Just started taking the Milwaukee plunge, & got a few of these for work.
I’m a Diesel mechanic so I can either buy a bulky tool box that’s hard to maneuver around the shop vs get a few of the packout drawer boxes & build them up.
Have the tools I never need at the bottom with lid boxes, 2 rows of 3 drawer boxes of different desired depth, & be infinitely changeable. They make little wheels for the bottom of the boxes so I can put one box on wheels, & move it around.
The one problem I’ve ram into is that they don’t make one that’s over 4ft long for my longer stuff.
Then if I need my tools at home I can grab a few of them, & put them into my truck & bring them back on Monday.
Then if I decide to go to another shop I can break the boxes down, & not have to fight a giant metal box most guys spend thousands to purchase, & pay a tow truck to move for them.

@@ByronBuildsOfficialwhy not use the 3D printing to prototype and do test runs of new designs and once they start selling good then have them injected molded. Then drive the price down far enough to drive off all your compilation. Plot your sales volume against your production cost at various price points to fine the optimal price for profitability? I looked into it for my old job. Get the mold done in China but then have the injection molding done in the US. This was my recommendation to them and now you. It was a different industry through and 3D production may have changed since then Still might be worth looking into.

What? Milwaukee is literally the only brand that integrates this on some if their boxes. The large and xl boxes do this with the top handle.
I haven't seen any other brand do it. It's only boxes with top handles, not front handle or the organizers. But at least it's some. And only because people tend to lift the top handle without looking at the side/front.
But you totally look at the latches with front handle boxes, because they're roommates. This accidental dump happens rarely.
But a great product for people that are hella clumsy. The only time i dumped an organizer is when i lost my footing, just before going to latch one lock.
