My cat isnt dead (probably is tho) but she isan outdoor cat. She was a black cat and had eye problems, she loved being pet but hated being picked up. She normally stays near the house whenshe gets out and brings us little birds. One day we let her outside, normally when we let her out she comes back an hour or less later but she was gone for 2 days and i couldn't sleep. Because she would sleep with me every night, thats when we sent out signs and stuff, its been 3 years now though. Back in 2022 i got another cat, jerald dean bean, normally called flubby. She was a fat lil kitten,grey and white. She was super sweet and would always nibble kn your fingers, only a year later i got ANOTHER cat! She was a calico and feisty but loved pets,she didnt like being picked up and always fought back whenever someone picked her up, still sweet too, jellybean that is her name. They both are extremely fat now😂 and flubby is 2, baby (as we call the calico) is almost a year old. Flubby so far is spending alotof time in the basement because we have other cats in our home, she gets bullied by them sometimes, but she comss up time to time and every time she does i always hang out with her, a long time ago when she was a baby kitten every time i got home from school she would run over to me and start to purr and be happy. My calico is a sweetheart whenever pet and a few scratches but still a sweetie sometimes ❤
I had a cat named Luna. She was 5-7 months old and was paralyzed and had to be put down.. we tried to help her but we had to watch as she got worse… we didn’t want her to keep suffering so we did what any humane human would…
My cat is 15 years old, his name is Tiger, and my family had him before he could even open his eyes. He doesn't have much time left as he suffers from severe kidney failure and is slowly dying. After I listened to this song I went over to him, pet him down, with him nuzzling into my chin then he ran over to his pack of treats and begged for some.

I found my kitty in a bush, yelling her little heart out after being separated from her family after a storm. We didn’t originally plan to keep her since we already had three cats, but we took her home and began looking for someone who could take her. It had been about a week when she crawled up onto my bed and began to knead me and suckle on my blanket. I guess she decided I was her momma and truly… who was _I_ to separate her from her momma again? She’s gonna be my sweet little beastie for the rest of her life.
Awww I found one of my first cats in a bush separated from her family too My grandpa was out gardening and he nearly sprayed her with the hose but he saw her just in time! She had little white paws so I named her Mittens She was incredibly sick so no one thought she'd make it but I was with her 24/7 and she pulled through. She's the smallest cat I've ever seen but she's still here 💜
two of my cats were strays one was found near a dumpster by my aunt, the second was abandoned by her owners, and we also had a third kitty who was the runt of the litter but grew up and got real big, sadly the one that was the runt and the one my aunt found passed away a few years ago so now we're down to one but it's heartwarming stories like stories like yours that make me glad I even had my cats

Maybe it was just me, but something about this song doubled with the animation hit me so hard I started bawling. It's something so soft, so warm, so loving and real I couldn't even fathom the emotions that exploded in my chest. I lost my cat, one of my youngest therapy animals, Shy, to cancer just last week. I haven't been able to process my emotions over her passing for awhile, but this song really helped.

I also had a cat that always makes me feel better when am sad she was 4 mouths but she stayed with us almost 2 months and my cousin asked me if she can keep the kitten so I was okay with that and i used to visit them every two weeks but one day the cat got sick because she ate a raw meat my cousin quickly got her to the vet until now we don’t know nothing about the kitty but the vet said that there is no medicine for her sickness so she’s in between death and life when I heard that my heart just shattered I couldn’t hold it and teared up i pray for her every day hope she’ll get better life 😢🧡
I started to full on cry when I saw the little tuxedo kitten. My cat Sylvester passed away September 14, 2021 and it still hurts. He was my only comfort and losing him felt like having my heart ripped out of my chest. Thank you for this beautiful animation.

I feel you my tuxedo just came out of my closet like 5 yrs ago I had just taken here to vet as she wasn’t eating or drinking much and seemed to sleep longer they did test on Thursday by Saturday she came stumbling from her fav sleep/hide spot in my bedroom foaming at mouth within like 20 secs ( the longest in my life ) she passed away( July 2019) but I thankfully i had her big sister to share my sadness and give the extra love I had to until she passed away after 21yrs in her sleep I adopted another little girl recently as I still had lots of love to give and really missed having kitty and I know my other girls were up there helping me to choose one that needed love as this little one mom got run over while carrying her across to wherever she had taken the other kittens
Oh my goodness! I had a tuxedo cat named Sylvester growing up! Maybe Sylvester is just going through his nine lives making our lives better as he goes.
We had a black and white cat called Sylvester and he was the absolute best 😢 He made me into the crazy cat person I am now 😂 Unfortunately we lost him three years ago tomorrow (8.12.2020) because of Feline Aortic Thromboembolism. He'll always have a special place in our hearts! ❤
My cat shockingly doesn't like laps much, but he'll still knead anything available when he sees me. Sometimes even the air when he's laying on his back. When he was a kitten, he used to do it while standing up, even on the hard floor. I'd call it his 'tap dancing.' He still taps occasionally, but not as much now. He's a sweet boy all the same.

I lost my girl Kitty 3 months ago to a stroke. Had her my whole life up until then. She was the sweetest, most loving little black cat. I needed her more than she'll ever know. Got me through the worst moments of my life. This made me start bawling. I miss that sweet little miscreant.

I got this afted i saved my grandmas little ginger kitten that was stuck in our car. Really thought he was dead.. maybe if he was in there for one more day. After that i gave him a bath and we snuggled for a long time. He was making biscuits on my thigh and purring like an AC all day. Hes so precious i love him. I had to return him to my grandmas and his mom and sister ran up to him and played with him. *I love you little boy.*
This was barely more than a minute and left me bawling like a baby. My cat died in January. I got her when I was a kid and was part of my life for almost 17 years. She never left my side when I was at home. This made me realize how much I miss her, once more. Thank you, it's truely beautiful.

