loose ends:
I think it was the opposite, i believe Mr. Miyagi hurt someone bad or even killed his opponent. I believe that was his opponents blood on his head band. It would also explain why he hates tournaments and fighting itself so much
Could make a case that miyagi might have beat someone really bad in the tournament, or had a student either got beat or beat someone real bad. Who knows maybe miyagi and Kim sung Yun had some type of interaction in kk3 when Terry silver said to miyagi was trained in tang so do in Korea my master Kim sang Yun, and silver said he sends his regards. Think the knew each other maybe could have been friends or in aquinatance. Maybe had a disagreement of things is possible. Kind of like Soto had with miyagi but miyagi and Soto worked it out.
Maybe when Mr. Miyagi fought In The SEKAI TAIKAI, he was doing it against his will. like how Daniel was bullied into that 2ed all Valley. And what's to say that blood was his own, maybe he killed in that contest. When Mike Barns said people have died in that contest, it was clearly a motivation tactic, but he could be basing it on a real event he heard about. Not knowing if it were even true he went with it to motivate the kids and make them take the event serious.
@@Kyraan-b1i so after Daniel defeated him at end of Season 5 Silver broke out of jail and snuck into Miyagi-Do Dojo like he did in Karate Kid 3 and planted this stuff there?
You’re forgetting the part in _the Karate Kid (1)_ where Daniel asks something about the tournament & Miyagi answers “Don’t know…First time you, first time me!!” & one of the major things through Daniel’s training _(at EVERY LEVEL)_ is “Karate is for defense only” i find Miyagi’s history as a tournament fighter to be kinda shaky at best
What if, along with Sato & Mr. Miyagi, Kim was also a student of Miyagis father? At some point he returns to or moves to Korea & starts Cobra Kai. A form relying strongly on offense. Whereas after a dark past Mr Miyagi taught Daniel a form relying strongly on defense that became Miyagi Do.
I don think that was his blood on his headband but rather his opponents blood. I also think Miyagi may have seriously wounded or killed his opponent AND that’s why he doesn’t like tournaments.
Maybe Master Kim Sun Young was Mr. Miyagi's master. Maybe Mr. Miyagi used to be Kim Sun Young's master. That would be a great plot twist. Maybe Mr. Miyagi's dark past could cause the Miyagi Do students like Sam to join Cobra Kai because she believed that Mr. Miyagi who her father Daniel Larusso had tremendous respect for, was a fraud and a liar.
I personally think that Miyagi had blood on he's sekai taikia band because he killed someone accidently (or not) in the Sekai taikia and one of the things that made me think that is when the "bad boy of karate" idk how he is called but he said that some people even die in the sekai taikia and I believe that is why Miyagi hates tournaments too.

But by not showing him the other side too, he mistakenly put Danny in the situation he is in now. Although he might of got humbled by Kim Sun-Yung, he didn't took the dark side. Close but got it backwards. Miyagi becoming peaceful is because he got humbled. But not from getting beat badly. From killing another man and realizing how dangerous he is and that it’s wrong to harm someone in a tournament or for any reason other than defense. He has lost at some point. He says someone always knows more in the original film but I believe a high percentage of his transition into the wise old man is due to him realizing he can kill people with his fighting abilities and he should never use it unless it’s for self defense

