Better than taking it back to Winnipeg an charging her double transportation fee, seems to have been the most practical thing to do.

It could have been a lot worse: One time a tornado in Kansas lifted and carried a house to a mystical, faraway land where it fell on a wicked woman and caused a lot of trouble . . . . . At least nobody got hurt this time.

If they had dropped it on my farm I would've notified the sheriff. Possibly demanded rent from the shipper. A friend found a ford truck stuck in his cornfield. Tore up a few acres. He broke both windows, ran a chain around the cab and dragged it to the road sideways with his tractor. The dad of the kid called the cops for the destruction of the truck. Dad got a ticket and a bill for removal. Now the kids stay off his fields. Four wheeling in a farm field is a problem, it has to be worked to smooth out the ruts.

If that happened in America, it would've been tagged, broken into and vandalized, and left soaked in humand waste...then ticketed by the local kleptocracy as neglected...

Sask power should pay rent to the owner since they took it upon themselves to authorize it to be put there without permission! Only the owner can say what’s on his property not a utility.

Legally it's a free house. He could have had it placed somewhere else on his property. Instant in-law house, or home for farm workers. Lucky no teenagers turned it into a giant bon fire.

Patrick should charge a storage fee. The one responsible for paying would be the one who gave permission to put it there. As that person was not authorized to give such permission, the one who would have to pay would be the power company.
Play your cards right and you never have to pay for electricity again.

Prefabs are looking mighty nice these days. It looks pretty good plunked down where it is. Would have been nice if Mr Maze could sell off a chunk of that land, make a sub development and some money.
