It’s not the Finnish anthem, guys, it’s the Estonian (Estonia copied Finland’s anthem, look it up lol. They hav ether same instrumental, same melody, and similar rhythm)
Okay, let's clarify: 1. The double cross was added by Béla the III. He was raised and educated in the Byzantine Empire. That was symbolising the alliance between Hungary and Byzantine Empire. 2. The black raven with a gold ring, was the herald animal of Matthias Corvinus Hungarian king's family. (15th century) 3. The "mountains" in the coat of arms are the symbol of land. In this case, Hungarian land, on that you see the crown, this means the king rules the lands and on that the cross is placed, what means god rules the king. 4. The angels holding the coat of arms first appeared in architecture, because on administrative buildings they put the coat of arms on and it was usual to add angels and other relievos on buildings frontage, so it was obvious that angels gonna hold it. It been added to some flags later, people really liked this we are in god's hands meaning. 5. The cut out coat of arms, was only until the revolution was happening in 1956. That been crushed by the soviet union, but it shaked them, because they needed they whole red army, to come here crush some Budapest students, boys and girls who stole tanks and weapons from the army... I hope it clarified some parts for curious viewers!
Also for number 3) as far as i know one explanation says that it is for the Western-Central-Eastern parts of Hungary divided by the Danube and the Tisza rivers: Transdanubia, Danube-Tisza Interfluve, Transtisza (Dunantul, Duna-Tisza koze, Tiszantul).

Nice vid. The 1946-49 emblem on the flag called Kossuth emblem which was firstly used in the 1848-49 revolution. And when the regime changed in 1990, after the soviets, the parliament held a voting about emblems. Lastly the crowned emblem has been voted. The crown and the cross are sacral symbols. The crown(with Hungary) is offered to Virgin Mary(Madonna) by Saint Stephen. So she is our celestial queen, it is the one reason why we call the crown to Holy Crown.(In Hungary we have a big cult of Mary). About the apostolic cross: when the state founded, Pope Sylvester II gave many rights to the newly independent state. So when a lot of european kingdom, empire, etc. suffered from the will of the pope, Hungary had granted rights to organize church districts, nominate bishops, etc. at its own. So now you can sense the presence of the angels beside the emblem. But it is just a slice of history, you can search for more info about it. Greetings from Hungary! :)

About the Byzentine cross: The cross in the hungarian coat of arms are really a byzantine cross, the Byzantine Empire and the Holy Roman Empire fought a political proxy war with eachother for controlling the kingdom at the time - our Holy Crown represent this too since part of it a traditinal so called Latin crown and the other part are a traditinal Byzantine crown - and somewhere in history the 2 crown merged into one. 1172 for example the date when III Béla suceeded (after a bloody war for succesion - following the good old Árpád way of sucession) - and he spent most of he's life before this event in Constantinople (as "hostage" after a war with them) - in fact the Byzantine Empire supported him with soldiers and money during the succession war against he's brother Prince Géza (Géza partoke in the 3rd Crusade, so he had many connection with german, italian and france noble's, and he tried to use these connections - until he got betrayed and handed over to III Béla - needless to say what happened after that). So thats the story about the Byzantine cross, after implementation no one bothered to change it even after the Byzantine influence nullified.

Nice from an englishman! Really nice! Lots of hungarians don't know that many things about our flag's history. But you have asked questions: 1. The double cross It is a very very interesting theme of the history, especially for a Hungarian. The Hungarian double cross is NOT the same with the modern, popular orthodox cross, but it is still the same with the original one. For first hear, it sounds complicated. In the Hungarian public awarness, the double cross is related to the Apostols' Cross, the Hungarian Kings' coronation-power symbol. II. Sylvester (Pope) gave this symbol, to I. St. Stephen, and in the late middle age, the cronicers thought, it was the double cross. But it's not true, becouse the Apostols' Cross was a simple cross. This is the cultural-traditional story for the double cross. The reality is that: III. Béla (one of the greatest Hungarian Kings) used this symbol firstly, becouse he grove up in the Bysantine Court and he was the heir to the crown. He wanted to communicate his claim to the Throne of Bysantium with the double cross, becouse the it was the Bysanthine Ceasars' symbol. The later Hungarian Kings used it from his reign. I'm happy if could help you. Sorry for the mistakes if they were. Greetigs from Hungary! A Hungarian history-fan and medieval fighter. HUNGARIAN KINGDOM IS GOING TO BE REUNITED QUICKLY! ruclips.net/video/bhZutzcTc7Y/видео.html

@8:06 - I was checking the comments below regarding the angels and I am surprised that nobody mentioned the crown's Hungarian legend. According to the legend the crown was not given by any pope or ruler but was brought from heaven by two angels. The crown itself is such an amazing topic that it would take hours just to sift through the many theories of its origin and then we still wouldn't have touched on its incredible known history or its anomalies like Egyptian and christian symbolism on a seemingly Byzantine influenced creation. Thanks for this video. Cheers.
@@patrikmezei3024 It is not from the Nitra cross. The Nitra cross was horizontal at the time. As he said, that is a simple Bizantyne Cross, a common religious simbol.

