As far as tomato paste, you can purchase it in a can (better packaging as far as recycling) then put the excess in zip baggie, butcher paper, or the like. Roll it into a long log and freeze it. Each time you need a tbsp or tsp just use a knife and cut a hunk off. It works marvelously.
HealthNut Nutrition try freezing it in ice cube trays instead!!! Once frozen transfer to a ziplock bag and any time you need it you will have a TBSP worth of it at a time!! No need to thaw either, just throw it in the pan/pot.
I can see why you got tons of stuff at Trader Joe's!!! The fruit spreads, raw almond butter, purple sweet potatoes, sunflower seed butter, lentil pasta, chickenless strips, and eggplant hummus are absolutely incredible!
Nikki, I'm so glad you you got to go to Trader Joe's. I live a few blocks from ours and I'm there almost everyday. Fantastic customer service and great produce and products! my second home!!
Their wild salmon jerkey is to die for!! I also get the dark chocolate PB cups, the cookie butter (the black/white swirl one), spicy 3 pepper hummus, lentil wraps (lunch section), seasoned almonds, canned tuna, mochi balls, dried fruit, carrot juice blend, sriracha baked Tofu, and so much other stuff I can't remember 😂
1. Coconut Oil packets I have been looking for these for traveling. At Whole Foods and on Amazon, they are too expensive!!! I wanted them for quick protein powder, almond milk and coconut oil smoothies for travel days or when you don't know when you'll have your next good meal, keeps you full and satisfied for awhile. 2. Kerry Gold Irish Butter! The first time we tried Kerry Gold butter was in Ireland. We were instantly in love and when we found it back in the states, we were so happy and would sometimes buy it as a treat. But now that Trader joe's sells it, I just keep it on hand for eating, spreading on bread/toast etc. We use non kerry gold butter for cooking with. So I guess Kerry Gold would be our table butter. Love.
I'm from NYC and trader joe's, and Chinese supermarkets; are life savers for buying affordable groceries!! I love the cowboy caviar since it's so chunky and spicy. As far as sweets go, the coconut chocolate covered almonds are sooooooooooo good, as well as the PB cups are 100x better than a reese's cup, but's that's a really guilty pleasure lol. All their nuts and dried fruits (the apples and mango are my fav) are so inexpensive! Their Mediterranean hummus, peppermint green tea (only during the Christmas season), pitted dates, tricolor quinoa, organic limes, coconut cream, fresh organic ginger, shallots, the same quinoa chips you got, fall harvest salsa (only during fall), dog treats, coconut oil spray (but really all my oils), riced cauliflower, fresh pizza dough (really good ingredients), organic poultry, raisin rosemary crisps (great for entertaining), dunkers (a cookie that's another treat lol), frozen organic seafood (shrimp and salmon), their coffee k-cups, pumpkin butter (only during fall), and fresh flowers to name a few are my go-to's. Oh, snapchat fam in the house!!! Can't post an emoji b/c i'm on the computer LOL!
Salsa style beans = really good beans. And I never knew that about the tomato paste! Mines still chillin in the fridge 2 months later. And YES I understand the excitement of TJ!!! We've had ours for about 4 years and it never gets old to visit. Like a kid in a candy store!
Holy smokes. I just booked a flight to the states and watching this got me so stoked for all the healthy goodies I can get!! I will definitely be packing light on my way there!!!
I work at Trader Joe's and you made some really good choices! That BBQ sauce and arrabiata sauce are two of my favorites! Also the hummus, cheddar cheese and dried pineapple are 👍👍👍
LOVE Trader Joe's! It's where I do all my grocery shopping! Those baby pineapples seriously taste like candy! They're so yummy. Next time, try the quinoa, amaranth, chia seed, and blue corn tortilla chips. They're amazing. The cookie butter is a fun little treat when you dip Granny Smith apples into it. Some other things I love at Trader Joe's, in the frozen section they have organic brown rice and organic quinoa that's ready in 3 min. It tastes incredible and is great for busy week nights!
Not sure if they have it still or in Buffalo, but I'm obsessed with the Hatch Salsa, I use it for lots of recipes and just to eat. It's so good! The Garlic sauce is amazing too!