Theory, this actually goes back to the karate kid 2 Miyagi left Okinawa because of Yuki, she was supposed to marry Sato but she did not thou she was in love with Miyagi, so he leaves Okinawa, and Sato sends someone after Miyagi from Okinawa to American to put an end of Miyagi which he had no choice but to enter that sekai tai tournament. He fought except the opponent ended up a close friend of Miyagi the person Sato sent it was out for blood then that tournament became so intense perhaps that person died and Miyagi felt guilt which was a learning lesson when he was young. It explains why he did not want daniel to get involved in any tournament but he did tell daniel only in defense do not run into something if you don’t have to but daniel situation was somewhat similar to Miyagi then The difference is daniel kept getting caught in the cross fire, he always put himself in that position completely different or similar on what happens to young Miyagi. Perhaps that dream daniel had on cobra Kai of Miyagi trying to tell daniel he never listened is actually displaying miyagi as daniel protector telling him you should never competed at all. Miyagi teaching Training is for self defense only not to run in a tournament that could end him. Perhaps Miyagi is not able to rest because he already no Daniel fate.
People gain wisdom through experience, and most often that comes in the form of making mistakes. Miyagi was once young like everyone else. He had experiences in his life that gave him that wisdom. So, I have no issues with him having a checkered past. We call the main character in the story a protagonist, a key element though for a protagonist is for them to grow and change due to the experiences they have in the story. No doubt Mr. Miyagi has his own story.
Is it still possible that Miyagi did NOT fight in the Sekai taikai tournament? Is it possible that he had someone else's headband? Like a student's, or a friend's?
My theory is after miyagi got out of the military and WW2 what if the loss of his wife and child sent him in a drunken rampage hence the break in? Also what if the seki teki is the catalyst to why he always says fighting not good?

That's true. And I have been saying this the past couple of weeks. I'm guessing Mr. Miyagi had to do some horrific stuff in order to survive that tournament.
@stevendrumm4957 Hardly. Unlike the All-Valley Tournament, the Sekai Taikai is not a light-contact points sparring match tournament. Mike Barnes emphasizes this point in S6, and implies that it's quite dark. Furthermore, Daniel asks Mr. Miyagi in KKI: "What are the rules here?" Miyagi: "Don't know. First time you, first time me." Mr. Miyagi had never attended an All-Valley Karate Tournament before, so Mr. Miyagi was being honest in telling Daniel that he didn't know what the rules of the All-Valley Tournament are. Even light-contact points sparring tournaments differ in rules.

His wife and child died in an internment camp because there was not adequate medical care. He is still grieving and these wounds are still very much fresh. You cant compare Miyagi from this time to the one we saw that had 40 years to overcome this . Two very different people
This is my theory as well.
Yup, just like in KK3, when Silver told Miyagi, "War changes a man," and Miyagi nods yes at him.
yes this I agree. That's not necessarily Miyagis blood. I think he really hurt someone
Mr miyagi doesn’t know who Kim sun yung is since he left Okinawa before ww2 according to chozen

Maybe Mr. Miyagi almost killed someone or DID kill someone, maybe that’s why he’s not a fan of tournaments
@grudgematch6653 that's what i think
That was my first thought as well.🤷🏼♀️
@grudgematch6653 I feel the same. If Miyagi didn't almost die himself, then he killed someone. Maybe the headband isn't his blood but a reminder of who he killed. I think the kids are in for much more than they anticipate.
Yup that's what I'm thinking as well
I can't picture him loosing so I think he hurt someone
I guess Miyagis dark past is the reason why he knew the monks in Next Karate Kid maybe he got badly injured and treated by the monks. The monks knew how to train figthing without being able to see.
That shows how blinded Daniel was thinking that Mr. Miyagi was the all saints good and wise master… besides,… I think Mr. Miyagi‘s final opponent and tormenter at the Sekai Taikai was none other than Master Kim Sung Yong, master of John Kreese…..
Which got me thinking, Kreese and Silver must have not been very good students of Master Kim Sung Yong, since Miyagi made easy work of them in KK3.
@@TheHaloRedthey were blatantly underestimating him when they "fought" at the dojo...
Miyagi made sure that Daniel didn’t find out the truth because he may of felt like Daniel would be upset and wouldn’t wanna stay with
Miyagi-Do.
I believe he participated in the sekai taikai when he was much younger, after the Second World War he was already in his 40s and I don't think he could participate in the tournament, in my opinion it is the young miyagi who was just 20 years old and aggressive and who committed a robbery who participated in the tournament
PS:miyagi has no children and has never had a wife, he wanted to marry Yuki but we know how that ended
@@Kibutsuji-w1i Miyagi had a wife and lost a child. That is canon
Tnaboy ❤Fnaboy $ is a 😅 1:17
I think it’s possible Miyagi actually severely injured/ killed someone.

