You make a good point. Consumers fail to realize that corporations to increase their profits figure out ways to increase potential customers. This is how the monthly payment and lay-away were introduced. If items (i.e. cars) become too expensive, just extend the repayment period ( cars use to have a max repayment period of five years and now you can see repayment periods up to 10 years). Typically mindset is if I can afford the payment I can afford the item. In the luxury item business they have an entry level pricing point to attract customers who will stretch and pay for items they cannot afford. They design this strategy again knowing that it will produce incremental business and quite honestly I bet the bulk of their sales are in this category.
@menacemini4894 if its certainly do-able for people making 50-60k to not live paycheck to paycheck, then how are you having such a hard time with 6 figures??? Especially if you have a spouse that is working?
I get that some people can’t manage money, but it has gotten to a point where it’s tight regardless. Remember it’s not always just about making sure bills are paid. It’s saving, money for leisure and an overall piece of mind. We have reached a point where 80k is simply paying bills and barely getting by. The fact that most people don’t make this amount is bothersome! The average salary is like 45k. We have gotten to a point where most need a roommate to get by or get married with two incomes. It’s real out here and most people are not perfect with 0 debt!
After watching this video im glad im moving on the right track. Im 24 I have zero debt my rent 600 and I follow my budget plan and I save 1200 per month. Im only making 3.2k per month
As your pay increases, people have lifestyle inflation. I have had that, but it has seriously curtailed the last ten years. Why, because I got smarter and realized that, while I make a “bit” more than this young lady, I can’t really afford the large ticket material things I want. Sure the payments on that GLS 580 can be made easily, but I cant afford the car. Why? Because I don’t have a 3 month emergency fund, I don’t have all my son’s college tuition saved (he’s in the 9th grade) and I still have about $20K in loans outstanding. I won’t even talk about retirement savings and my mother isn’t getting any younger. When you take a very dispassionate view of your money, when making “six figures”, you realize that, the vast majority of the time, only people earning over about $400K can afford $100K vehicles, etc. and even with them it depends on their lifestyle. The rest are faking it.
I live in NJ, I make 50k gross annually but I have no kids and I’m not married, 10k automatically goes to taxes n I’m lucky if I don’t owe during tax season and I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY 1/5 of my salary goes to taxes that is INSANE
I hear all this but we living in the most tumultuous times in regards to finances. I understand you need to manage money better but we gotta look at the reality and realize the people that control the wealth and currency in this world are not Allies of the everyday people.
It means people are not strategizing, they just wanna have what they want at any cost. If your take home is $4800 a month and you are single you shouldn't live in a 2 bedroom downtown apartment 😊.
When my husband and I first were married, I shopped at goodwill and made a budget. Paid of 125,000 student loans in 23 months and we worked until it was gone. He paid off 8000 of his loans and cc during this time. We had 2 kids. He was in the military at the time and played piano at the church. I worked 2 jobs as a physical therapist. We never had a babysitter unless my mom came to visit. Gotta be laser focus to change your life. We ate beans and rice and healthier than we ever have eating at home
LOL...the last one. I agree....if you're broke, owning a pet is going to cost if there's going to be vet bills. Same goes to those who are broke or in debt and they decide to have kids after kids.
Not all jobs pay out your pto. I worked from home and accumulated a good amount of pto, but when i got laid off…guess who didn’t get pto paid out? 🙋🏾♀️
This is true! I worked for a company that didn’t pay out PTO when terminated. I had 6 weeks of earned PTO got laid off and they didn’t give me shit lol.
Oh it gets worse far worse the IRS took $2,640 after I grossed $6,490. In a 2 week period. I claim single 0 all year.. then when I file.. they tell me I still owe although I’m having the maxim taken out each time…now I know folks will say that’s great but the cost of living is high.. car note, mortgage.. insurance… miscellaneous stuff… relatives asking for help… that money goes fast.