Nikole! We have a similar product in Ireland to that tomato paste in a tube (we call it tomato purée) and I have never paid attention to how long the tube is in the fridge. You'd be surprised how quickly you use it.. but don't be worry about that 15 days nonsense! ALSO.. Kerrygold Butter 💚💚 when visited my friend in Canada two years ago I was surprised by the term "grass fed cows".. in Ireland, they're pretty much all grass fed 🐄
I love tjs. I worked there many years ago and still shop there. It sounds so basic but seriously I always pick up frozen mangoes and pineapple. They are perfectly ripped and not messy. I pop them in my mouth frozen and they are sweat as candy. My 7yo will not make a smoothie if we are out of frozen mangoes.
Omg I love this haul. I'm fortunate enough to live right by a Trader Haul's here in California & I love it! You have to get the mini chocolate peanut butter cups the next time you go there...so small yet so packed with flavor! And get the strawberry cereal bars! They are cheap & good!
Thanks for sharing your haul. I absolutely love shopping at the Trader Joe's! They really are affordable! I also request if you can make new videos for your artichoke recipe and if you can share how to make the bulletproof coffee with the coconut oil / Kerrygold Irish butter please.
I love Trader Joe's!!! The freeze dried strawberries are to die for too!!!! I also like the roasted red pepper hummus. The frozen mangos are good too. You should do like a review on new things you tried whether its on snapchat or instagram or a youtube video. Love your videos so much!!
The reason why the kerrygold butter is spreadable from the fridge is because European butters have a higher fat content than Canadian butter. Love kerrygold and other grassfed butters!
For tomato paste, I buy the bigger 500 ml can, use what I need and then freeze the rest flat in a sandwich ziplock bag. When I want to use some I just break a piece off and throw it in my pan. Since it melts quickly on the heat, I don't bother to defrost it.
Love your Trader Joe's haul, please let us know what you use the coconut packets for. I've been eyeing them. You have to try the mango salsa and the banana bread mix. 💕
I live in northern Vermont, and the closest TJ's is two hours away in Burlington, but whenever we go to there we stop at TJ's.. One item you should pick up is a reusable bag. I have several. They are different designs in each state. They are colorful and sturdy, but most importantly reusable!
dried mango slices!! my husband is in sweden on business for a few months and i sent him a care package . i sent the mango slices and candy and he was so excited.
My family cooks a lot with tomato paste and we buy the big can. To keep it fresh my grandma puts enough olive oil to cover it and it keeps really well. And next time you are at TJs you should try some of the OJ flavors and their Coconut Body Butter, it moisturizes so well I am obsessed! I like it better than the $20 Body Shop coconut body butter. Also love the jojoba oil.
The taco shells are a staple at my home for the kiddos and sometimes for the hubby. The taco seasoning is really good but can get spicy if u overdo it. Did u see the red lentil pasta? It is soo sooooo good. Also the refried beans with salsa is really good. I love to spread them on our tacos, or tostadas. I literally live 85% of what u got. Trader joes is the best
At first I didn't like the black bean pasta because it was really "beany" or becomes mushy if over cooked, but the recipe on the bag is bomb! Goes perfectly with the pasta. The bell pepper with the black bean pasta just works so well. I think I used vodka sauce instead of alfredo, but still amazing!
You HAVE to get the chile lime, 21 salute and the bagel seasonings, they are AMAZING, such unique blends! Also, the canned turkey chili is bomb if you are in a rush and need a quick meal
Thanks for this haul. We cross the border to Bellingham every 2 weeks and hit up TJ's. We weren't allowed to bring potatoes across last time 😩😩 Love all their potatoes. Love their hummus flavours and also the tempeh and lentils. They have lots of yummy stuff there.
As others have said, don't worry about the 15 days for the tomato paste. Where I am from the tubes are actually more common than the cans; I have one in the fridge all the time, and it doesn't go bad for months. Just checked, it doesn't even say "use within ..." on mine, must be an American thing. ;)
I've tried almost all of the items you bought, they're all great!! I love TJ's I was so excited when they opened one a few miles away from us. Even their frozen meals are good in a pinch (pizzas, mexican, pastas). They have 'Indian fare' packets ( I like the jaipur vegetables) in the canned goods area that are really good with their garlic naan bread!
That brown rice pasta is SO good! Pretty much everything you got we really love here at my house, except that hummus. Actually, we don't really care for any of the hummus at Trader Joes. Something about them has such an odd flavor. But besides that, good haul! At Christmas, they make those pretzel slims with peppermint & white chocolate and OMG SO GOOD.
