those evos are no joke damn
I needed to brake boost or start in 3rd gear but 3rd spins. I asked him for a 70 roll he wouldn't do it.

I have an RS but from past experience back when i had a built block ST with GTX turbo back in 2014 i remember running street drag (changed them very 3 months) my ST was king of 40 mph rolls all in 2nd gear. Ill feather it to a perfect hook and jump everytime. Not sure if you running street drags but u definitely need them on all the time if not fwd is useless
Yea dont have street drags, just newer general tire gmax rs tires which are nice but not good enough to hook 3rd gear, if i could have started in 3rd it would of been a better race.

Ill never sell the st, i could beat that evo if i used 3rd gear but i need tires, this was the 1st race with the new setup so it was really a test.
are you running a turbo kit on that St ? What’s the size of your turbo
Yea, if you watched the shorts from when i built my own engine to current its all in order. I got a g35-900, his turbo on the evo was a hybrid which had quicker spool but not good top end, he started in 3rd i was in 4th and shifted to 5th and started gaining on him hard. He missed a shift on the 3rd run when i timed it better, he was scared to do a 70 roll.

No i got the big cpe intercooler, but the cvf one is all you need and its lighter.

You should have both been in 3rd. It would have leveled the playing field a lot. Evo sounded like it had way to much rpm on you
I need better tires, i spin in 3rd. Also gotta learn to brake boost. The fact i stayed with him in 4th in the 1st run and then started reeling him in 5th. If i can deadhook 3rd it would of been a better race too.

How does your 3rd go to 130? You got a 5 speed.
This is a 6 speed, 3rd maxes out at 100mph, 4th is 120 with 7500 rpm
Reason why the evo is letting go already is because 5th gear is an overdrive gear. The disadvantage of the evo x is having short gear ratios. The disadvantage for you is you can’t put your power to the ground because of FWD, obviously. His 4th gear tops out at around 110 so by the time he lets go in 5th gear, he’s probably at around 130-140mph. I have the same exact turbo he’s running on my evo except I have a built head only on 93 pump gas making 500whp. 570whp sounds right for his with e85. If I wanted to I can max out my turbo on e85 to around 650whp. But more importantly, he’s definitely not making anything over 600whp without upgraded cams, because stock evo x cams are only good for 600whp.
I was hoping for a 70 roll to get my turbo spooled up better, he spooled better at a 60 roll than me. I never brake boosted ever but if i knew how i would have stayed with him better for sure, 3rd gear i need tires for.
Honestly this guy doesn't show his mods and never wanted to pop his hood, i showed mine to others no problem. He probably has a built motor know one knows 💯

that’s also a pretty high roll for the evo x on stock final drive ratio. I think it should be close. Good races though man!
Yea it was my first race on the setup, i wanted to know where my car stood at, i didnt do bad for staying in 4th and going to 5th that 1st race, the 3rd run was a 60 and felt like i was timing it better but he missed a gear, it was a great race.

Yea the 2nd run was 3rd which spins, my 4th gear pulls but his just spooled better, obviously i need to learn to brake boost and better tires for 3rd.

Yea definitely man, i know I would have beat that evo otherwise my top end was pulling him hard in 5th gear, those evo just have short high accelerating low emd gears too.
Focus st needs head porting
I got a RS head it flows better , flow isn't the problem. I just needed to brake boost against this evo, this was the first race on this setup. Never had to brake boost but with higher hp Focus you need too.
Focus needs driver mod
No , just needed better tires for 3rd gear to hook. Also this was the 1st race on this new setup, that 3rd race he missed a gear so driver mod was needed for the evo. He wouldn't do a 70 roll because he knew it would be over.
Why not 3rd gear for the 60 roll in the focus?
I spin, i need better tires, they suck. I know i could of stayed with him otherwise.

Im messing around with my ride height, raised rear up higher and gonna have the front lower than rear by a inch to add grip and downforce.
@@WhiteblurrST that’s actually how my suspension is setup on my st. It made a noticeable difference, the car squats pretty good

Typical racer. Always letting off when other car is about to catch up. Then he doesn’t want to do a higher speed roll because he knows the ST won’t spin as much 😂😂😂
Yea i wanted him to do a 70 roll because i was starting in 4th gear and the turbo spool wasnt good at 60, he wouldn't do it. If i have tires to hook 3rd it would of looked different of course, i appreciate your support because its a true opinion. That 3rd race i was doing better and he missed a gear he knew it was or would be over, gotta remember also this was the 1st race on this setup i didnt know how well my turbo would spool and i didnt know brake boosting because i never had to use it.
He probably let off cause he's only got 5 gears..
Yea probably true, either way i was in 4th the whole time then shifted to 5th amd started catching him fast. If i had good tires for 3rd id had him on top of 4th gear.