Awe. I knew that bittersweet tears would spill as I watched this. My 15yr old precious soul of a kitty is nearing that time when every moment is extra treasured. I hope she has a few good months. I'm just making sure her every day is filled with love, kisses, pettings, brushings, slow eye blinks, her head butts to my face and under my chin, and all things that make her knead those precious paws of hers and purr. I got her when she was just 6-7 weeks old and what a darling kitten she was! Now she's a beautifully aged sweet and loving soul whose presence will be achingly missed ❤ I loved this sweet video. My cat passed away recently and this hit close to home for me, especially because the last cat colour was the same as mine. We found abandoned her on the street when she was a kitten, she spent the rest of her 16 years on the planet by my side, my best friend, my family. R.I.P Tinky

It really is, especially since this hit even harder for me since it reminded me of my first cat. He was a massive snugglebug and I had him since I was 3 months old, so practically most of my life. In 2020 we had to put him down as he was struggling, he had a massive lump of cancer on his jaw and above one of his eyes, as well as missing the left side of the row of his bottom teeth. Oh god I'm crying now
I have never cried harder to this song then now. Recently my kitten that barely turned 2 years old died due to a seizure while I tried to get my mom to drive me to the vet. @@yashuuu3559 im allergic, we have 2 cats, and im taking at least one with me when i move out. it does suck having a runny nose almost every day but allergies do desensitive over time and with a specific cat, so if you were to get a cat and be around it a lot your allergies wouldnt be as bad around it. theres also allergy meds. i take a 24 allergy pill
Did NOT expect to genuinely get emotional about this. After living my whole life never having had any pets and really loving cats, I got two kittens. They love to knead me.. (sometimes right on my bladder and i need to pee) I have a pretty tough home life and I'm still trying to deal with the trauma it gave me but both of my kittens are always there to cheer me up and remind me that I am deeply trusted by them and that I trust and love them just as much.
I just LAUGHED so hard when you say they knead you on the bladder when you want to pee 😂😂😂😂 I have a pet and have the same problem they will sit on my bladder (a dog)

this reminds me of the kitten I found at the side of the road and he won't stop kneading on me when i took him home. his purr is so loud and his little sharp claws hurt me but I didn't make him stop kneading. (his nails can't scratch my skin but the repeated kneading at the same spot irritated my skin a little). he's such a sweet cat, years later he still kneads and purrs loud. we needed each other.
This is such a tear jerking video, and I never thought I'll come back to it as someone that is now involved into a cat parenting myself. Just about three weeks ago my parents and me heard a kitten stuck into engine of our neighbor's car, which was followed by her escaping into our yard when the neighbor came to check the engine. We weren't really prepared for a pet at the moment, as we're in the middle of clean ups and renovations, but we didn't want to let her go into the danger again, so long story short, after figuring all the shelters are overfilled and there are no relatives or neighbors willing to take her for various reasons, we ended up letting her stay. At first she was extremely timid and hid wherever she could, but after a week of teaching her various games using whatever things we had merely qualifying as cat toys, and giving her her own small safe space with food, toilet (that's where our long gone hamsters' leftover bowls and cage bottom really came to use) and freedom to sleep wherever she pleases, she started showing up to us, and she not only allows us all to pet her, she begs for that affection and loves being massaged to her sleep after an intense session of "hunting". The slight changes in her appearance are noticeable too, her black fluffy fur changed from scruffy and full of rubbish particles to smooth and shiny, those tiny scared button eyes became wide, curious and with an attitude, and the unusual loud cry for help from the first day changed to normal quiet meows, long purring and playful mrrows. Naturally, only few days in we also raided half of the cat care section in a local department store, so she got everything special for her, including some new toys, although she still loves the makeshift ones too. Not gonna lie, when I figured my parents fell in love with the kitten and expressed their intentions of keeping her as a pet, I kinda freaked out as I wasn't sure if we're capable of taking care of her, parents having pretty demanding jobs and me having 0 experience, but it turned out that taking care of a cat is actually simpler than it looks, especially when our kitten is already quite independent for being only probably a couple of months old, and observing all her seriousness, goofiness and cuteness and feeling her silky fur feels totally worth it.

I found my cat that I own now, Zozi, in my barn one day. She was malnourished, dirty, pregnant, and as soon as she knew we lived right next to the barn, she did everything to get our attention. She was the sweetest, most neediest cat ever. She'd let you pet on her for hours, and if you'd stop she'd grab your arm with her little paw. We figured that someone threw her out because she was pregnant and didn't want to deal with the kittens, so I did everything to make sure she was ready to have them. She ended up having two beautiful little pure black female cats, just like her. We still have one of those kittens, now known as Sushi, but she's a bigger cat now though still small, just over a year old. The other cat, Maple, is living with my aunt. They're all very happy and spoiled now, especially Zozi. After we took her in and she started cleaning herself, she puffed up. Turns out she was a big old fluffy Persian cat, we just couldn't tell behind the grime. Oh, and Zozi's chubby now hehe, but we're helping her lose the weight.
I lost my cat Lily two years ago now, March 8th. She was my best friend and always would jump onto my bed and knead my legs under the blanket, then circle around and lay with me. This song and the animation makes me feel like she’s here with me again and I’m crying so much.

I’m so sorry, my two cats disappeared two years ago, and I miss them so much. But last year I got two new cats and they are doing great, they are our 6 and 7th cats in the last few years, and I miss every cat before them so much. Sadly, only one of them got to stay with us for more than a few years (except the ones we have now)
I played this song while I was feeding an abandoned and abused cat. One day, he showed up on my doorstep bloody and with a hole in his leg. I rushed him to the emergency Vet near me. i've caught an infection and needed to return to the town. when we got back to the grandparents house, i've found my cat under peony and jasmine bushes with rotting face, mangy fur and myriad of flies. he was poisoned because of many local stray cats. he should've lived for another ten years. it's been almost a week since. my relatives have already replaced him with some silly kitten. i still cry at nights. miss him so much. i can't even imagine how horrible it is for those who saw their pet slowly die. i'm so sorry for you
This genuinely made me tear up. The song is so heartfelt and it being about a cats love for their person is so emotional as someone who's grown up with many cats. Their comfort is so special, so gentle and sweet and loving. Sharing your warmth with them as they curl up on your lap, filling the peaceful quiet with a content purr. I've loved and lost so many fur babies, the thought of sharing one last cuddle with them always breaks me. I'll always wish for more time with them, especially when they leave so soon and unfairly. The bond and relationship between a person and an animal is unlike any other. Even if they can't communicate in words we understand, they make it known they love us.