I love Trader Joe's!! We have one 30 minutes away and I make the trip there to get certain essentials I can't do without like their garlic salt and ghee!!
I'm so surprised to see that you were able to bring produce items back across. I didn't think we were allowed? My husband and I just went to Buffalo and hit the Trader Joe's and Wegman's too and we love it! If we are allowed to bring produce back into Canada that is a total game changer!!!!
Next time you go be sure to get the kale and spinach greek yogurt dip!! It is amazing and is really good for dipping in carrots, tortilla chips, or pretzel crisps!!
You have to try the Yuzu Hot Sauce, Akaline water, Fried cauli rice, Acai Packets, Nutty Clusters, Harissa Salsa , Thai Chili Lime Almonds or Cashews and the Jalepeno Lime Almond dip!
The cowboy 🤠 caviar salsa is 😋😋 I definitely need to go and buy some of the products that you mentioned Trader Joe's always has great prices and great food Thanks to both of you 😉 Also thanks for leaving the prices in the description box
You must get the horseradish hummus next time. The cilantro and jalapeño pales in comparison. For dried fruit, the Turkish apricots and white peaches are awesome. Great haul! Would love to see artichoke recipes.
HealthNut Nutrition Agreed! I'll finish the one I have but won't get it again. Hope you like the horseradish one. I have to restrain myself from eating the whole thing at once!
Girl, be careful, the black bean/quinoa tortilla chips are beyond addicting! All your other haul items are great. Agreed on the cookie butter, while it's delicious and fun to try, it's pretty terrible for you, and more so I just didn't know what to do with it when I bought it beyond dipping pretzels! Yes, please to an artichoke recipe, one of my favorite foods ever! :)
those packets are super useful for travel! The chai drink mix is actually tasted I never had the pumpkin spice one but i had a few before and I liked it! Love their brown rice pasta. The maple RX bar is my crack so good they are a li lfirmer than larabar but so tasty.
Glad you loved Trader Joes!! I live about 15 mins from the store you went to! and yessss gotta check out Wegmans the next time your here :) Love your videoes! keep up the great work! :)
Here in Germany we always have the tomato paste in tubes. I'm not sure what it says on the back of the tube but we always keep it in the fridge for several weeks and it never went off :)
Loved the video! When we were in NYC we used to go to TJ pretty much every week and I really liked it. There was a special (for me at least) purple corn tortilla chips that I adored so much, it is baked not fried and not oily at all, if you like these things and you can find it, give it a try :) xxx
If you love peanut butter definitely try the Valencia peanut butter from Trader Joe's! SO good! Also, be careful with those taco seasoning packets - they're very spicy!
Happily watching this video, hearing all the cool foods that Trader Joe's have and then you hold up a block of Kerrygold butter.. I was like whaaaat, rewinded the video haha Yay Ireland for sending our butter all the way to the US! #IrishandProud PS this video made me sooooo hungry!
I went to Maryland to see my brother over the weekend and we did trader Joe's on the way home I got the cheddar cheese also can wait to try it I've watched other videos who bought what at trader Joe's so I can't get different stuff next time
As far as tomato paste, you can purchase it in a can (better packaging as far as recycling) then put the excess in zip baggie, butcher paper, or the like. Roll it into a long log and freeze it. Each time you need a tbsp or tsp just use a knife and cut a hunk off. It works marvelously.
great tip!! Def trying that out :)
Grocery hauls are the best!! I really wish I had a Trader Joe's here!🌿💕
I love watching them too!
As a Canadian, I walked into Trader Joe's for the first time a couple of months ago, and I can totally relate to your excitement!
Nikki, I'm so glad you you got to go to Trader Joe's. I live a few blocks from ours and I'm there almost everyday. Fantastic customer service and great produce and products! my second home!!
Their wild salmon jerkey is to die for!! haha I have to be the "boss" of my husband at the grocery store too... or we'd come home with nothing but weird snacks and desserts.
right?! Im so glad Im not alone haha
1. Coconut Oil packets
I have been looking for these for traveling.
Love.
The cowboy caviar paired with the black bean tortilla chips is my absolute FAVORITE! I am totally addicted to the cowboy caviar!
