Leaking p-trap how to easy DIY
Is your old ptrap leaking or corroded? This is a simple $9.00 fix. In this video you will see how to remove the old chrome pipe that is a time bomb waiting to leak and install a new plastic p-trap that will look clean and last forever. This repair is a perfect job for a DIY'er looking to save money! I recommend ordering two bag ptraps from amazon to complete this repair, just to make sure you have all the plastic nuts you will need. Good luck with your project and let me know what other plumbing issues you have in your home.

I was not aware that not all P-trap joints require washers, which helped me fix a leak with new work (I am an amateur). Critiques I have for this video include marking measurements visually and chamfering the cut edges of pipes to ensure no debris gets caught in any joint. Otherwise, thanks for demonstrating!

Suppose it leaks at your small fitting. Can I use pipe dope?

Looking online for some "pipe dope" (4:50). Is pipe thread sealant the same thing?

P-Traps have been my home DIY headache for decades. Used metal back in the day and now plastic. I always had some kind of issue due to the ways plumbers would install as they would. Then years later when they need repair you discover the different ways your plumbing is screwed up. Try to get the same parts and good luck if you do.
