So all bears want is billion dollars from the state? Is that all Lou? we already have enough issues with property taxes but let’s keep raising taxes so we can build a stadium. This is all a ploy so the schools in Arlington would work with the bears. No way would this stadium ever be built on lake front.
One billion dollars is nothing within the state budget.
@@commonsense3921 its only taxpayer money.
@@commonsense3921They straight up said they could generate millions in taxes but want more than that?? Lmfao
@@robertcuny934 Yeah it's still nothing to the overall tax money.
@@commonsense3921😆
Where will the parking lot go? Longer walk now from the train stations. Terrible idea!
The shame in all of this is after the last remodel, Soldier Field was removed from the National Register Of Historical Places. So it’s lost its safety net to assure it can’t be demolished. If it is demolished to make room for a new stadium I’ll make sure to not set foot on the property. I cannot support that. I’ll stick to Green Bay and Detroit as a road games to see my Vikings play, and remove Chicago from the list.
Bye 👋
So you already tore down a historical property like Arlington and now your going to tear down even more history. Absolutely horrendous.
What was historic with Arlington Park?
And then it 30 years build another dome because the one they want to build now will be obsolete.
@@mrg8581never Chicago would get a super bowl every 7 to 10 years because of the city u dumb dumb
Most out-dated stadium in the USA comon now
@@KravinMoorehed Celebrities, royalty, etc. Its should be a historical reference for not only Illinois but USA in general. Secretariat raced there,John Henry and many many more. If you educate yourself on history you can learn to appreciate it more. But I guess it doesnt matter anymore because it was tore down in a flash of an eye. The memories can never be taken away.
Friends of the Park will completely detonate these plans.
tax payers will be paying for that stadium
T man you upgraded from Cleveland to Chicago congrats man
This
Is
A
Ploy
Yeah!!!! Chicago Bears fans would so Precipitate 👏👏👏👏
In the stadium would still be owned by the park district because the 1964 a law was passed that no private businesses can be on that part of the lakefront why do you think is no restaurants no, nothing down there the Bears need to go to Arlington Heights with They own everything screw the park district screws, Chicago
Arlington Heights just wanted the publicity.....They didn't want to pay the taxes and now are complaining that Da Bears are leaving.....🤣🤣🤣
Exactly. Once they needed to raise taxes to cover the subsidies they said no way Jose
Chicago doesn’t seem to be transparent on money being spent on migrants and who’s pocketing the money ?
There will be more green space because the stadium will have under ground parking covered by green space much like Millennium Park
Lou sounds biasedaf here. The Vikings dont even own the stadium, so how is that a good thing Kevin Warren did?
Build better schools, not stadiums.
The lakefront is a lousy place for a new stadium. Just look at the nightmare of traffic trying to get out of Soldier Field. And how about putting the tax increase measure on a ballot; let us voters decide if we want to dish out another billion (or more). Let the Bears move to Nebraska. I'm sick of financing stadiums for millionaires.
Don't forget White Sox want new stadium also. People should vote on that.
Why would you try to drive there? Sell season parking passes with season tickets for tailgating but train and bus are the way to get in/out. On second thought why would anyone go because " if you're white your a racist" is the offical position of the bears - F**k them go play in a empty lot on the southside
@@mrg8581 seems only recently the original Sox structure was replaced by an expensive new structure across from the site of the original.
Bears should move to St. Louis
It doesn’t matter what Friends of the Park does, this is just a negotiating tactic for a better deal in Arlington Heights.
i would like to think so, everyone wants more land for a stadium district, but it seems the lakefront plan is going in the other direction
is it just me but it just seems like the better idea is to turn soldier field into a 20-30k soccer specific mls stadium and have the bears go out to arlington
No
Tearing down Soldier Field would be a historical mistake.
Why not? Chicago could host a super bowl, plus soldier Field is outdated, the memories will remain but it's time to have a modern stadium,
@@ChiraqMaybach-ii9wmit’s still a historical mistake
Can't be historic if it's no longer a historical landmark
I'm sorry but no, it needs to be done. Soldier field is easily one of the most outdated and inferior stadiums throughout the NFL. Seating sucks, parking is a nightmare. Not able to host a super bowl. Needs to be done.
@@ChiraqMaybach-ii9wm It's too bad someone didn't think about this circa 2001. Before spending so much money on a huge renovation that not only ruined the historical aspect of Soldier Field, but also failed to make it a modern NFL facility.
The move to AH would be the best move for the team. Cook county jacked up the taxes on the AH property so the bears would be forced to stay in the city.
Plus’s AH didn’t have property taxes to fund the Bears in the first place
I'm a Chicago native and a Bears fan even I have to ask...what's wrong with Soldier Field the stadium The Bears have now?
Too small to host anything, outdated, can't be used for half of the year, need I say more?
Chicago native and Bears fan and you know nothing about Soldier Field? 😂😂
Outdated AF, can’t host a Super Bowl, can’t host concerts during winter, etc.
Too old
Screw the Bears.
All they want is a free handout from.the taxpayers as usual.
you do realize how much money they bring to the city right ? not just the game its self, but everything else.
@@TheChicagoLuxDriver but with all the crime whos gonna go and if you do protect your self you go to jail
@@cordel666giglesworth6 with that goofy statement, I know you don't have a clue about The Bears or Chicago. Those games are almost always sold out 🤦🏾♂️
White Sox too.
The City will own the new stadium.
If Mayor Johnson manages to get the Bears to stay in Chicago, that's a massive W for his tenure.
Lol he’s won nothing. They will be in AH
@@MrDuds1984in your dreams dumb dumb
how much tax payer money will be stolen and given to the Bears - 1 Billion?
These migrants are in the city why? As far as I'm concerned, him helping a billionaire doesn't mean shit
This will never happen.
Silly suburbanites
see ya Soldier Field its been real and it has be fun but not real fun. Chicago needs a new dome stadium get with the times. Arlington Heights overplayed their hand with all that tax money they wanted.
An AI data center will be built at the Arlington spot.
Unless AH builds nuclear powerplant not enough electricity for a data farm(farm your data for their profit)
It is only taxpayer money. 🤨
Arlington will suffer
I rather watch both the cubs and white soxs not the bears the bears suck
Arlington would be so much better
MOVE TO ARLINGTON PARK , ITS BETTER FOR CUSTOMERS
with all the crime whose gonna go
The same people who go today.
@@KravinMoorehed The liberal elites with money in their pockets and blinders on their heads.😆
We sell out every home games fucken dumb dumb
Nfl isn't gonna leave Chicago lol
ok so soldier field will be gone, and replace with park area ok. the new stadium will be put on the soldier field parking lot, where the hell is everyone going to park and tailgate ? im sure this new stadium will be at least 70k since this is chicago.
Parking garages in the area and buses xi to the park
@@williamerazo3921 from what i have herd it's a nightmare to getting in and out of there and train stations aren't too close, plus a new stadium could potentially be 80k seats. it should be chicago is the largest single team market. im sure area parking garages are quite the walk to the stadium as well, it is sorounded by a highway and a lake after all.
Fuqq nfl and da bears….i don’t buy 300 tix and 15 draft beers.
350 dollar jerseys too
It will generate millions in tax revenues , so give us a billion lmfao