I'm from NYC and trader joe's, and Chinese supermarkets; are life savers for buying affordable groceries!! I love the cowboy caviar since it's so chunky and spicy. I work at Trader Joe's and you made some really good choices! That BBQ sauce and arrabiata sauce are two of my favorites! Also the hummus, cheddar cheese and dried pineapple are 👍👍👍
Carrots of many colors!! Love the colors in a salad or steamed!! Just fun!!
Oh and that Carolina BBQ sauce is our absolute favorite!
so happy to hear! Im adding these to my list for next time :)
the cilantro hummus is excellent. the unexpected cheddar tastes like a sharp white cheddar with hint of parmesan - good stuff.
Not sure if they have it still or in Buffalo, but I'm obsessed with the Hatch Salsa, I use it for lots of recipes and just to eat. It's so good! The Garlic sauce is amazing too!

I pop them in my mouth frozen and they are sweat as candy. My 7yo will not make a smoothie if we are out of frozen mangoes.
Their honey green yogurt and pre-baked cookie dough are my favorites! And the semi frozen apricots!
Omg I love this haul. I'm fortunate enough to live right by a Trader Haul's here in California & I love it! You have to get the mini chocolate peanut butter cups the next time you go there...so small yet so packed with flavor! And get the strawberry cereal bars! They are cheap & good!
Teese chick My kiddos love those
Cowboy Caviar is so addicting!! You're going to love it!
The quinoa and black bean chips are seriously the best chips ever!
Thanks for sharing your haul. I absolutely love shopping at the Trader Joe's! They really are affordable! I also request if you can make new videos for your artichoke recipe and if you can share how to make the bulletproof coffee with the coconut oil / Kerrygold Irish butter please.
The cowboy caviar can be mixed with a can of turkey chilli (also sold at Trader Joes) and make a delicious dip
Cowboy caviar salsa is deeeeelicious! Enjoy! Great haul
I love Trader Joe's!!! The freeze dried strawberries are to die for too!!!! I also like the roasted red pepper hummus. The frozen mangos are good too. You should do like a review on new things you tried whether its on snapchat or instagram or a youtube video. Love your videos so much!!

so smart!
Artichoke recipe please❤️and can u please discuss the benefits of frozen vs canned or picked! Thanks!!
I have a video coming sunday which I talk a bit about frozen foods :)
For baking, coconut oil spray comes in really handy 🙂 , and their brown rice gluten free bread.
My friend loves the mango candies! They also have really yummy dried, unsweetened mangos.
Omg Cowboy Caviar is SOOO GOOD!!! Seriously addictive especially with those quinoa tortilla chips!!
I havent tried it yet! Its sitting in my cupboard still haha I gotta get on it
TJ's organic fruit spread is the only kind I buy! It's sweetened with fruit juice rather than processed sugar.
Love your Trader Joe's haul, please let us know what you use the coconut packets for. I've been eyeing them. You have to try the mango salsa and the banana bread mix. 💕
the superfruit jam is amazing! the quinoa chips are good too, and they last forever even after being opened.
Trader Joe's has the world's best tasting almonds!!
Nice Haul! So inspiring to check the ingredients all the time.
Just got home from Trader Joe's. Now I need to go back and buy all this stuff. Lol
When you shop at TJ and tried almost all of the haul 🙌
haha!
I live in northern Vermont, and the closest TJ's is two hours away in Burlington, but whenever we go to there we stop at TJ's.. One item you should pick up is a reusable bag. I have several. They are different designs in each state. They are colorful and sturdy, but most importantly reusable!

Love your Costco and Trader Joe's hauls. At TJ, pick up the "Everything but the Bagel Seasoning". Delish!
My family cooks a lot with tomato paste and we buy the big can. To keep it fresh my grandma puts enough olive oil to cover it and it keeps really well. Fun Haul!! So many delicious products!
I think I may have gone a bit overboard haha
The taco shells are a staple at my home for the kiddos and sometimes for the hubby. The taco seasoning is really good but can get spicy if u overdo it. Did u see the red lentil pasta? I really like their organic coconut milk with my coffee, such a treat!
The salted almond butter is LIFE 😍😵
yes ! please make an artichoke recipe !!! they're so good and good for you !!
Oh and when you look down, you literally look like my doppelganger lol! It trips me out. Our eyebrows are the same LOL!