I recently lost my cat this may, I still miss him. I wake up every day hopping to see him still. Ditto. Didn't even want my cat at first, couldn't bare to see her in the abusive situation she was in though so I adopted her. Thought 'nice I got a chill roommate now who can warm my bed for me' - 3 month later she's staring at me with those big loving eyes, kneading my chest and something in me just knew I would die for her if it meant she could live a happy life forever. I try my best to not think about how one day she'll leave me by thinking about how I try and make every day, the best day it can be for her

This song always makes me cry- I had a cat, named Cheyenne, who passed away at 3 years. She used to knead me as fell asleep, and I miss her so much. She was very special to me, and my grief for her will never leave entirely. She will forever hold a place in my heart. Rest in peace Cheyenne, you will forever be missed and I hope you are safe and well in heaven. For those of you also mourning the loss of a pet, my heart goes out to you. This song reminds me so much of a kitten I tried to rescue named Smink. I found him abandoned in a box, wailing while trying to snuggle against the cold, stiff bodies of his siblings. He was shivering, only three weeks old at the time and desperately hungry. I brought him in and did my best to save him, but he passed away four days later from a bacterial infection. He died snuggled against my chest, clinging to my neck as he purred his last. I cry every time I listen to this song, both from guilt that I wasn't able to save him and relief that at least he passed away knowing that he was loved. Rest in peace Smink, you were too young to die and I wish I could've done more to save you. Edit: Thank you everyone who showed condolences to my baby Sminker. I don't think I can rescue another cat after this, but I'm just grateful that he's now resting in peace. May the cosmos have mercy on his soul.
One of my cat’s sibling died after a few days out of the womb due to a common feline illness The previous cats I had before the 3 cats I have now also died in an apartment fire, they were only one year olds. Sock and Nugget, you are greatly missed.
I lost both my kitties from the same litter literally only a few months apart - this had me bawling. They were around 15 years old and they helped me through so many panic attacks. They never got mad at me for crying all night or anything, they were so gentle, and it's been so hard without them. I was the one that made the decision to put them down. I honestly think this black cat that comes by my house is them checking up on me

my condolences, losing them most have been horrible. Take your time to grieve, but eventually move on and if you can, maybe let a new kitty into your heart. It's not about replacing them, but I'm sure they'd want you to have a new companion that is watching over you.
Even adult cats still knead, and it mostly means that they remember their kittenhood. And if they do it on you it means that they remind you of their mother.

This makes me appreciate my cats so much more. My dog passed away about a month ago, and I’ve been struggling without him. When he passed away, I sat there next to his body, bawling my eyes out knowing my first pet, and one of my best friends, was dead. My one cat, Max, came over and sat a little ways away, staring at his friends lifeless body. Starsky-my dog- and Max, were very close friends. Star was only two years older than him, deceased at the age of eight. Max was very sad that he was gone, and came to me for comfort. When I noticed him sitting there staring at Star, I told him it was ok, and he could come closer. And he did just that. He came over and sat beside me, with so much pain in his eyes. It was truly wonderful... My other cat Sam has been helping me too. Star used to come upstairs with me and sleep in my bed at night. Though he was a massive German Shepherd, I still let him cuddle up beside me. The last two years of Star’s life, he’s gotten arthritis, and wasn’t able to get up on the bed anymore. And within the last month, he couldn’t even go up the stairs. At bed time now, Sam sleeps with me. I’ll tell him it’s time to go to bed, and he’ll run up the stairs, and we for me to finish getting ready, sitting on my bed. I turn the lights off, and he’ll curl up in the curve of my body, giving me comfort still having that soft fur against my skin. I love my cats so much....

I had a one eyed cat too... he died about a month ago sorry for your loss i know It is hard. I am baling my eyes out. Because originally we thought my cat was missing and alive then one day I was looking for my stylist under my bed and felt something furry I pulled it and found my cat. It turns out he was decomposing under my bed for a month. We found his body 5 days ago.
My rottweiler nigel passed away last year. We'd had him for about a year when I got my cat, Autumn. The two of them bonded and became very attached to one another. When Nigel was put down, Autumn kept wandering around the house and letting out these long, heart-breaking meows, like she was searching for Nigel. When I told her that he was dead, she jumped into my arms and pressed her face into me. She was basically attached to me for weeks afterwards, like she was scared that I would leave, just like Nigel. As I'm typing this, she's curled up among my laundry. She still panics if I leave her sight for more than a few seconds, so she even follows me into the bathroom.
I also cried listening to this song. During the height of the pandemic I volunteered at an animal shelter to foster newborn litters of kittens. I raise a few litters, and it was amazing watching them grow up from tiny little 2-day old babies, to 3 months old and ready to go to their new home. I was basically a mom lol, fed them every two hours even in the middle of the night. I would get litters of 4-5 kittens. I only lost one baby, but it was because he was sick at a week old, rushed him to the vet but he passed away the next evening, the vet called it fading kitten syndrome, I got the call he passed and I sobbed for a good week. The last littered I raised, the day I took them to their new homes I went back to my own, realizing how quite and lonely it was, and I cried soooooo much. I would absolutely do it again. It was such a beautiful experience, and this song reminds me of my foster babies and the time I had with them.
As a fellow foster for my local shelter, I cannot tell you how appreciative I am for you having helped so many kittens. It's the most rewarding experience, I think.
This reminds me of my childhood cat. Ziggy would knead me all the time when I'd try to go to bed. It was the sweetest thing. But sadly, he passed away in November 2020 at the age of 11. I miss his odd little ways every day. He was the BEST boy! On the bright side, I adopted a kitten a few months ago, and they like to knead and stay on my bed to sleep next to me too. I have to say, my new little guy has patched my heart up half-way. :)

for me i interpreted at the end when it says "i need you" instead of "knead" it really puts into perspective how our cats and animals really do rely and need us for absolutely everything, their food, water-- a safe and warm place to sleep, and it also shows that we love and care for them so dearly, that the love we give is reciprocated with their cute purrs and kneading. they're adorable creatures that can't fend for themselves against us and we need to pour our heart into loving and caring for them, being responsible for them and giving them the happiest lives possible while they're in our care ❤️ that's the feeling that your adorable animation and the song gave me, i can't help but just absolutely adore this ive been having a hard time lately so thank you, this made me smile 💕

