Today I'm doing a healthy Costco Grocery Haul! Costco is basically mine and Matt's favourite grocery store to get almost all of our healthy and organic foods in bulk at a discounted price. If you're trying to eat healthy on a budget definitely check out Costco for your groceries.

Eggs! A subject I find fascinating for some unknown reason.
Unless you're buying pasture raised eggs there is basically no point in spending the extra money for anything else. Cage free means no cages yet they're still overstuffed inside a building. Free range means they're STILL overstuffed into a building but are "allowed access" outside, which is usually just a window or small space they can poke their heads out. Organic means they feed they are given is organic, but its also usually not species appropriate and "good" feed doesn't exactly make up for crappy habitat. And vegetarian fed is one of the worst because it forces the birds to feed in an unnatural state. Chickens eat seeds, grasses, and mostly insects. To deprive them of their natural diet for your own peace of mind is unkind.
Pasture raised chickens produce the most nutritious and delicious eggs. You can taste the difference and feel much more full on less eggs because of the more densely packed nutrition. The chickens actually get to walk around in nature, and eat, as they would and should.
I always try and remember to get my eggs at the farmers market from the local family farms!!

If you like Salmon you should 100% try Morey's pre-seasoned, frozen salmon. It is sooo tasty and such an easy weeknight meal!

Yaaaassss! To the YOLK!! Coconut oil is the best! I buy that same pail of it and I not only use it for cooking, but I also use it for my body moisturizer. I just add my own essential oils.
If your husband did a meal prep, that would be great. Love Costco also. Just wondering do you write off your groceries for tax purposes since you do a lot of recipe testing?

We stock up on all of our paper products, baby items & water from costco. Spinach & Spring mix are always a must, and usually a rotisserie chicken after all that shopping! #MoreMatt would love to see his meal prep, maybe I could get ideas for my hubby!
My hubby gets Costco brand Greek yogurt in the 12 pack case. I always get my Vitamins & supplements from them.
I'm not into the egg white trend either... yuck. They taste like rubber.
Shiloh Morris I just add extra egg whites to my scrambled egg mix to bulk it up! Prob not very good just plain.

A meal prep from Matt would be great. If my husband for some strange reason happens to be with me at the store, we leave spending way more money.

What was the first bag of frozen veggies you held up?
I know this video is from last year, but I was wondering what your thoughts were on refined vs unrefined coconut oil. I noticed you got the refined Nutiva coconut oil, I usually get the Kirkland brand because it is unrefined but I'm nervous that Kirkland isn't the best, up-front brand if that makes sense.
I love Costco!!!!! One of my favorite is the Palermo’s margarita pizza and the chicken patties are awesome. I would like to see a meal prepping video too!

walmart is great. they have alot of organic produce and canned beans that are organic the one i go to has organic chicken. i would just love to see one from you
Love Costco! Their meat quality is excellent as well as pricing on some produce items, esp berries. The trick is to not buy ALL your groceries there if you want to save money. It pays erm saves to know your prices. I.E. those reg eggs are about $2 at a disc groc store ;) BUT the gas savings alone validates the membership for us :)

I was a little disappointed with Costco when I joined a few years ago because I didn’t find the food to be that healthy (your Costco looks way better) but it’s getting better...I’m noticing more organic things each time I go. But I was so bummed because mine stopped selling the Lesser Than Evil popcorn I was addicted to. It was basically the reason I first joined!

I don't know that anyone said it was bad just that lots of people (including myself) question whether or not it is really the "wonder food" people make it out to be. A lot of doctor groups (at least in the US) have questioned the hype. And some vegans still see it as fat that isn't necessary. And processed. You can google and see lots and pros and cons for it.

I love Costco but not all Costco’s are created equal...i.e. they don’t all have the same frozen items. Some of the things in your haul (e.g. chicken burger, cauliflower florets & turkey sausage) is not available at my local Costco.
