Drinking water when you wake up is a great strategy, as well. I add a little lemon to my 20 oz of water, take my dogs for their walk, and then have my coffee 30-40 minutes after waking. It does make a HUGE difference in my day. ❤
I would be doomed without protein shakes. I lost my smell & taste 7 years ago (permanent loss) from a TBI. The loss of appetite is so brutal I would be doomed without them. To go with what you said about thoughts. Instead of saying, “I have to…” Say, “I get to…”. It changes your thoughts patterns from lack to surplus. I like the shieshido eyelash curler. It’s very good!
Did you know a cup of edamame contains 18.4 grams of protein, 8 grams of fiber, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, etc. Of vitamins and minerals. I'm in my 70's and it makes such a difference.
Boost has a max high protein drink that has 30 g of protein in it. Comes in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. It only has 1 g of sugar, 160 cal +25 vitamins and minerals. It is gluten-free and has no artificial colors. I order it through Nestlé directly because I can’t find it in stores and it’s less expensive because you get a subscription. I do a three month subscription. It works out to me paying about a dollar or so a bottle. It is 12 ounces. Drink one every morning. And it TASTES good!!!! Great video ! Yes, I agree. Curling eyelashes makes a huge difference. I do it every day. I can see if curling yourself doesn’t work that going to a salon to have it done would be a huge lift to your mood and self-esteem. I did not know it could be done. Thanks for keeping us all in the know Anna !!
I enjoy your videos so much! I have just recently lost 25 lbs. by monitoring both fiber and protein. I also use protein shakes to help my sweet tooth and to have additional protein. I love all the beauty and fashion tips that you share in your videos.
One tip my college roommate showed me: heat up your eye lash curler with the hair dryer, then curl your lashes (careful not to burn yourself). It’s kinda like a curling iron for your eyes! It works really well!
12:06 I really love little time investments like this (getting your lashes curled). I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve actually been thinking about doing a perm on my bangs because I always have a hard time styling them. Stuff like this where you get a professional to do it and then it’s just *done* for a month is so satisfying even if nobody but you knows about it.
Good Morning Anna, great tips! My favorite one is one that I have practiced for decades and it really works to keep your home clutter free. That is only touching something once. I have learned that it really only takes a minute to put something away when I'm done using it, which has helped me incorporate the one touch habit into my everyday life. It's so easy to do and makes a huge difference when I'm making the rounds to tidy up. It's a life changing hack that almost anyone can easily do. Love your channel and content. Keep up the great work! 😊
I drink 30 ounces of water when I wake up and then one cup of coffee, followed by rice cakes with almond butter and blueberries. From a make-up perspective, I love your natural look with a touch of color on your lips. Very simple and elegant.

Thank you for such great tips. I just want to say that your make up looks so good. So natural. Just wanted to tell you that. I also live in FL and its too hot to wear alot of makeup so I feel less is better when it is so hot here. Again thank you for this video.
Genius! I will try the scalp exfoliation. In summer I have a spot at the nape of my neck that stays hot and sweaty all day and the area gets a build-up. I look forward to feeling refreshed. I had taken your advice on using PanOxyl under my arms, but I had the same problem as I did with the pre-surgery scrub. BUT, SURPRISE: using dandruff shampoo under my arms worked like a charm. I can't explain it. All I can say is keep trying different solutions and don't give up. I have had a confident summer because I kept experimenting. Some days, it's just too hot to wear makeup. Not even moisturizer, but I insist on sunscreen. I like Neutrogena Mineral Ultra Sheer that is dry to the touch, and they have a stick version that I carry in my purse. Sunglasses instead of eye makeup is about all I can handle in heat. I have noticed that sunglasses that are raised on those nose pads (like aviator style) allow the most air circulation behind the frames. Otherwise, lip tints or stains feel very light in summer and I can add sunscreen on top without disturbing the color. That's all I need for everyday errands and going out to lunch. Another no-makeup tip is if you get your hair colored, ask your colorist to put a little dark hair dye on the fine light hairs at your eyebrows to make them stand out more and reduce the need for eyebrow pencil. I get "low lights" once a month and the same beautician waxes my eyebrows and lips (I am 67). In the summer I alternate between low lights and highlights to break up the line of grey growing in. Starting in August, I switch to alternating between two shades of low lights. The richer colors fit with the seasonal change in my wardrobe while allowing some of the grey to shine through. I don't wear a lot of makeup, so the hair color gives me a nice lift with my complexion. Wearing saturated clothing colors helps too. Black and neutrals make me look washed out, but I do get a lot of compliments on the neutrals. Ni love your channel, always great tips and I love all the tips people put in the comments. I feel like it's a productive use of my time during my Sunday morning coffee break. Thanks to all who contributed. ❤️
I have no willpower. Need that coffee asap. Interesting concept though. 😂 FYI……the shot of you in car is gorgeous! Wow! I’m over in Cocoa Beach and it’s nice having someone close by who understands the heat we live with. Like your tips!
Whoa...I never heard of professional eyelash curling! Not gonna do it, but it sounds interesting! I just curl mine everyday with a cheap little curler!
Here is an easy way to get protein! Get a can of Amy's or Pacific soup,ADD a can of plain beans or lentils, chicken and cheese. It is so good,so quick. I like to use frozen grilled chicken and frozen chopped onions, cook them together and then add the beans. You can use chili beans, chicken and add sour cream, cheese and even some salsa. So tasty. There are so many flavor options it really doesn't get old. When you add up all the protein you will be shocked.
Honestly, that's too much work for every day. I need a minimum of 120 grams of protein per day. A person over 65 needs twice as much as they needed at 30. The commonly quoted formula of 1/3 gram per pound of body weight is the minimum needed to keep you alive, not for good health. A 30 year old needs twice that much for good health, and as you get older and your digestion becomes less efficient, you need twice as much again. I followed the 1/3 gram formula all my life, with the result that I lost muscle mass, my skin was tissue-thin, and at 60 half my hair fell out. I'm now working on building my body back up. I can't choke down enough solid food to make up 120 grams of protein every single day, so I depend on bovine collagen powder and whey protein to supplement solid food. Left to my own preferences, I'd be a "tea and toast" old lady, severely malnourished because I simply dislike fussing about food. I buy pure supplements with no additives. My skin is thicker and my hair is growing back.
@@edennis8578 maybe it sounds like more work than it is. It is already cooked chicken, you're just heating it up and then opening 2 cans and pouring that on top.