Im making 77 and i feel rich. Im single and have a 1 bedroom apartment in koreatown Los Angeles for 1600.( I found a crazy deal). My car is paid for as it is 20 years old and looks nice. You got to play ro win, i found the best apartment i could find and i drive caes that are paid for
That First Lady with the taxes. It’s insane. I go through that every paycheck. Too much tax. I bring home just a little more than that because i always get a little overtime. I’m glad i home multiple families rental properties that definitely helps with the savings, can’t only depend on you paycheck

Some of those chicks need to allocate their resources better. I make $92k salary, but at a federal level I am taxed less than the chicks in the $80k -$85k range. They need to contribute more toward their 401k to drop their tax bracket in order to maximize earnings.
I under stood the groceries and the food. He is buying groceries but he is also still eating out on the regular most likely eating breakfast and lunch at work.
Eating out is what gouges your food bill. You can save a ton by cooking and bringing your lunch to work. Cook dinner and save leftovers (they're usually is) and bag it for the next day. Treat eating out as a rare luxury, not an everyday lifestyle. 🤷♀️
I make 105k a year and live in Oregon.. Im actually moving this week due to the current cost of living here. $2k a month on rent for a 1bed1bath apartment..
It all comes down to "lifestyle". No one looks at what they can "cut" back on. I always encourage people to cut back on your vice. Smoking, drinking, gambling/scratch cards, eating out and especially bad shopping etc. Be realistic in budgeting.
To me if you make 80k plus, you should be able to live in a one bedroom alone. If you adjust those numbers for Dallas Texas, you can get a one bedroom for $1600 on the low in in a decent neighborhood so you would only save $300 there. I think his other bills are ok. Some may be inflated here or there, but trust me, it’s getting spent somewhere. Nobody has a perfect lifestyle. This shows you how quickly your budget can be tight with 80k. That’s not that much anymore! Even 100k is tight if you actually want to buy real estate in the US in 2023 and beyond! It’s real out here!
I feel like a lot of people don’t understand that because they came up in a time where inflation was low. My stepfather once owned a home that was $275,000 , that same house is now $595,000 outside the city of Atlanta. The interest rates were lower also.
It’s a mindset I been 120k for 3 years (from $14/hr) I was paycheck to paycheck for the first 2 years then I just stop buying shit. Invest in stocks and sit your ass down. Work on your LLC so you can take the tax advantages.
I see others complain about you. It's all ok, because when you are doing great, folks will hate. 😅 Plus what is so frustrating about high taxes is that they give it to countries that hate us.
4K after taxes. Most people living on on 45K Gross, before taxes. Make it make it sense. She getting the full paycheck of what most people make a year.
My think is risk vs reward..if you're at a job np matter the salary and you're required to work hard, beating down your body and mental well-being it ain't worth it...I myself make 26/hr before tax..I'm single with no kids in DC so they tax me good...I pull in 1400 by weekly and I have a very chill free range Gov job where I can kinda do what I want and I'm never exhausted ...so the reward out weights the risk but I know my potential for growth is more so I feel stagnant because of that...all n all we need money but most importantly we need unity/togetherness which in this time that's not possible because of inflated egos and the "I so it on my own" mentality...you'll be old with alot of money but unhappy because all you did was work smh we gotta find better solutions then just working ourselves to death for money and material bs
Food = going out to restaurants. Car note = too good to drive a "just get there car". Groceries for one person = I like steak and shrimp instead of chicken, rice and tuna. Lose all that. I just saved you $800 a month. You're welcome.
i know too many people that rather take a $600 car payment instead of buying a car cash that works. too focused on impressing people that dont care. ive seen all kinds of vehicles in real life i dont care if its a mclaren. i might nod or look a little but idc
Anton speaks as if he is oblivious to the obstacles that Americans are faced with in 2023. 1. Some areas don’t allow for public transportation. 2. I’m not about to roommate with a stranger. Mental health issues are an epidemic in America 3. Some people don’t have “folks” to move back in with 4. What job is going to accept an Associates Degree vs a Bachelors and pay six-figures??? Just stop it Anton… Not everybody is trying to live a luxury life. Bottom line: These companies have not raised the salaries based on cost of living. This is a fact and backed by data. Just stop it!!!🙄🙄🙄
Absolutely right, most of your money need to be invested, women are relatively a few decades new to bread winning so they just in party/bullshit mode right now
I managed to save 15k making ~35k in 2 years.. granted I have a roommate and I’m a minimalist, no children, but now making more than twice that and still living the same lifestyle. So as you can imagine, I’m not going to live paycheck to paycheck. It’s about choices; if you can’t buy it three times without breaking the budget, don’t buy it until you saved for it. 6 years ago I was on welfare, blaming the system, but the problem was no one showed me how to budget and develop skills people will buy, so I taught myself. Control over finances = control over freedom. Was going to buy a car, but after looking into all of hidden costs, I will continue to take the train, fuck that 😂 yeah women/men might look at me from the outside and think I don’t have my life together, BUT, I do lol
In the black community most people don't know how to managed money, what savings are and most importantly what retirement plans means.. They rather lose thousands in taxing money instead of taking these thousands from their hard working paychecks and put it in a 401k or multiples retirement programs ..
