Great content, dude. I'm glad I got to see In Flames back in their heyday (Colony tour) before they became a different band. Lunar Strain, Jester Race, Whoracle and Colony are treasures in my music collection. I love that era of Scandinavian metal.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!! These are the videos that I like EUGE !!, Really that incomparable sound of the pair of Jesper and Björ fills my soul !, perhaps one of the best pairs of Scandinavian metal !, By the way !! excellent recreation of the style to avoid jumping the COPYRIGHT !!! a hug from Chile!! and of course I already shared it on my twitter !!!
Euge, once again i need to close my shocked mouth with my hand manually. Insane tone insane playing. You are like a man playing in the same band with In Flames guys. Hahah :) Give us moree of thiss
@@EugeValovirta230V One more question Euge. How do you create drum track ? Do you create it from scratch or do you import existing track into DAW and then just use some plugin?
I use Toontrack’s Superior Drummer 3 and it’s hundreds of beats and several beat libraries I’ve purchased and then edit them to fit the song with Cubase’s midi drum editor. And sometimes I play the simple beats with my midi keyboard and just tweak them with Cubase. But the sounds are from SD3 and then I use a few Softube plugins in the drum channel insert to make it sound even better 😎. I’ll do a separate video of my recording, mixing & mastering process after the first single from my forthcoming album is out in two weeks 👌.
So, I’ve learned if you play with the song in the back it’ll sound good. Take the music away and it could be a different story. I thought at times I was hearing the actual song. 🤘🏻🤘🏻. You are appreciated because when you cover something you go all out. You are producing studio recording quality stuff for us. Thank you 🙏🏻. Maybe soon you and the wife can do us some classical songs. Really enjoy that.
I remember paying 40 dollars for this album to get it imported into America from a record store at 14 years old. That was 22 years ago. No one knew who In Flames was in the states. Not until the mass distribution of Reroute to Remain . Sweet video man !
Euge that was fantastic. That is one of my favorite In Flames tunes and the arrangement to me sounds like how they played it live. Well done as always. Slayed it.
Very good video Thanks i did alot of hours on this song. Practise this song many years ago with the guitar pro tab programs. I did also love this hard rock era and miss it alot.
Damn I'm so hysterically happy that i found your channel here on RUclips! Excellent channel and interesting and fun to listen to your analyzes and professionalism! Great channel thanks Euge so much for sharing your knowledge!!!!!!!!!
Man, I can't believe I just recently found this channel. I hope my one little subscription to the channel has helped in any way because the work you do putting these videos together is just awesome. I like your writing and recording stuff the best, but I really love the In Flames stuff as well. The first In Flames albumn I ever heard way back in the day was Clayman. I was simply blown away by the production value of the album and the sound of the guitars. I have set up every rig I've ever owned since then to try to emulate the sound. Thanks again for this content.
Loved it man! Great playing. You have a way of being able to play anything but you still sound like you. This was a cool video with tons of info. Great content brother, keep it up 🤘🤘
Cool tutorial, man 👍🏻 reminded me of me trying to play this song like 15 years ago :) the uplifting 'Eurovision' modulation was always my favourite part :D and I especially loved the higher melody at the end of that modulation part on the left channel (you left this out for the simplicity of this video, I understand), back then I thought it was fucking brilliant idea. Jesper was a genius at creating melodies and harmonies like that.
haven't listened to Whorcle in about 10 years but damn I'm gonna have to give that a spin. Fantastic vid, Euge! Really appreciate how you break down the theory stuff so even someone like me can follow :) would love to see more of these kind of vids, especially if you're gonna cover more of the old gothenburg stuff. some pure magic going on back in the 90s with these bands
Great video! Is it possible to make a similar video like this (or "how to get the sound of...") for the Lunar Strain album? I'd also be interested in Dark Tranquillity - Skydancer sound and arrangement insights.
They’re basically beats from SD3 which I edited a bit but can’t / won’t share them ’cos as a recording artist myself I value immaterial rights very highly and it took a few days to get clearance and agreement from YT / the publisher to release this video. Thanks! Glad to hear! 🙏
There’s no wrong or right way. I use it after just to reduce the noise/hiss from pedals. So I’m not really using it as a gate but as a noise suppressor. Like this: ruclips.net/video/3F6z8mz-U-E/видео.htmlsi=X6tVuH6WzsOSeyr_
@@EugeValovirta230V thank you for the answer! I use some plugins and the problem is that some of them have a noise gate incorporated and you can't chose in what position of the chain set them. Have you any video using and mixing plugins to get some tips about getting a good tone? Tahnk you in advance
Good point 😎👌. I started to play in 1989 and I’ve basically played every day ever since. Sometimes for just several minutes but usually several hours / day. I guess the longest period I’ve ever been without playing is one week on summer holidays 😊.

over 20 years later i think is good time i continue practising this song past the first riff :D
😊👌

Classic song too. Those guitar parts still hold up as well as they always have.

Clever trick and thank you for explaining. Feels like my left ear betrays the right, keeping both interested throughout. Very cool.

Thanks!

Thanks C!
You are wellcome E!!!!
Great

Excellent video again, great content, keep up the good work.🦾🦾
When are you going to get together with Jesper and make a real ‘In Flames’ record???
Thanks!
I guess those albums have already been made so well in the past that no reason to go back in time but full speed ahead 😉💪.
Awesome vid Euge!! Sounds kickass, the good old inflames! Maybe some dimension zero in the future?
Thanks man!
I doubt but you’ll never know 😉.
Thanks for the video. Fucking awesome!

If I could play like that I'd never put the guitar down, which is probably why I can't,