I think Daniel is too judgmental and too quick to jump to conclusions.
@@nuthingbutnonecents3386 At least Chozen may fight answers in Okinawa. Maybe Daniel might find answers in the sekai taikai tournament past in the halls of fame?

What if Mr.Miyagi used offense in the sekai tekai and killed someone using offense and now thats why he only teaches defense to Daniel. Plus Chozen told Daniel that Mr.Miyagi had secret techniques that Mr.Miyagi kept a secret from Daniel.
Part 2 or 3 will explain
It makes sense why Mr Miyagi is very wise when he got older and it’s why he hated fighting
The sekai takai is the reason Myagi doesn't like tournaments.
In KK3 when Silver introduces himself for the first time to Mr. Miyagi and Daniel as student of Master Kim Seong Yung of South Korea, Mr. Miyagi didn’t even react so Mr. Miyagi probably didn’t even know who Kim was.
First comment.Mr Miyagi was a great character.
They need a miyagi spinoff from when he was younger or a miyagi movie That whole story with sato and yukie leading up to miyagi leaving to USA could be made to a movie easy. Miyagi life when comes to USA could be made into a series. So much to tell.
Who else swears they remembered Miyagi & Daniel-san wearing red rising sun headbands as part of the mandela effect
I trust the Big Three. They never disappointed me.
In the name of Jon, Josh and Hayden. Amen.
It's because he killed his opponent
Good vid bro
Comic Kai never dies!
Interesting theory. In KK3 when Terry Silver told Miyagi and Daniel his master was Kim Sun Yung of South Korea, Miyagi didn't react to it or even acknowledge knowing who he is.
Been saying this for years lol
Perhaps Miyagi had seen Silver practicing at some point in KK3 and knew the moves, so he was able to hold any reaction inside that way Miyagi still had the upper hand.
Maybe Mr. Miyagi didn't want to talk about him?
I kinda thought his lack of reaction was the reaction… it’s retcon anyway this wasn’t planned or anything, the box was just to tie next karate kid to Cobra Kai and now they’re gonna tie all 4 movies in with the box of secrets… I can’t wait lol
@@rayfann7860 Maybe Mr. Miyagi was trying to keep the past...in the past.

@@xxx-funandtheories8337 plausible theory. 🤔
My theory is that he killed someone or almost killed someone in the sekai taikai but he felt guilty about it and changed his ways
Imagine if someone is trying to entrap Mr. Miyagi?
Unless the old tournament was a death match this whole plot point contradicts Miyagi saying in the first movie that he doesn’t know how tournaments work because he never went to one.
Love the show but I don’t know if I’m liking this backstory they’re trying to give Miyagi. Makes me wish they wouldn’t do a prequel series.
he simply lied to him because he didn't want to give Daniel such a vision of karate, miyagi hid many things from him and this is one of them
Will there be kreese and sliver prequel as well
The reason Mr.
"For life, not for points!"
Okay I think that miyagi in the sekai tekai came very close with the guy that beat him but if it was like sung yung probably did some dirty move
The reason he doesnt like tournaments is because he killed someone in the sekai takai
I think majagi took a life at the sekai takai
I think it has to do with honor out of respect to his father is why he entered the tournament.
Miyagi killed someone in the sekai taikai and that's why he doesn't like tournaments and karate is for defense only.
It’s Julie’s handband. She fought in the tournament in the 90s and died against the female Cobra Kai sensei. Hence why the blood on it is still reddish.
Loose ends to tie up:
-Miyagi's Boxing friend, clubs/dojos they owned, and Miyagis Caucasian friends in the US who helped him when he left Okinawa.
Let me know how you would tie up these loose ends:
this whole storyline just shows that even mr miyagi isnt perfect and that everybody no matter how good they are makes mistakes
I wish there was a new Karate Kid movie about this.
I think it was the opposite, i believe Mr. Miyagi hurt someone bad or even killed his opponent. I believe that was his opponents blood on his head band. It would also explain why he hates tournaments and fighting itself so much
John Kreese is gonna turn into the new Mr. Miyagi at the conclusion of The Cobra Kai series
Not every villain character needs a redemption arc.
Some characters are just meant to be villains, and not every villain needs to become good.
@@remc0s Yeah, that's true. Especially after getting the knife from.the snake scene.

