Each store varies. That’s the biggest selection I’ve seen in years in a walmart. One near me did away with their craft section entirely when people complained about it they slowly brought it back.

My Walmart went from one *full* aisle and the end shelves to one fourth of an aisle. And it's the same yarn, they *NEVER* put out new. I know this because I stuck a note in one of the skeins and it was there 6 months later.

Wow! That's a great selection! Our store used to carry a lot like you saw today. But, it's really disappointing how they've downsized. I don't think it's for lack of sales because I hear a lot of others comment on it too. Walmart is the only place within almost 40 miles that has yarn, except for a little dab at Dollar Tree, lol! Thanks for taking us shopping with you! Enjoyed the video!

Wow!! your Walmart has a much better yarn selection than mine! We don't even have any Pioneer Woman's yarn at all! And all the Main Stay yarn selection, wow! and the Puzzle yarn too! Thank you for the 'window shopping!'!!!
Your Walmart has a better selection than my Hobby Lobby. lol Went to my closest HL (Columbia, MD) last week and they’re down to only a short aisle with only ILTY and only 3 or 4 skeins of each color.On a more positive note, JoAnn’s has really expanded their yarn selection. and has 5 or 6 aisles. JoAnn’s has become my fav.

Hi Glenda, your store has more yarn than the one in DuBois, Warren, and St Marys PA. DuBois store is only 1/4 of an aisle, just on one side. Honestly, I have more than they do. I don't care for the Pioneer Woman yarn. Since I live in the boonies, Amazon has become my go to for buying yarn (and just about everything else!!) Thanks for taking us with you on your adventures. 👸💜🍁

Thank you for sharing. Have not been in a Walmart store in at least 7 or 8 months. Only go if something is really needed. My hubby gets oil and oil filters from Walmart. He changes oil in our 2 autos twice a year. I always check out the craft section when there, and the yarn section is not always good, kinda like your store in the video. Sad.........I remember when Target sold yarn and other crafts also, but alas that is gone for good.

I have used Red Heart coats and clark since 1968. My first was the mexicana used to make granny block.

Walmart near me got rid of most of the Pioneer Woman yarn.
I've been using the Mainstay yarn for 6 years. They got rid of ivory, gold and moss green. I've also used the Mainstay sparkle for hats, scarves and shawls.

I pretty much buy most of my yarn at Walmart. I mostly buy Red Heart. If yarn prices keep going up , i won't be able to afford to buy yarn .

My Walmart in Altoona doesn't have nearly the amount of Pioneer Woman yarn the SC store does! We do have the first skeins you showed. Ours also has the PW crochet needle sets, but I think Crystal from Bag O Day reviewed them and they aren't the best....perhaps for a beginner set. I do like the amount of LB Mandala yarn we have though. It's luscious.
You’ve got a larger department than I do. Mine is about a third of one side of an aisle. You could almost blink and miss it.
Some of the newer Supersaver yarn is made in Mexico, and is very rough,scratchy, you can see the difference when compared to the original.
I purchased some online, but was able to get credit and purchased other yarn.
Beware, so disappointed in Red Heart!!!!

Mainstay is softer than Red Heart. I prefer it to Premier Basix when I can *find it*. Walmart is not the best at stocking yarns. Sort of like my local Michael's though I have noticed they are a bit improved on my last visit.
Our Wal-Mart is getting less yarn I think they are going to stop selling it. You are lucky to have a good selection
I don't know what it is about Pioneer Woman, but I don't like her... She seems nice, but my gut says something's up. The yarn is pretty through.

My WalMart in Georgia is pitiful. Maybe 1/2 an aisle on one side. I'd just rather buy on-line.
Our Walmart has about 1/3 to stretch it, maybe half that much yarn.

Only one aisle? I’d love it if the Walmarts in my area have 20’ of yarn. In three stores in my area they don’t even have the Pioneer Woman’s yarns!!!
Depending on which store I go to that's same as one close to me, another store only has 12 ft of yarn/yarn supplies. It varies from area to area by sales
I use walmart yarn to test out patterns before i use a higher quality yarn.

My Walmart doesn't have half of that yarn, we have like a half of a shelf and I need the puzzle yarn but when they have it they only have 2 or 3 skiens. They don't have enough yarn for a project.

The Walmart less than 5 minutes from where I live used to have a wide selection of yarns when it first opened in 2016. Now it is dwindling bit by bit.😔😔😔

Yarn shopping at Walmart? Well I noticed some premier yarn when I went last week, I was running late for an appointment so I couldn't really look. Plus it looked as if they were restocking. Well I went back today and what the heck? not only what I had seen was gone, but so was everything else essentially. I asked and ohhhhh "analytics show that people are not crocheting or sewing". They are not going carry yarn anymore. They did have 5 skeins of the Premier left. I got 3 because it was $1.00 so I will have a soft throw in a few days
They tried that BS here with removing the craft sections. Let's just say that we have the half aisle of yarn like this back, as well as a small fabric and crafts section that returned not long after they tried to remove it. Our crafters spoke loud and clear by taking all business elsewhere, apparently. Gonna have to pull the same flex on Michael's though. They are trying to shoehorn a fabric section and sacrificed half our yarn section to do it.

The Walmart near me has barely an isle of yarn. And a lot of their yarns are over priced. Even Red Heart Super Saver! JoAnn is cheaper!

Walmart is definitely NOT a yarn supply go to. If you happen across something, great. You put a lot of time and work into a project, you need good quality materials.
That's about 4 times the amount our Walmarts have.