@@loveSUFFERlearn Had to put down our first cat at 14 because of kidney failure (I was 17 and basically knew him all my life). He didn't leave our side for those last couple of weeks. After a while, the realization that you're doing the right thing will soothe the guilt. The effects of time and age are not your fault, and those effects cannot be reversed. You did nothing wrong.
Holy crap. I couldn't make it halfway through before I just completely broke down sobbing. My baby passed away a few months ago and my heart aches without him. I had a Bengal and while they're known for being loving he was a level above. His favorite thing was to lay on the pillow next to me so he could look into my eyes when I woke up. He would snuggle into the crock of my neck and purr like a motor. When I left the house he'd meow at the door for me to come back and when I finally did he yelled until he got his kisses. I lost him at only 3 and I can't say how much this song reminded me of him. Thank you so much
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry for your loss. I have a 17 year old Bengal that I got when she was 13. Her favourite thing in the world is to sleep in my arms and I wake up to her nose pressed to my nose. She also loves kneading blankets but I have to look into her eyes when she does it or she will yell at me. She isn't doing too well right now and my heart aches thinking that I might be losing her soon. They take such a big place in your heart, leaving a void when they go.

This is making me cry!! My cat passed away a couple of weeks ago, and he’d always knead (or in my family, “make biscuits”), and it was sweet. In his first couple of years, he’d never purr, which was so weird to us. Then, he’d start to make these weird little grunting noises (kind of like a meow but silent), and it was his way of saying “I love you.” He learned to purr finally, and we were so happy. In his last month of life, he would curl up next to me on our couch and just…lay there and sleep. He was a pretty cool cat, and he wasn’t a lap cat. However, he loved to snuggle on bed. He was only 4 years old, and it was about a week away from his birthday. Anyways, just wanted to tell you my story. And yes, my dog Daisy has been kind of like an emotional support animal lol. Me and her have gotten so much closer, to where when I get home from school (after she gets let outside to use the bathroom), she’ll run up to the gate and run in the front yard with me. We’re looking to get two cats (preferably 5 months old), and we’re hoping she’ll love them (once we get them of course). I didn't realize how much i loved that cat and how much he loved me until now. I just burst into tears, and now i'm in bed getting ready to sleep, with a huge load of stress off my back. I started to cry immediately, because this is so beautiful and I miss my cats so much. My orange cat passed away 3 september 2021 (born october 2009), and then my other cat (his mother) passed away 29 april 2022 (born 2007). His passing was so sudden, it left me depressed for months, and I could see how the lack of his presence was also affecting my other cat, she missed him too. They did not nap together, and would hiss at each other from time to time, but that did not mean they did not appreciate one another. She changed so much after he was gone, it was sad to see. Having to lose both of them in such a short time has been hard. But now I think of them often, about what they have taught me in life, and I miss them so much. I have made a little shrine in their memory.

I’ve pulled over twice to pick up kittens on the side of the road that had been hit by passing cars. One of them died in my arms. This is such a sweet song and it breaks my heart thinking of what they could have had, but never experienced. Please remember to spay/neuter your kitties and always adopt, never shop! In 2018, I found my kitty when he was a scared, feral kitten that was abandoned by his mom. (She was never around for MONTHS. It was so sad) He would frequently seek shelter by himself under my grandparents house. My grandfather adored him, and fed him every day and sat outside and spoke with him for hours. He introduced me to him. He wouldn't come near either of us, but we were okay with that. We just knew he was safe and fed. My grandpa began having a hard time going out and talking to him, though he'd always feed him daily. So I'd frequently visit them, and sit outside just as my grandpa did and talk to him. One thanksgiving, I had made him a little plate after searching safe foods for kitties to eat. It was the first time he approached me and let me touch him. December came, and a snow storm was coming- my mental health had rapidly deteriorated at that time but I consistently sat outside with him. Once I found out there was going to be a snowstorm, I couldn't let him be caught in it. We got a trap from the local vet, and got him inside to feed him and keep him warm. He was so scared, and it broke my heart- and I sang "You are my sunshine" to him and he immediately began to calm down and even ate. Something told me he was my kitty soul mate. He became bonded to me, very attached. Every night he lays on me while I sleep, purring. Every morning, he runs up to me- meowing and rubbing against me and standing on his hind legs for me to pet him. When I have panic attacks, he's running to me to give me affection before I even know it's coming. In a way, we saved each other. I saved him from freezing and starving in a snow storm all alone, and he saved me from myself. My grandfather died in January this year, and I still am so grateful he took his time to care for Honey. I'm grateful that he introduced me to my baby, and helped me find a reason to live again. When the tuxedo kitty showed at the end where she says "I need you", my sobbing picked up the pace

I adopted a 6 month old kitten in almost end of March, she’s so sweet. Absolutely the gentlest cat I’ve ever met. She’s so careful not to scratch me or anything. She follows me around meowing non stop if I don’t say good morning to her she fell asleep on my stomach about an hour ago 🥺💕 And she’s scared of blueberries