been saving for a car (im 30, live in nyc with a good but shitty looking Transit system)..... i have most of it saved up....but looking at all that money in my bank account.... im just like.....fuck that car, my feet work just fine just 😂😂😂
I make 6 figures and I have a wife & 3 kids on north shore of Long Island. If I weren’t head of household with a family I would be renting a storage unit and be outside keeping busy. There’s ways to sleep in storage unit without any one knowing and gym has showers 🤔 I swear there’s no common sense no more. Fact of matter is people choose to rent apartment by themselves so the price goes up and up.
My husband lived at home while doing community college, then 3yrs on the job training with nuclear power plant. Also helping his Dad at home. Saved every penny he could. We met in 2010, paid off both cars then bought our 1st home 2012. Saved every penny again while making house payments & raising a child. I'm a stay at home Mom. No credit cards, ever. Sold our home this yr, paid cash for a 23 SUV (first car we've bought since 2011). Currently drafting plans to build our forever home. The forever home has been our dream since the beginning. We do vacas and enjoy our money but we've never dwindled our nest egg. Also, the state you live in factors in. It's why ppl leave California & come south. You really do get more for your money.
If you can work remotely, and you have the option of doing this, get out of the US during the winter and sublet your place. My NYC rent is 2k a month. I'm saving 12K/year just off that alone...I haven't even calculated other NYC costs yet. From the savings so far, I've bought a giant beach front property in east africa that im turning into a resort. Next I'm saving for a few years and buying a ridiculous manhattan apartment. With the goal of renting it out most of the time. Because I'll be working from the beach front property... 🤷♀
I live in philadelphia and i'm calling bullshit you can rent an whole house With utilities included the less than $1600 a month. Live within your means and you'll be fine
You living beyond your means period. If your using the options you have by buying in bulk and using zip lock bags to plan your meals as well as give up some stuff you just don't need.
Had roommates before stuff got stolen woke up to some random girl in my bed (good or bad depending) but the good thing was that I lived in a Expensive part of the city with a big ass room
I'd like to see a video comparing the choice to live paycheck to paycheck in big cities vs. keeping much more of a smaller paychek in the rest of the US. BTW the best skills are MOBILE, have multiple career paths, and cannot be effectively outsourced overseas. I never met a decently motivated mechanic who was unemployed except by choice. Women can have portable careers too and make bank, for example travelling medical services including nursing. A portable skill lets you escape doomed hoods then go enjoy the rest of YOUR country. Everyone wants to code but coders can be replaced. Chasing everyone elses dream is a bad idea unless you really do have exceptional skills. OTOH chasing careers and jobs most people don't know exist can get you economic security. For example my wastewater treatment bro left the AIr Force (normally not the wise career move) after one enlistment because he had so many job offers (which he showed me). He could live anywhere so he went back to the rural Midwest he loved. Unless Americans stop pooping he will have work for life.
He may have work for life, but how much does that work pay? How much does that mechanic job pay? Can they earn $85, $90 dollars and hour like tech jobs pay? Good comment though.
I agree with you on this video brotha. You reviewed the knuckleheads.😂 What would you recommend as a solution? What would be your paycheck (dealing with taxes & 401k) and/or budgeting suggestion video for someone making 100k annually?😁👍🏾
That first girl that made 85k had a take home/Net pay in Arizona that is equal to mine at 70k in Texas. I make 70k but am not paying into my 401k and my net bi-weekly is also around 2200
If I was making 6 figures. I would put the rest in my account. Currently im making1700 a mounth I would take out $50 for my classic car insurance another $50 for myself public transportation about $25 and the rest in my account I will still survived with $1575 for the whole month.
