    I bought a 40" Leaps & Rebounds Rebounder about 3+ weeks ago and had to start VERY slowly too. I had a hysterctomy 2 yrs ago so my abs are still weak, but wow! My inner thighs were bumpy and ugh not great and that is gone! They firmed up fast. Was amazing. My plan is to get back into walking again, outside in nature, hit the 55+ community gym for heavy lifting, do my stretching exercise video and I joined Earth & Owl rebounder exercise classes on youtube and will work my way up to being able to do way more on my rebounder. I LOVE rebounding. Makes me feel a joy that reminds me of the joy I felt as a kid, swimming, for instance. ❤

    Rebounding helps w/ bone density (jumping/impact helps maintain bone density. At 60, not interested in impact on hardwood floor, tile, etc so getting impact on rebounder is soo much better), lymph drainage, and sparking every cell in your body when you bounce. There's a NASA study published back in the 80's. Bought one 3 months ago. I turn on my music and bounce to a song 3-5 x day. And yes, also helps keeping good balance as we age. LOVE mine.

    Hi Kimberly! I am 73 and bought the Leaps & Rebounds rebounder 2 or 3 years ago when you did a video on the benefits of using one. We moved to the Ocean where I could no longer have an entire gym in my basement because there are no basements here. I love this rebounder and use it at least 20 minutes a day, every day. It has improved my balance and kept my fitness at a great level even though I now have arthritis in my hip. The rebounder is still in perfect condition, even with my constant use. Thank you so much for caring and sharing!

    Hi Kimberley, i first became interested in rebounding when you posted your video a couple of years ago and have been rebounding for about 18th months now. I follow Nikki at Earth and Owl on RUclips. She's from Nebraska and has a great channel with heaps of rebounding advice and workouts for all ages and levels. She even workouts with her Grandma Helen who is in her 80's. Definitely worth checking out for any rebounding beginners and our age group. Love from Australia ❤xx

    I bought mine when i saw your video 2 years ago and am enjoying. I was doing different steps and movements at the beginning but i now mainly bounce without my feet leaving the surface. Even though I'm just bouncing only, my heart rate gets up to vigorous pace and i watch youtube videos while on it. I can do that for 30 - 40 min at a time. I also bought a handle thinking i would keep using it when i reach 80. Im glad i did. My 7 year old granddaughter has been enjoying so much as well. The handle allows her to jump even higher and she loves it. This has been a great purchase!

    We also have had our rebound er for 2+ yrs. Ours is a Cellerciser brand. We keep it in the spare bedroom, set up and we watch TV while we do it. Your right, at first I was only able to do maybe 1 min, then I worked my way up…. Now I do it 30 minutes on the days I don’t go to the gym. I go to the gym 3-4 days a week, then on the other days I do my rebounder. I’m 69, and believe me I work on staying healthy. Our rebounder was quite pricey but worth every penny. If you look on the internet, Dave Hall from Utah, the inventor of the Cellerciser, talks about how it helps with your internal organs. God Bless:))

    I've been rebounding since the late 90's with the same rebounder. When you but quality they really do last. I've only had to replace some springs and the rubber tips on the legs. My only wish is that I had the larger size. It wasn't an option back then.

    I had a large, good quality rebounder years ago but because I live in a small apartment, I got tired of moving my furniture to use it, as well as having to see it propped against the wall the rest of the time. I downsized to a pull up bar, several pairs of dumbbells and ankle weights and go for long walks now. If I had a lot of room (and $$) I'd get a Pilates Reformer!

    "I Jump Instead" if you want a comprehensive idea of what a rebounder can do this is the RUclips channel to watch. I bought their beginner series before, but they have so many free programs on their channel. Right now I'm doing their Live daily series but I started right back when they started in June. They are all about the mind body connection and good form. Plus they incorporate stretching and facial exercises. They really can't be beat.

    Just a funny tidbit of info of people who liked using a rebounder that I found online:
    Bob Hope reportedly said, ““I keep my REBOUNDER at the foot of my bed, and use it daily,” and President Ronald Reagan reportedly said, “If you see somebody jumping up and down on the second floor of the White House, that's me rebounding."😂

    While in the States rebounding is very popular in Europe we think differently. Jumping is pushing your bladder and other organs downwards. A Swedish study showed that this causes incontinence. I don’t know who is right, I just pass you the information in case you have problems

    • @Anikanoteven
      @Anikanoteven 4 месяца назад +1

      I had zero incontinent problems when I started on the rebounder, but I know from personal experience that when I first started rebounding I'd have to run to bathroom regularly during a session. Now I can go 40 minutes(I'm not on longer than that and typically 30 mins) without feeling the urge at all. I feel my pelvic floor has 100% improved.

Add music (The Pointer Sisters, "Jump") and it was so fun.