I go to Trader Joe's all the time but have never seen any of these products! Definitely gonna look for them next time
Yes, artichoke recipes! Also, love the haul. I just had a convo today about our lack of a Trader Joe's in South Texas. No bueno! LOL
As others have said, don't worry about the 15 days for the tomato paste. I like Trader Joe's Dijon Mustard w/white wine - great flavor and price
Ah! I got the purple sweet potatoes from Trader Joe's too and they are delicious 😋 so aromatic and now I'm hooked! Dangerous
Just FYI - I buy that tube of tomato paste all the time and keep it for months and it has never gone bad. :)
I also have to be the "boss" of grocery shopping with my husband, otherwise we'd come home with nothing but cookies, sugar cereal, chips, sodas etc
Right ?! lol
HealthNut Nutrition my husband is actually better at saving money with grocery shopping

You have to try the Yuzu Hot Sauce, Akaline water, Fried cauli rice, Acai Packets, Nutty Clusters, Harissa Salsa , Thai Chili Lime Almonds or Cashews and the Jalepeno Lime Almond dip!
Hey! I live in Buffalo lol was just there picking up a few things! Love seeing 'hauls' for new ideas! Thanks!
too bad we didnt run into each other! And I know I love these hauls as well haha
I had the tomato paste for like 2 months and it was still good. As long as it's kept in the fridge, you're all good
good to know!
That tomato paste is amazing and it lasts longer than 15 days!
Julia M yeah I've totally had one longer than 15 days lol... didn't even think about it! Oops haha
Dip pretzels in the cookie butter! It's sooooo good
Great haul! I find the black bean pasta to be so gummy! The red lentil pasta is much better.
The cowboy 🤠 caviar salsa is 😋😋
I definitely need to go and buy some of the products that you mentioned
Trader Joe's always has great prices and great food
Thanks to both of you 😉
Also thanks for leaving the prices in the description box
You must get the horseradish hummus next time. The cilantro and jalapeño pales in comparison. For dried fruit, the Turkish apricots and white peaches are awesome. Great haul! Would love to see artichoke recipes.
I actually did not like the cilantro hummus.. wouldnt get it again but I will look for the horesradish one!
HealthNut Nutrition Agreed! I'll finish the one I have but won't get it again. Hope you like the horseradish one. I have to restrain myself from eating the whole thing at once!
The cookie butter is amazing ; it's great in cookies. Substitute it for pb in pb cookie recipes.
The cilantro jalepino hummus is ADDICTING. I can eat the whole pack in one sitting, which is not a good thing
omg I know they were gone once we opened them.. lol
That bbq sauce is so good!!!
Really enjoyed this haul! Thanks for sharing 😊
so happy to hear!!
those packets are super useful for travel! The chai drink mix is actually tasted I never had the pumpkin spice one but i had a few before and I liked it! Love their brown rice pasta. The maple RX bar is my crack so good they are a li lfirmer than larabar but so tasty.

Aw too bad I didnt run into you! And thank you so much!!
Here in Germany we always have the tomato paste in tubes. I'm not sure what it says on the back of the tube but we always keep it in the fridge for several weeks and it never went off :)
good to know thank you!
You can usually keep it for a month.
I am going to TJ this weekend! Hummas, Guacamole & Chocolate
Loved the video! When we were in NYC we used to go to TJ pretty much every week and I really liked it. There was a special (for me at least) purple corn tortilla chips that I adored so much, it is baked not fried and not oily at all, if you like these things and you can find it, give it a try :) xxx
I want to see if my TJs has the oil packets...I really like the cleaner & don't worry about my kids using it to clean!
how are the Rx bars?
Ha! I live in Buffalo 😄 well not in the city but very close to where Trader Joe's is. Like five minutes away from Nordstrom rack, TJ's etc.
If you love peanut butter definitely try the Valencia peanut butter from Trader Joe's! SO good!
Also, be careful with those taco seasoning packets - they're very spicy!
Perfect timing!!!!! Needed to do a Trader Joe’s fun
Run*
Happily watching this video, hearing all the cool foods that Trader Joe's have and then you hold up a block of Kerrygold butter.. I was like whaaaat, rewinded the video haha Yay Ireland for sending our butter all the way to the US! #IrishandProud
PS this video made me sooooo hungry!
They sell cookie butter at superstore! It's pc brand! I've never had it but it may be an interesting comparison between the two!