i bet u mr miyagi must of killed someone at one point at the tournament, which made him hate daniel going to tournaments and fighting.

I am pretty sure that means first time at the valley though, not first time at a tournament
Probably for the same reason with Daniel doing the karate tournaments
What if, along with Sato & Mr. Miyagi, Kim was also a student of Miyagis father? At some point he returns to or moves to Korea & starts Cobra Kai. A form relying strongly on offense. Whereas after a dark past Mr Miyagi taught Daniel a form relying strongly on defense that became Miyagi Do.
I don think that was his blood on his headband but rather his opponents blood. I also think Miyagi may have seriously wounded or killed his opponent AND that’s why he doesn’t like tournaments.
From what we know about the miyagi verse, it could be anything

Close but got it backwards. Miyagi becoming peaceful is because he got humbled. But not from getting beat badly. From killing another man and realizing how dangerous he is and that it’s wrong to harm someone in a tournament or for any reason other than defense. He has lost at some point. I don't think Mr Miyagi got beaten or severely injured he could just have been in an extreme fight that made him bleed or maybe Miyagi was so thirsty with rage or hatred that he beat a guy to death and his blood could belong to the one who was beaten to death by miyagi there may be 2 solutions to this either the blood in miyagi that he got in an extreme fight or it's what than another
it is the things you have done in your life both good and bad that make you who you are.
I dunno, I think with Barnes setting it up that people have died in the tournament, it's possible Miyagi killed someone

I wonder if he knew John kreese when he fought in that tournament
My guess is Mr Miyagi needed money to start his new life in the US and buy a house and his classic cars collection