I live in the DC area it’s a lot of people making 6 figures living paycheck to paycheck. The cost of living is extremely expensive; especially if you have children. That coupled with inflation is difficult to say the least. I just begin making over 6 figures and can say from personal experience it’s not the easiest in this economy to build up your savings and investment accounts. It does require a great deal of discipline and sacrifice.
Living in Miami. I make over 6 figures and YES I live check to check. 1 child. Co parenting. Invested. No car payment. Lost a lot money with FTX bitcoin scam. Black Man. It’s ugly. Just wanted to share
18% of people in America make $100K or more in America. 50% of those people still live paycheck to paycheck. So most Americans are disciplined to earn more money but not to steward their money better.
Buying PTO is not dumb at all. My old company allows us to buy 40 hours and we earn 120 each year. The hours purchased had to get used first and at the end of the year If not used it was paid out on last check. You can roll over up to 600 hours from year to year. Anything over get paid out to you. I would use 40-60 hours each year in pto. When I left the company I was paid out 470 hours of unused PTO. I work for a major bank so I got all federal holidays and 3 floating days. So I got time off I needed, seem like I never took time off because I was using them just to extend holidays we already had off. Buying PTO is definitely not bad if used right
If you are renting still... with that salary. You should have a mortgage and secure that money not give it to some landlord that owens the building and making him rich.
Its called doing over time. lol get a second job and get extra money until you pay off that car and student loans, Then the extra money your getting after your car and student loans are paid off. You should be investing in dividend and interest paying assets.
Food 300.00 plus groceries 400.00 you can eliminate food by 200. Luxuries bring that down to 100.00 you just added an additional 685.00 left over. Learn to sit down for a bit
This! I can't relate to any of these bubbly spoiled people the only thing I think when I see these kind of videos/clips is how wasteful their bad financial decisions are and how I could've invested that to make even more to make it last longer!
Exactly, We believe we can finally afford that 2k house and New Telsa with just 80k a year. Most of these people have pets, new marriages, and even health issues. I don't understand their thinking but I know it takes way more waiting to get what these people trying to get within a year.
I would generally agree with this sentiment that people are living beyond their means in most respects. But I'm also skeptical for the fact I suspect a good amount of these young people (25-40yrs) who make +$80k are also assisting said parents in their old age too. CBS reported this year at least 27% of those 59 years or older in the US have no retirement savings outside social security. CBS and USNews also highlighted that roughly $500k-$1.2 million is needed for sufficient retirement. Some of these people aren't living the same lifestyle as their parents primarily because they themselves are subsidizing their parents lifestyle. Both Pew Research and AARP in 2020 stated roughly 1/3rd of midlife adults helped parents who 65yrs or older (which is close to the amount CBS highlighted themselves). I suspect the reason this isn't openly talked in videos is because of the shaming they would recieve. But channels like Tonetalks remark that a scenario like this isn't helpful for young people because it betrays the responsibilities the parents had to their kids by not impeding them. Especially in a climate where rising costs is the norm and some form of generational wealth is used more and more to combat it. Some of these young people don't even have their parent's house to go back to as a way to fight costs because they either lost it to a divorce or an event like the 2008 housing crisis.
@@mickelkobeck7376Yes, we both can agree on that point. The current climate seems to be more suited for tightening the purse strings on lifestyle and/or consolidating the wealth among families to some general pot or single home. But with how people are used to moving in the last 40-50 years that's not going to be easy shift.
For me I'd get a 2ba, get a roommate and cut down the living cost by 800. get another job for a year or two, and clean up the student loan and the car as soon as possible. How tf you want a lifestyle when you are in debt.

Does your state offer 529 plans or something similar. It’s a great resource to begin planning for your child’s secondary education.
That guy at the end is probably a LVN/LPN. These are nurses who get a a 2 yr associates from a community college or trade school.
I'm living comfortably off 5 figures, with a home, 2 cars, and student loans, and i could easily save up to 1k a month 🤷
Same thing with me..... I owe Irs every fuckin year that's ridiculous
Im making 77 and i feel rich. Im single and have a 1 bedroom apartment in koreatown Los Angeles for 1600.( I found a crazy deal). My car is paid for as it is 20 years old and looks nice.
