Thanks for the video. Even the quieter makes some noise. For me it would be imposible to hunt with your red one. And I think I would loose half of the wild boars before shooting with the black one. I'm loocking for a new release searching some information. Thanks, Sarah.
@@juanantonioespinosa8816 thanks for the comment! It depends on how far your shot is, how fast the arrow flight is, how skittish the animals are as well. It's always nice to be as quiet as possible. Usually the bow (or arrow flight) are louder than the release. The quietest release sold by Carter is the Whisper 2. It is even quieter than the revelation in the video here, you might check it out! Good luck to you!
Did you anchor feel different or change? Because the two heads on the releases are in different locations. I wondered if you could still anchor in the same position and still have the right peep alignment? Thanks. Always wondered that. And if if changes much having one with a short neck vs a longer neck? Thanks.
@@PennNative That's a great question! So I still anchored in the same spot with both releases. I put my first two knuckles on the corner of my jaw to anchor. The Revelation feels slightly different than the insatiable because it has a closed loop around the index finger. I prefer an open index finger because of the contact the closed ring has on my cheek. The shorter vs longer neck affects the perceived draw length so a short neck will bring the string in closer to your face. I have a piece of serving material tied as a little nose button so I get the tip of my nose on the string in the same spot. The most important thing is getting your peep and scope in consistent alignment. Even with a slightly different length you can adjust your head position to get the "circle in circle" to line up. If you zoom in on the video during the shots you can see my nose/cheek ends up in the same spot despite the different releases. I also have a video where I did the same comparison with a wrist strap and got the same results, I haven't posted it yet tho 🙂
Magnets lose their magnetism over time, though.. Wonder how this release will work over a 12 month span.. Especially if its stored near your phone, dropped a time or two etc. seems like the trigger would get hotter and hotter.
@@RobertMccoleman that's a good question! I drop all my releases all the time so I can definitely test that out and revisit it down the road. The internet says exposure to high heat can demagnetize a permanent magnet, but not sure if they mean "left out in the sun" or "thrown in a fire" level of heat
Rob from Legacy. Ty for your help and expertise
Yes sir! Glad you got the chance to try shooting it!
Excellent video Sarah! That's a great offering by Carter for sure.
A quiet hunting release is definitely something underestimated in the hunting community!
Great video!! Thanks for sharing Sarah! 👍 🏹