The red-white-green was originally used by King Matthias Hunyadi from 1458-1490, but not as a flag: it was the color of strings used to tie official royal documents. Later the color was adopted as the national flag. Official documents are still often being bound with red-white-green cord today, most commonly case files at courts.

Actually there is a mountainpeak called Nagy-Milic at the Hungarian-Slovakian border with a cross on top of it. That cross has the trimount symbol you mentioned. If the symbol is green, then the slovaks come and repaint it to blue, then the hungarians notice it, then repaint it to green, and it goes on and on. It has a different color almost every week. It's kinda funny I think :)
Ok so I you had many mistakes in this video. As a Hungarian, I recognized almost all of them ( note: they are NOT in order of the video ): 1. The colors of the flag DO have a meaning : Red: Power White: Loyalty 2. If you could write Árpád, you could've just wrote Mátra and Tátra 3. When you said that in 1848 we had enough or something, that triggered me. We weren't independent, we would be constantly under the controll of the Austrians. yeah, thx for reading (If you find any grammar or even history mistakes in the comment, feel free to correct me)
The angels holding the coat of arms have an apparently simple explanation. The first king of Hungary allegedly offered the country unto the protection of the Virgin Mary, thus creating a saintly quality to the kingship itself. This king was raised to the rank of sainthood by a later Pope and his bond of saintly quality with the second most holy figure of the catholic church i.e. the Virgin Mary gradually transfered a holy quality upon the "crown of St. Stefan" the coronation crown of the kings of Hungary attributed to this first king. This eventually culminated into the medieval so called "doctrine of the crown" which is complex. But read about it if you can. ...Hence the heavenly creatures holding the coat of arms.
I've read that the angels are heraldic symbols of Justice and Abundance as blessings, and they are mostly used with the middle and greater coat of arms of the Kingdom
Isten, áldd meg a magyart, Jó kedvvel, bőséggel, Nyújts feléje védő kart, Ha küzd ellenséggel Bal sors akit régen tép, Hozz rá víg esztendőt Megbűnhődte már e nép A múltat s jövendőt
8:00 As for the angels: At the time of Austro-Hungary the depicted coat of arms was the so called small coat of arms. There was a middle coat of arms, where the shield from the small coat of arms was surrounded by Hungary's partner countries (Dalmatia, Croatia, Slavonia, Transylvania, Bosnia and Fiume as a city state). The middle coat of arms was held by two angels. (there was also a big coat of arms, it was rarely used, it contained the Hungarian middle coat of arms, and the Austrian middle coat of arms, held by a two headed eagle on the Austrian side, and by an angel on the Hungarian side) After the first world war the partner countries were detached from Hungary. The small coat of arms with the angels (depicted at 8:00 ) was used since 1919 as a tribute to the old country. As before the second world war some regions got reattached to Hungary, the middle coat of arms returned, depicting the recently reattached regions and the angels so the angels were no longer in use on the small coat of arms since 1938.
Our official flag does not have the symbol in the middle. The flag with the symbol in the middle is only used at city halls, at historical holidays. Not even in the Olimpics.
"Unique" bent cross on the top of the crown... Yeah... In an accident, the cross became bent, and instead of repairing it, we pretend it was always like that. In fact, it symbolizes us quite well :D

Greetings from your grandsons in Slovakia! 🇸🇰♥️🇭🇺

But you have asked questions:
1. The double cross
It is a very very interesting theme of the history, especially for a Hungarian.
The reality is that:
III. Béla (one of the greatest Hungarian Kings) used this symbol firstly, becouse he grove up in the Bysantine Court and he was the
heir to the crown. He wanted to communicate his claim to the Throne of Bysantium with the double cross, becouse the it was the Bysanthine
Ceasars' symbol. The later Hungarian Kings used it from his reign.
I'm happy if could help you. Sorry for the mistakes if they were. Greetigs from Hungary!

As a Hungarian, I recognized almost all of them ( note: they are NOT in order of the video ):
1. The colors of the flag DO have a meaning :
Red: Power
White: Loyalty
2. If you could write Árpád, you could've just wrote Mátra and Tátra
3. When you said that in 1848 we had enough or something, that triggered me. We weren't independent, we would be constantly under the controll of the Austrians.
yeah, thx for reading
(If you find any grammar or even history mistakes in the comment, feel free to correct me)
The angels holding the coat of arms have an apparently simple explanation.
1:27 I like how Ireland is just called "Irish"

Te Magyar vagy?
Mellette nem kell elszavalni most a himnuszt
8:00 As for the angels:
At the time of Austro-Hungary the depicted coat of arms was the so called small coat of arms. There was a middle coat of arms, where the shield from the small coat of arms was surrounded by Hungary's partner countries (Dalmatia, Croatia, Slavonia, Transylvania, Bosnia and Fiume as a city state). The middle coat of arms was held by two angels.
(there was also a big coat of arms, it was rarely used, it contained the Hungarian middle coat of arms, and the Austrian middle coat of arms, held by a two headed eagle on the Austrian side, and by an angel on the Hungarian side)
After the first world war the partner countries were detached from Hungary.