You got to play ro win, i found the best apartment i could find and i drive caes that are paid for
you are living better than 80% of america especially if you are smart with money
I hate when RUclipsrs talk about a general topic up from their particular perspective... ..
But it is his channel..
In the north east a 100k ain't shits..taxes are crazy
That First Lady with the taxes. It’s insane. I go through that every paycheck. Too much tax. I bring home just a little more than that because i always get a little overtime. I’m glad i home multiple families rental properties that definitely helps with the savings, can’t only depend on you paycheck
Lady had 45k a year going into her savings that’s excellent honestly wether people hate savings accounts or they don’t make sense to some 45k straight cash savings I don’t see how she could go wrong
Some of those chicks need to allocate their resources better. I make $92k salary, but at a federal level I am taxed less than the chicks in the $80k -$85k range. They need to contribute more toward their 401k to drop their tax bracket in order to maximize earnings.
It’s third grade math. Budget and live within your means.
I totally agree straight robbery $671 in taxes 🤬
26 years old and 160k good job. I heat that number when I was 38 now I am 40 making about 230k. Really good job. 👍🏾
He said I’m done I can’t do this anymore, cut the show🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I make 105k a year and live in Oregon..
If a single person making 80k and up and is living paycheck to paycheck, then he/she is living above their means
The girl said she went from 78,000 to 50,000 just to make TikTok videos. This generation is doomed.
and she said it so proudly lol smh how are you proud to be stupid??
Don't get me wrong. I love pets but $700, when I know The local animal shelter has them for $50-$60 bucks. Yeah
Man I got a huge bonus this year, I saw that that they took more than half before I received it. I wanted to cry Smfh
4K after taxes.
Most people living on on 45K Gross, before taxes.
Make it make it sense.
She getting the full paycheck of what most people make a year.
If you're making six figures and your living paycheck to paycheck, either you've made bad decisions in the past or you're making bad decisions now.
bad decisions for a hundred plz😂 they broke tryna live like Jay Z
The groceries and food part could mean he eating real good 400 on groceries from the store and 300 to eat out🤷🏾♂️
How did the 2nd person factor in food and groceries 😂 if I’m paying $400 in groceries, I’m not paying $300 eating out too
Folks don’t budget. Eating out for 2 ppl nowadays is like $50-$100 for restaurants or DoorDash
They don't see eating out as the luxury it is. It's not a necessity for the average person.
how does one simply eliminate utilities? Because just "livin with yo folks" isnt an option for everyone.
Mental health issues are an epidemic in America
3. Some people don’t have “folks” to move back in with
4. What job is going to accept an Associates Degree vs a Bachelors and pay six-figures???
Just stop it Anton…
Not everybody is trying to live a luxury life. Bottom line: These companies have not raised the salaries based on cost of living. This is a fact and backed by data.
Just stop it!!!🙄🙄🙄
Exactly but he's like the news selling fear. And he probably had a strong support system he didn't get it from the mud
Exactly
I'm positive he can find better rent and eat at home more often.
Absolutely right, most of your money need to be invested, women are relatively a few decades new to bread winning so they just in party/bullshit mode right now
We need more video like this
I managed to save 15k making ~35k in 2 years.. granted I have a roommate and I’m a minimalist, no children, but now making more than twice that and still living the same lifestyle.
In Texas I receive 85% of my paycheck not many places can say the same
The mismanagement of the money is the root of all problems 💯
They don't hear ya tho
@@tyrecarmon20 they’re BROKE minded! ☠️☠️☠️☠️
This is 100% a fact
In the black community most people don't know how to managed money, what savings are and most importantly what retirement plans means.. They rather lose thousands in taxing money instead of taking these thousands from their hard working paychecks and put it in a 401k or multiples retirement programs ..
Have you seen some of these women what kind of cars or suv's they'll be driving, Audi, BMW,, Range Rover, bruh are you serious..
been saving for a car (im 30, live in nyc with a good but shitty looking Transit system)..... i have most of it saved up....but looking at all that money in my bank account.... im just like.....fuck that car, my feet work just fine just 😂😂😂
Dude cat had asthma🤣🤣🤣 I would of ended the show to😂😂😂
I hate when people use the phrase ‘6-figures’….. that can be anywhere from $100k per year to $999k per year. Big difference!!!!