Mr. Miyagi won the sekai tekai but he killed is opponent too
He killed someone
In cobra kai season 6 part 2
Daniel got the list of the sekai teikai when miyagi was in
It said ended by death and miygi was alive after so he killed someone to win or accidentally
Miyagi killed someone in the Sakai Takai. That's why he hated tournaments. Why he became a pacifist and why he didn't want Daniel fighting tournaments.
Except the very first tournament in 1984. Miyagi made that deal with Kreese that Daniel and Johnny fight in the tournament rather than the dojo.
@@joesamson26Doing a deal once so he can stop being bullied is one thing, but he was worried that Daniel was going to make it a habit and drive him over the edge like he experienced is what I believe
@joesamson26 that was so Daniel could face his bully on a fair playing field.
@@TheCoasterDude Miyagi also could've taught Daniel how to box and put him in the ring if he wanted to.
How do you kill someone in match with light contact points that makes no sense
Maybe, just MAYBE, the bloody Sekai Taikai headband isn’t even Miyagi’s? 🤷♂️ Perhaps it belonged to a friend of his, that DID fight in the tournament - and died? Miyagi could’ve been there just for support, but didn’t compete him self? I don’t know, just a thought 🤗 Many times the creators of Cobra Kai wants us to obviously believe a certain specific thing, and then during a later reveal it wasn’t at all what we thought 🤔 Then again, it could also easily be Miyagi’s, I guess we’ll find out 🤗.. I DO agree, no matter what, that the Sekai Taikai somehow helped shaping him into the Miyagi that Daniel met 👍
Also. Do you remember when Miyagi was training Daniel on the boat, when they talked about Miyagi also having fought bullies at a younger age? Daniel says to him; “Yeah, but you knew karate?”. Miyagi replied; “Someone always knows more” 🤷♂️ Somehow I have a hunch, THAT scene will be used as a flashback in Part 2, and it’ll tie in directly with the Sekai Taikai 😯
Thanks for your video’s, as always! 💪🙏
Daniel wasnt the badguy in karatekid. LoL
Miyagi didnt almost die, he almost killed someone is my prediction.
Mr Miyagi did not loose in the sekai takai , 1 of the rules of mr Miyagi is if u have to figth win . He told Julie Pearce this also .
That's true. And I have been saying this the past couple of weeks. I'm guessing Mr. Miyagi had to do some horrific stuff in order to survive that tournament.
Nah he won, hence the blinged out cars and zero hesitation betting big money on daniel son breaking the ice blocks
In KK1,😊 Mr. Miyagi told Daniel.that he had never competed in a tournament before. He obviously lied.
He said for life not for points
@stevendrumm4957
Hardly.
@@lizzkaayako2270than how they qualify by doing light contact points and same for the captain spot light contact
@@Pierre-LucBeauregardThanks for reminding me
Miyagi killed his opponent Claramunt in Sekai Taikai Tournament.
And plus mr miyagi hates fighting
Can you plz do another one of these I think this was almost right Bcs I think Mr mygi killed someone in the championship I think that’s y he doesn’t like competition
Mr Miyagi killed someone in the sekai taikai
Okay I might just be dumb so if someone could help me here. The Sekai Taikai is a KARATE tournament. It seems like they're going to say that Mr. Miyagi fought Master Kim in the ST, but Master Kim did Tang Soo Do...wouldn't they not be in the same tournament?
Doesn’t matter. It’s not a one skill set tournament
@@Sweptupbottle But from my understanding of it, calling Tang Soo Do karate is like calling a sprint a marathon. Wouldn't there be separate divisions for the different martial arts? Unless I'm totally wrong
@@worldsmostaveragemagician2246 Well just looking at Miyagi do they use tang soo do and Miyagi’s style so I don’t think it’s a one style tournament. Every tournament I’ve been a part of was always multi style. “May the best style win” was always at the end of the speech they give after introductions and rules
@@worldsmostaveragemagician2246tang soo do is korean karate in the true sense of the word, it is practically identical to karate but it does not have kata, I know this because I practiced karate and tang soo do has the same basic techniques
@@Kibutsuji-w1i I see, so they'd be competing in the same event because they're just different words for the same thing. Thank you
I think he lost to kim sun yungpr he was so ashamed the way he won he just threw his trophy away
Maybe Kim Sung is Mr. Miyagi's father. Kim Sun Yung: Miyagi! I am your father.
@myronstokes5585 Miyagi's father died in part 2, remember?
miyagi's father died in KK2 and kim would have to be much older if he was his father
Cobra Kai and Daniel’s loose behavior and insistent on competing tells me that he learned absolutely nothing from Miyagi San
The series is a disgrace to the karate kid franchise and a slap in the face to Mr. Miyagi’s legacy
Not everything is as it seems. There's always more to the story.
Mr miyagi might have took the necklace beacuse of his wife because in 84/85 he told Daniel his wife died so maybe when he stole it he did not succeed which led to her death Or Clarmunt (the person he killed) could have been the one who could have beat her up so took her to the hospital 🏥 quick but there was no technology back then which led to her death So when Miyagi knew he was angry then he knew Claremont would fight in the Sekai takai he joined and killed him with the sunset kick that's why its banned
And btw this might not be true is a theory btw bye😂
I think mr.miyagi killed his opponent in saki takai that's what he was hiding from daniel
Why be surprised that Miyagi fought in the sekai takai tournament? I mean, Dinitri fought there too