I am so scared of losing my cat because I have had her for forever and she is the most important thing to me in the entire world. She is always there ready to purr and cuddle and comfort me when needed. She was found as a stray with a litter of kittens and was originally so vicious that the vet was going to put her down because no one would take her, but she liked me, so my mom let us take her home. I couldn’t imagine living without her but I know I will have to at some point, seeing as she is around 11-ish and had some medical issues that we luckily were able to clear up. I had a cat who i felt the same way about. We got him when he was ten, had him for 7.5 years. He meant everything to me, and when he died a feel a piece of me went with him. At first it was very hard, but over time it got better. Boo (my cats name) was like a brother to me, he would ALWAYS BE ON MY FACE BEING READY TO CUDDLE! haha! Boo had bad arthritis, since we got him, he had to have tail surgery around the middle, and had a skin problem too. He survived it all, and the arthritis didnt kill him. Boo died of old age, 17.5 years. We never thought he would live so long, but he did. I wish your cat the best and that they live a very long time coming. Give your cat a hug for me! 💖😂🤗 Ps. Dont be afraid for her passing. Be greatful for every second you have 🥺😊
im the same way, i have a cat who's 15 and he's been with me since i was a little kid (im 18 lol). he's always had medical problems, nothing super serious but enough to keep us on our toes-- his appetite comes and goes at random, he'll sometimes rip out his fur and bite the skin till it bleeds, and we're pretty sure he's gone senile since he's constantly forgetting where his dish is. he was never super cuddly, if anything he prefers being left alone, but i still love him to death and i kinda feel bad not giving him attention-- i have another, much younger cat who's very protective of me and will attack him on sight, so we have to keep them separated at all times. i know he doesn't really care, if anything he's enjoying his alone time, but i wanna be able to cherish the time i have left with him. his name is popoki, which is hawaiian for "cat," bc i was in kindergarten at the time and was reading a book abt a cat that looked like him with the same name.

The only thing I can tell you is to love EVERY minute you have with her. When you love something so much, that loves you so unconditionally, it’s a such a hard thing to lose and, I wish the heartbreak would let up, but I just keep hurting 😞🥺 Take lots of pictures and videos. We recently adopted Our little George, and dsespite some initial hangups, I think he realises that we're going to stick around, and look after his tiny fluffy bonce. My cat isnt dead (probably is tho) but she isan outdoor cat. She was a black cat and had eye problems, she loved being pet but hated being picked up. She normally stays near the house whenshe gets out and brings us little birds. One day we let her outside, normally when we let her out she comes back an hour or less later but she was gone for 2 days and i couldn't sleep. Because she would sleep with me every night, thats when we sent out signs and stuff, its been 3 years now though. Back in 2022 i got another cat, jerald dean bean, normally called flubby. She was a fat lil kitten,grey and white. She was super sweet and would always nibble kn your fingers, only a year later i got ANOTHER cat! She was a calico and feisty but loved pets,she didnt like being picked up and always fought back whenever someone picked her up, still sweet too, jellybean that is her name. They both are extremely fat now😂 and flubby is 2, baby (as we call the calico) is almost a year old. Flubby so far is spending alotof time in the basement because we have other cats in our home, she gets bullied by them sometimes, but she comss up time to time and every time she does i always hang out with her, a long time ago when she was a baby kitten every time i got home from school she would run over to me and start to purr and be happy. My calico is a sweetheart whenever pet and a few scratches but still a sweetie sometimes ❤

I had a cat named Luna. She was 5-7 months old and was paralyzed and had to be put down.. we tried to help her but we had to watch as she got worse… we didn’t want her to keep suffering so we did what any humane human would…
My cat is 15 years old, his name is Tiger, and my family had him before he could even open his eyes. He doesn't have much time left as he suffers from severe kidney failure and is slowly dying. I had a cat since I was 2. She died when I was 22. She was my baby.
I found my kitty in a bush, yelling her little heart out after being separated from her family after a storm. We didn’t originally plan to keep her since we already had three cats, but we took her home and began looking for someone who could take her. It had been about a week when she crawled up onto my bed and began to knead me and suckle on my blanket. I guess she decided I was her momma and truly… who was _I_ to separate her from her momma again? She’s gonna be my sweet little beastie for the rest of her life.

My grandpa was out gardening and he nearly sprayed her with the hose but he saw her just in time! She had little white paws so I named her Mittens
She was incredibly sick so no one thought she'd make it but I was with her 24/7 and she pulled through. She's the smallest cat I've ever seen but she's still here 💜

Maybe it was just me, but something about this song doubled with the animation hit me so hard I started bawling. It's something so soft, so warm, so loving and real I couldn't even fathom the emotions that exploded in my chest. I lost my cat, one of my youngest therapy animals, Shy, to cancer just last week. I haven't been able to process my emotions over her passing for awhile, but this song really helped.

I also had a cat that always makes me feel better when am sad she was 4 mouths but she stayed with us almost 2 months and my cousin asked me if she can keep the kitten so I was okay with that and i used to visit them every two weeks but one day the cat got sick because she ate a raw meat my cousin quickly got her to the vet until now we don’t know nothing about the kitty but the vet said that there is no medicine for her sickness so she’s in between death and life when I heard that my heart just shattered I couldn’t hold it and teared up i pray for her every day hope she’ll get better life 😢🧡
I started to full on cry when I saw the little tuxedo kitten. My cat Sylvester passed away September 14, 2021 and it still hurts. He was my only comfort and losing him felt like having my heart ripped out of my chest. Thank you for this beautiful animation.