I feel most people get lazy and aim for that 99,999 + 1 mark then consider themselves part of "the club" lol
I was getting paid weekly and I was doing extremely well what is wrong with these people
I make EXACTLY what the 1st lady, exactly. 6% matched to my 401K. Check ends up at a $2497.43.
When people say they are NURSE: They mean they are CNA or LPN...
Otherwise they would say the are RN.,.,,,,
If you can work remotely, and you have the option of doing this, get out of the US during the winter and sublet your place.
🤷♀
Like Tht Idea 💡
I live in philadelphia and i'm calling bullshit you can rent an whole house With utilities included the less than $1600 a month. Live within your means and you'll be fine
If you want to trim the deficit then cut military spending.
Anton said the 1st thing I was thinking…rent prices mean you need a roommate lol
So you gon spend all your life with a room mate?😂😂😂😂😂
@@Unknown_Trucker78
Looking for a room mate in California
is like looking for a room mate in prison.
You shouldn't have to get a roommate because inflation is so high, it's not fair.
All you gotta do is show up to work everyday. You'll look up and have hundreds of hours of PTO
I wouldn't share my income on the internet. Not in today's world.
These people make so much money 💰makes me cringe I've never seen no where near $100,000 in Arkansas. Wow! That would be luxury living for me.
I agree with you on this video brotha. You reviewed the knuckleheads.😂
What would you recommend as a solution?
What would be your paycheck (dealing with taxes & 401k) and/or budgeting suggestion video for someone making 100k annually?😁👍🏾
That first girl that made 85k had a take home/Net pay in Arizona that is equal to mine at 70k in Texas. I make 70k but am not paying into my 401k and my net bi-weekly is also around 2200
Sounds like some of these folks need to learn how to shelter more money in retirement vehicles and cut back on some of the LIFESTYLES…….
It is not what you make, it's what you keep.
💯💯💯
They giving the wrong people these damn jobs if I was making 80k a year I would never be paycheck to paycheck and I live in LA
I am unemployed in Houston doing odd jobs to make ends meet and my rent is 1500 and i still pay my bills with no issue. LOL
I feel her. I grow 96500 a year before my annual bonus which is 3700. I bring home 2500. It's BS.
I watch your channel like it's channel News mainstream
2008 recession ain’t shit compared to what we going through now
Not true. There were MILLIONS of home foreclosures in 2008. This time doesn't come close to then.
@@user-xw4vg1vy5e I’m talking about the cost of living mostly. Just wait. Give it more time for all the foreclosures that are coming
Buying PTO is definitely not bad if used right
Tis not the money you reap but the money you keep
If you are renting still... with that salary. You should have a mortgage and secure that money not give it to some landlord that owens the building and making him rich.
Honestly some of the things he was shaking his head at made more sense than what he was saying
Its called doing over time. lol
get a second job and get extra money until you pay off that car and student loans,
Then the extra money your getting after your car and student loans are paid off. You should be investing in dividend and interest paying assets.
At the 6 minute mark and the budget. What if a person smokes.that is a budget buster. I don’t smoke but I have plenty of stock in Altria
Food 300.00 plus groceries 400.00 you can eliminate food by 200. Luxuries bring that down to 100.00 you just added an additional 685.00 left over. Learn to sit down for a bit
50k a hear puts you in the top 1% of the planet. Live within your means. I don’t want to hear how hard you life is in your loft.
What??
This! I can't relate to any of these bubbly spoiled people the only thing I think when I see these kind of videos/clips is how wasteful their bad financial decisions are and how I could've invested that to make even more to make it last longer!
I guess attention is the new currency. I can't imagine giving up 20k a year just to make videos unless that made me 30k
No one is killing for GROSS pay.🤦🏾♂️ We all should know that gross isn’t what you’re actually seeing.
Young people try to live the same lifestyle as their parents not realizing it took YEARS/DECADES for their parents to build to that level.
@@jno2537 So, at least we can agree that People, of all ages, are financing a LIFESTYLE rather than building wealth.
