I just bought 4 of the pink redheart speckle. I just couldn't resist so someone is getting a funky sweater for Christmas
We only got 4 color ways of acrylic yarn and a cotton pouch with a set of all metal hooks, in the Pioneer Woman section.
The red heart speckled is really really rough, it irritated my hands, but works up okay. I made a hat with it. Hopefully it softens with washing!

Unpopular opinion: not a huge Pioneer Woman fan and I won’t buy these yarns or kits. Gimmicky, in my opinion. But if you’re a fan, go for it. Thankfully the crochet police aren’t being funded. 😊 Hope you’re feeling okay! Big fan from Western Washington.
I agree. Basic yarn from Lionbrand and you are paying for her name. I bet you anything she doesn’t even knit or crochet 🙄 I’m not a huge fan of Red Heart yarns, but I got more excited for their new Speckle yarn than the Pioneer yarns. That says a TON.
Yeah. I guess it's nice if you like the aesthetic of the kitchen ware and decor and want to make some things to match, but you could also just match the colors from other brands that cost less. The patterns on the crochet hooks are cute but I don't like that style of hook tip.

Hey, I am in Garland. Maybe the one in Quinlan might have some or that big one in Mesquite off of 80. I find it varies from store to store. I always get discouraged though. Good luck!
I was just at Quinlan Walmart and they do have a large amount of it.
Your Walmart is SO GOOD on yarn compared to ours! Whenever ours gets in new yarn, they usually totally miss on the good colors and stock the cheesy shades harder to work with.
You have a pretty nice yarn area at your Walmart. The closes Walmart to me has downsized to about 1/3 of a row. They had nothing when I went last week. I am going to start driving further in this Texas heat to see if I can fine a Walmart that actually has a real yarn section. So sad, my Walmart use to have a whole row for yarn, but since the are redoing the store the entire place is a terrible mess. The move moved jewelry and women's clothes next to groceries. Now I have to walk to the other side of the store for shampoo. Not happening. I can buy my shampoo at Kroger.

The pioneer acrylic yarn is really nice. It feels like cotton. I am currently making a blanket out of it.

I went by today and picked up some sale yarn. No cross stitch kits, no crochet tea towel kits, limited yarn in her brand. I bought 4 skeins of on sale Red heart for a project I am starting and that is it until I get some stuff done!

The speckled also has a dark blue that looks like it’s sold out almost everywhere.

We have a super Walmart. They have cut our yarn back to a 1/4 of an aisle of yarn. Which isn’t stocked. It’s sad. I have to order online or my closest stores to buy yarn is 120 miles away.

That's the best selection of yarn I've ever seen in a Walmart. Almost $15 dollars for a tea towel craft kit? If it was $7 I'd still think that's pretty pricey. The only celebrity yarn I've ever bought is Vanna's choice because it's a good yarn.

What WalMart are you guys going to? The one in my town has a total of 4 yarns of #3 weight only. Nothing else.

Super Saver yarn is not soft at all and very stiff to work with!
SuperSaver is hard-wearing sturdy. Does not pill or look shabby as quickly as yarns that cost slightly more and are softer. Bkanjets and items made of it do not have ti be pampered. Different colors and dye lots are softer.
3:31, unfortunately our Walmart doesn't have a good selection of yarn. It's very disappointing because Wal Mart here in Brunswick Ga serves Six areas which this area is considered as one of the wealthy est area in the country.
I picked up the coral yarn and I like the colors but do not like the way the darker colors bleed into the pink or orange and make them appear dirty. I also am not paying those high prices just because her name is on it. $25 for 3 hooks. They have a kit that has 9 balls of string for $30+ in pretty colors but Hobby Lobby carries string under $3 in a variety of colors.

@@The1952trouble I buy my kitchen towels in bulk and use a cotton yarn to make the toppers. Even if I buy a more expensive towel, I would be able to make several for $15.
I would love to get the yarn and tea towel kit, but the only crochet hook I like and have is the Susan Bates brand. 3:17

Hi! I liked the teal cakes and the peachy teal variegated bloom. Are these exclusively at walmart ?
They are! And trust me, they are not soft yarn. The feel is very scratchy like wool.
What brand of yarn are the ones with flower decorated ball bands?
Ordered three of the RH Speckles and after working up a swatch of one color returned to WalMart…too rough feeling for me…rougher than regular RH Super Saver but really pretty colors though.
Did you wash swatch first and dry...it usually gets much softer

Not terribly impressed by Pioneer Woman yarns. I prefer the yarns that have always come from the traditional yarn makers. Like Lion, Caron ,ect. They really are experts and provide the best choices. I do miss the " bamboo " yarn by nicole . Not made anymore. It was so great for baby items. Fortunately i now have a Michael that just opened near me.

What a rip off on that Pioneer Woman merch. Probably all from China. No thanks. Mind you, that's just my opinion, if someone else likes it and it gets them crocheting cool! Thanks for the yarn tour. By the way, the Mainstays yarn made in Turkey become really soft after washing. They are my go to acrylic yarn. Your Wal-Mart has a lot of yarn, mine only have one quarter of an aisle anymore. Sad because they used to have three aisles last year.
Walmart has only acrylic yarn and cotton yarn, that’s it and bad quality. Doesn’t have a good selection, unfortunately ALL the Walmart stores in Tampa, Florida are not the best place to go for yarn, it is upsetting every time I try to give Walmart a chance and I come out very disappointed and as I said upsetting 🥴

I’m gonna pass on the pioneer woman yarn stuffs. This is not her area of expertise and I bet she doesn’t do any fiber crafts. At least Vanna was crocheting. Give me Mainstays, oldie but goodie Red Heart and the other usual suspects in yarn and I bet the PW yarn will take up most of the aisle, for peter’s sake!