I feel you my tuxedo just came out of my closet like 5 yrs ago I had just taken here to vet as she wasn’t eating or drinking much and seemed to sleep longer they did test on Thursday by Saturday she came stumbling from her fav sleep/hide spot in my bedroom foaming at mouth within like 20 secs ( the longest in my life ) she passed away( July 2019) but I thankfully i had her big sister to share my sadness and give the extra love I had to until she passed away after 21yrs in her sleep I adopted another little girl recently as I still had lots of love to give and really missed having kitty and I know my other girls were up there helping me to choose one that needed love as this little one mom got run over while carrying her across to wherever she had taken the other kittens

We had a black and white cat called Sylvester and he was the absolute best 😢 He made me into the crazy cat person I am now 😂 Unfortunately we lost him three years ago tomorrow (8.12.2020) because of Feline Aortic Thromboembolism. He'll always have a special place in our hearts! ❤
My cat shockingly doesn't like laps much, but he'll still knead anything available when he sees me. Sometimes even the air when he's laying on his back. When he was a kitten, he used to do it while standing up, even on the hard floor. I'd call it his 'tap dancing.' He still taps occasionally, but not as much now. He's a sweet boy all the same.

I got this afted i saved my grandmas little ginger kitten that was stuck in our car. Really thought he was dead.. maybe if he was in there for one more day. After that i gave him a bath and we snuggled for a long time. He was making biscuits on my thigh and purring like an AC all day. Hes so precious i love him. I had to return him to my grandmas and his mom and sister ran up to him and played with him.

Awe. I knew that bittersweet tears would spill as I watched this. My 15yr old precious soul of a kitty is nearing that time when every moment is extra treasured. I hope she has a few good months. I'm just making sure her every day is filled with love, kisses, pettings, brushings, slow eye blinks, her head butts to my face and under my chin, and all things that make her knead those precious paws of hers and purr. I got her when she was just 6-7 weeks old and what a darling kitten she was! Now she's a beautifully aged sweet and loving soul whose presence will be achingly missed ❤

It really is, especially since this hit even harder for me since it reminded me of my first cat. He was a massive snugglebug and I had him since I was 3 months old, so practically most of my life. In 2020 we had to put him down as he was struggling, he had a massive lump of cancer on his jaw and above one of his eyes, as well as missing the left side of the row of his bottom teeth.

Did NOT expect to genuinely get emotional about this. After living my whole life never having had any pets and really loving cats, I got two kittens. They love to knead me.. (sometimes right on my bladder and i need to pee) I have a pretty tough home life and I'm still trying to deal with the trauma it gave me but both of my kittens are always there to cheer me up and remind me that I am deeply trusted by them and that I trust and love them just as much.

this reminds me of the kitten I found at the side of the road and he won't stop kneading on me when i took him home. his purr is so loud and his little sharp claws hurt me but I didn't make him stop kneading. (his nails can't scratch my skin but the repeated kneading at the same spot irritated my skin a little). he's such a sweet cat, years later he still kneads and purrs loud. we needed each other.

This is such a tear jerking video, and I never thought I'll come back to it as someone that is now involved into a cat parenting myself. Just about three weeks ago my parents and me heard a kitten stuck into engine of our neighbor's car, which was followed by her escaping into our yard when the neighbor came to check the engine. We weren't really prepared for a pet at the moment, as we're in the middle of clean ups and renovations, but we didn't want to let her go into the danger again, so long story short, after figuring all the shelters are overfilled and there are no relatives or neighbors willing to take her for various reasons, we ended up letting her stay. At first she was extremely timid and hid wherever she could, but after a week of teaching her various games using whatever things we had merely qualifying as cat toys, and giving her her own small safe space with food, toilet (that's where our long gone hamsters' leftover bowls and cage bottom really came to use) and freedom to sleep wherever she pleases, she started showing up to us, and she not only allows us all to pet her, she begs for that affection and loves being massaged to her sleep after an intense session of "hunting". The slight changes in her appearance are noticeable too, her black fluffy fur changed from scruffy and full of rubbish particles to smooth and shiny, those tiny scared button eyes became wide, curious and with an attitude, and the unusual loud cry for help from the first day changed to normal quiet meows, long purring and playful mrrows. Naturally, only few days in we also raided half of the cat care section in a local department store, so she got everything special for her, including some new toys, although she still loves the makeshift ones too. Not gonna lie, when I figured my parents fell in love with the kitten and expressed their intentions of keeping her as a pet, I kinda freaked out as I wasn't sure if we're capable of taking care of her, parents having pretty demanding jobs and me having 0 experience, but it turned out that taking care of a cat is actually simpler than it looks, especially when our kitten is already quite independent for being only probably a couple of months old, and observing all her seriousness, goofiness and cuteness and feeling her silky fur feels totally worth it.

Hey bro, you ok? it has been 1 year.
I found my cat that I own now, Zozi, in my barn one day. She was malnourished, dirty, pregnant, and as soon as she knew we lived right next to the barn, she did everything to get our attention. She was the sweetest, most neediest cat ever. She'd let you pet on her for hours, and if you'd stop she'd grab your arm with her little paw. We figured that someone threw her out because she was pregnant and didn't want to deal with the kittens, so I did everything to make sure she was ready to have them. She ended up having two beautiful little pure black female cats, just like her. We still have one of those kittens, now known as Sushi, but she's a bigger cat now though still small, just over a year old. The other cat, Maple, is living with my aunt. They're all very happy and spoiled now, especially Zozi. After we took her in and she started cleaning herself, she puffed up. Turns out she was a big old fluffy Persian cat, we just couldn't tell behind the grime.
Oh, and Zozi's chubby now hehe, but we're helping her lose the weight.

But last year I got two new cats and they are doing great, they are our 6 and 7th cats in the last few years, and I miss every cat before them so much. i've caught an infection and needed to return to the town. when we got back to the grandparents house, i've found my cat under peony and jasmine bushes with rotting face, mangy fur and myriad of flies. he was poisoned because of many local stray cats. he should've lived for another ten years. it's been almost a week since. my relatives have already replaced him with some silly kitten. i still cry at nights. miss him so much. i can't even imagine how horrible it is for those who saw their pet slowly die. i'm so sorry for you

This genuinely made me tear up. The song is so heartfelt and it being about a cats love for their person is so emotional as someone who's grown up with many cats. Their comfort is so special, so gentle and sweet and loving. Sharing your warmth with them as they curl up on your lap, filling the peaceful quiet with a content purr. I've loved and lost so many fur babies, the thought of sharing one last cuddle with them always breaks me. I'll always wish for more time with them, especially when they leave so soon and unfairly. The bond and relationship between a person and an animal is unlike any other. Even if they can't communicate in words we understand, they make it known they love us.

