"Ready to hit the dirt?" You mean, "go in the dirt?" Crashes, resets glitching out, and a low player base. You can already tell this game's going into the racing hall of shame.
Didn't have crashes since the day -1 patch tbf, but the player base is small and it's made worse by the fact multiplayer is baaaaaad. Particularly joining games and not being able to control anything besides Normal or Party game modes. The quality of play is mostly ramming off people for racing line, which even if you are a much quicker driver results in you being stuck in battle as you go back and forth every corner. Helps too when you get punted into the wall in the first turn and can only recover to 3rd while practically setting purple everywhere. I don't get why there are so many people now defending the game on steam discussions. The only good things are the locations, car selection (wished it had a few more cars tho) and weather (though it changes too quickly, but snow in more than just snow locations is goood). It's still (short) fun with the right cars, but even then I'd prefer something closer to 2/3. Can't be the only one who expected that. They gained a lot of points with DR1+2.0, but man, with this release and the Take2over they might as well be dead to me now. So all in all I finished every race in SP and played about 10-15 online races and attempted 2 playground modes. Game feels pretty much done for me now. Talking about playground: It is a good idea, but I don't think it'll keep me occupied - I'm simply not the guy who plays such modes. That 7min obstacle course might be worth a few go's, and maybe I'll find a few more but idk. If Super GT played on PC I at least would have had a chance to play with him. Bummer. Can't brag about beating him on 99% of events too. :/