This song reminds me so much of a kitten I tried to rescue named Smink.
I found him abandoned in a box, wailing while trying to snuggle against the cold, stiff bodies of his siblings. He was shivering, only three weeks old at the time and desperately hungry.
I brought him in and did my best to save him, but he passed away four days later from a bacterial infection. He died snuggled against my chest, clinging to my neck as he purred his last. I cry every time I listen to this song, both from guilt that I wasn't able to save him and relief that at least he passed away knowing that he was loved.
Rest in peace Smink, you were too young to die and I wish I could've done more to save you.
Edit: Thank you everyone who showed condolences to my baby Sminker. I don't think I can rescue another cat after this, but I'm just grateful that he's now resting in peace. May the cosmos have mercy on his soul.

my condolences, losing them most have been horrible. Take your time to grieve, but eventually move on and if you can, maybe let a new kitty into your heart. It's not about replacing them, but I'm sure they'd want you to have a new companion that is watching over you.
Its really kind of amazing that we invoke such a reaction, its a expression of their comfort we bring them.
Even adult cats still knead, and it mostly means that they remember their kittenhood. And if they do it on you it means that they remind you of their mother.

This makes me appreciate my cats so much more. My dog passed away about a month ago, and I’ve been struggling without him. When he passed away, I sat there next to his body, bawling my eyes out knowing my first pet, and one of my best friends, was dead. My one cat, Max, came over and sat a little ways away, staring at his friends lifeless body. Starsky-my dog- and Max, were very close friends. Star was only two years older than him, deceased at the age of eight. Max was very sad that he was gone, and came to me for comfort. When I noticed him sitting there staring at Star, I told him it was ok, and he could come closer. And he did just that. He came over and sat beside me, with so much pain in his eyes. It was truly wonderful... My other cat Sam has been helping me too. Star used to come upstairs with me and sleep in my bed at night. Though he was a massive German Shepherd, I still let him cuddle up beside me. The last two years of Star’s life, he’s gotten arthritis, and wasn’t able to get up on the bed anymore. And within the last month, he couldn’t even go up the stairs. At bed time now, Sam sleeps with me. I’ll tell him it’s time to go to bed, and he’ll run up the stairs, and we for me to finish getting ready, sitting on my bed. I turn the lights off, and he’ll curl up in the curve of my body, giving me comfort still having that soft fur against my skin. I love my cats so much....

I had a one eyed cat too... he died about a month ago sorry for your loss i know It is hard. I am baling my eyes out. Because originally we thought my cat was missing and alive then one day I was looking for my stylist under my bed and felt something furry I pulled it and found my cat. It turns out he was decomposing under my bed for a month. We found his body 5 days ago.
My rottweiler nigel passed away last year. We'd had him for about a year when I got my cat, Autumn. The two of them bonded and became very attached to one another. When Nigel was put down, Autumn kept wandering around the house and letting out these long, heart-breaking meows, like she was searching for Nigel. When I told her that he was dead, she jumped into my arms and pressed her face into me. She was basically attached to me for weeks afterwards, like she was scared that I would leave, just like Nigel.
As I'm typing this, she's curled up among my laundry. She still panics if I leave her sight for more than a few seconds, so she even follows me into the bathroom.

I also cried listening to this song. During the height of the pandemic I volunteered at an animal shelter to foster newborn litters of kittens. I raise a few litters, and it was amazing watching them grow up from tiny little 2-day old babies, to 3 months old and ready to go to their new home. I was basically a mom lol, fed them every two hours even in the middle of the night. I would get litters of 4-5 kittens. I only lost one baby, but it was because he was sick at a week old, rushed him to the vet but he passed away the next evening, the vet called it fading kitten syndrome, I got the call he passed and I sobbed for a good week. The last littered I raised, the day I took them to their new homes I went back to my own, realizing how quite and lonely it was, and I cried soooooo much. I would absolutely do it again. It was such a beautiful experience, and this song reminds me of my foster babies and the time I had with them.

This reminds me of my childhood cat. Ziggy would knead me all the time when I'd try to go to bed. It was the sweetest thing. But sadly, he passed away in November 2020 at the age of 11. I miss his odd little ways every day. He was the BEST boy!
On the bright side, I adopted a kitten a few months ago, and they like to knead and stay on my bed to sleep next to me too. I have to say, my new little guy has patched my heart up half-way. :)

for me i interpreted at the end when it says "i need you" instead of "knead" it really puts into perspective how our cats and animals really do rely and need us for absolutely everything, their food, water-- a safe and warm place to sleep, and it also shows that we love and care for them so dearly, that the love we give is reciprocated with their cute purrs and kneading.
they're adorable creatures that can't fend for themselves against us and we need to pour our heart into loving and caring for them, being responsible for them and giving them the happiest lives possible while they're in our care ❤️

After a while, the realization that you're doing the right thing will soothe the guilt. The effects of time and age are not your fault, and those effects cannot be reversed.

Holy crap. I couldn't make it halfway through before I just completely broke down sobbing. My baby passed away a few months ago and my heart aches without him. I had a Bengal and while they're known for being loving he was a level above. His favorite thing was to lay on the pillow next to me so he could look into my eyes when I woke up. He would snuggle into the crock of my neck and purr like a motor. When I left the house he'd meow at the door for me to come back and when I finally did he yelled until he got his kisses. I lost him at only 3 and I can't say how much this song reminded me of him. Thank you so much
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry for your loss. I have a 17 year old Bengal that I got when she was 13. Her favourite thing in the world is to sleep in my arms and I wake up to her nose pressed to my nose. She also loves kneading blankets but I have to look into her eyes when she does it or she will yell at me.
She isn't doing too well right now and my heart aches thinking that I might be losing her soon. They take such a big place in your heart, leaving a void when they go.

My cat passed away a couple of weeks ago, and he’d always knead (or in my family, “make biscuits”), and it was sweet. In his first couple of years, he’d never purr, which was so weird to us. Then, he’d start to make these weird little grunting noises (kind of like a meow but silent), and it was his way of saying “I love you.” He learned to purr finally, and we were so happy. In his last month of life, he would curl up next to me on our couch and just…lay there and sleep. He was a pretty cool cat, and he wasn’t a lap cat. However, he loved to snuggle on bed. He was only 4 years old, and it was about a week away from his birthday. Anyways, just wanted to tell you my story. And yes, my dog Daisy has been kind of like an emotional support animal lol. Me and her have gotten so much closer, to where when I get home from school (after she gets let outside to use the bathroom), she’ll run up to the gate and run in the front yard with me. We’re looking to get two cats (preferably 5 months old), and we’re hoping she’ll love them (once we get them of course).

Edit 2: The kittens have arrived! Their names are Colby and Cypress, and they’re gonna make us go broke…Cypress keeps sneezing so we need to take him to the vet. We thought they had Coccidia, got them tested, and they came back negative. They’re just trying to make us lose money haha! Cypress is a black kitten, and he’s a male. He’s definitely a snuggler. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you again. Almost 2 years ago, my cat was put down, in my arms, as i watched as his purr slowly faded. I didn't realize how much i loved that cat and how much he loved me until now. I just burst into tears, and now i'm in bed getting ready to sleep, with a huge load of stress off my back. Sorry if this sounds like rambling, i just want log this somewhere and show my everlsating gratitude to the animator and Singer, and anyone else remotely involved in the making of this project.
I started to cry immediately, because this is so beautiful and I miss my cats so much.
My orange cat passed away 3 september 2021 (born october 2009), and then my other cat (his mother) passed away 29 april 2022 (born 2007). His passing was so sudden, it left me depressed for months, and I could see how the lack of his presence was also affecting my other cat, she missed him too. They did not nap together, and would hiss at each other from time to time, but that did not mean they did not appreciate one another. She changed so much after he was gone, it was sad to see. Having to lose both of them in such a short time has been hard. But now I think of them often, about what they have taught me in life, and I miss them so much. I have made a little shrine in their memory.

I’ve pulled over twice to pick up kittens on the side of the road that had been hit by passing cars. One of them died in my arms. This is such a sweet song and it breaks my heart thinking of what they could have had, but never experienced.

In 2018, I found my kitty when he was a scared, feral kitten that was abandoned by his mom. (She was never around for MONTHS. It was so sad)
He would frequently seek shelter by himself under my grandparents house. My grandfather adored him, and fed him every day and sat outside and spoke with him for hours. He introduced me to him. He wouldn't come near either of us, but we were okay with that. We just knew he was safe and fed.
My grandpa began having a hard time going out and talking to him, though he'd always feed him daily. So I'd frequently visit them, and sit outside just as my grandpa did and talk to him. One thanksgiving, I had made him a little plate after searching safe foods for kitties to eat. It was the first time he approached me and let me touch him. December came, and a snow storm was coming- my mental health had rapidly deteriorated at that time but I consistently sat outside with him. Once I found out there was going to be a snowstorm, I couldn't let him be caught in it. We got a trap from the local vet, and got him inside to feed him and keep him warm. He was so scared, and it broke my heart- and I sang "You are my sunshine" to him and he immediately began to calm down and even ate. Something told me he was my kitty soul mate. He became bonded to me, very attached. Every night he lays on me while I sleep, purring. Every morning, he runs up to me- meowing and rubbing against me and standing on his hind legs for me to pet him. When I have panic attacks, he's running to me to give me affection before I even know it's coming.
In a way, we saved each other. I saved him from freezing and starving in a snow storm all alone, and he saved me from myself.
My grandfather died in January this year, and I still am so grateful he took his time to care for Honey. I'm grateful that he introduced me to my baby, and helped me find a reason to live again. When the tuxedo kitty showed at the end where she says "I need you", my sobbing picked up the pace

I am so scared of losing my cat because I have had her for forever and she is the most important thing to me in the entire world. She is always there ready to purr and cuddle and comfort me when needed. She was found as a stray with a litter of kittens and was originally so vicious that the vet was going to put her down because no one would take her, but she liked me, so my mom let us take her home. I couldn’t imagine living without her but I know I will have to at some point, seeing as she is around 11-ish and had some medical issues that we luckily were able to clear up. This song brought all that love for her to the surface. Very sweet song, thank you!
I had a cat who i felt the same way about. We got him when he was ten, had him for 7.5 years. He meant everything to me, and when he died a feel a piece of me went with him.
At first it was very hard, but over time it got better. Boo (my cats name) was like a brother to me, he would ALWAYS BE ON MY FACE BEING READY TO CUDDLE! haha! Boo had bad arthritis, since we got him, he had to have tail surgery around the middle, and had a skin problem too. He survived it all, and the arthritis didnt kill him.
Boo died of old age, 17.5 years. We never thought he would live so long, but he did.

im the same way, i have a cat who's 15 and he's been with me since i was a little kid (im 18 lol). he's always had medical problems, nothing super serious but enough to keep us on our toes-- his appetite comes and goes at random, he'll sometimes rip out his fur and bite the skin till it bleeds, and we're pretty sure he's gone senile since he's constantly forgetting where his dish is. he was never super cuddly, if anything he prefers being left alone, but i still love him to death and i kinda feel bad not giving him attention-- i have another, much younger cat who's very protective of me and will attack him on sight, so we have to keep them separated at all times. i know he doesn't really care, if anything he's enjoying his alone time, but i wanna be able to cherish the time i have left with him.

The only thing I can tell you is to love EVERY minute you have with her. We recently adopted Our little George, and dsespite some initial hangups, I think he realises that we're going to stick around, and look after his tiny fluffy bonce.
