@Vinter Just repeating verbatim what Bjorn told me. :) My guess is that he was referring to his Les Paul Custom (which is a pretty hefty guitar) and the 4x12 cabs he used to record as well. Very useful video! I'm about to downtune my 6 from E-standard to C-standard. Do you constantly transcribe the note names of the fretboard to reflect the two whole steps down (a "G" becomes "E-flat", or A minor becomes F-minor)?
Thanks! No. E is E no matter the tuning except when I’m going through stuff with, let’s say, a keyboard player then I have to speak what the actual notes are no matter in what tuning my guitar is in 😎.
I JUST now discovered this video and have always wondered how Jesper got those guitar tones, especially on Jesters Race and Whoreacle. Thanks for sharing this, also now I know how Dismember and Entombed got their tones back in the day, they used an overdrive to get that Chainsaw like tone!
Awesome video!! thank you for this. i find it interesting that without the SD-1 the 5150 sounds quite weak. and with the HM-2 by itself the 5150 sounds terrible. but putting everything together, there is a great final product
Awesome! For some reason I was always under the impression that Jesper never used any boost, but it would make sense if he did. The 5150 (as with most amps, obviously) gets a little flubby without it. Great video, as always!
Fuck me I thought you were just a guitar player with a passion for seeking out tones,,now I see you played alongside Jesper himself,, respect man,, absolute respect🤘🤘🤘🤘
HI Euge. I'm writing from Argentina. Since one week i'm listening this song, for every day. I respect you and enjoy your song. I'm begining to play guitar cause these IF's albums (I listen metal for a long time, and these albums are the best). If you have no problem, can you give me the tabs???? I love your song.
New to the channel and what a bundle of knowledge! Having a day of from work and enjoying morning coffee with the video. Will start to try out these tips in practice next. Going to in flames gig next week so why not to nerd out on their sound and songs beforehand =)
Do you have a guide on using SUHR reactive load IR to connect to your daw to record with an IR? Thinking of getting one, and that's all new to me. Could you connect the amp head to load box to your interface and then in the daw could I use Ignite Libra for the IR? Or do you need to use the Suhr load box itself and transfer the IRs onto there?
They didn't start using that tuning until Reroute To Remain, and it was only used extensively from that album to Come Clarity. Everything before RtR was all C-standard, everything after CC was like 80% C-standard.
Before I even get into the topic of the vid, I gotta say that is one of the most STUNNING Eclipses I've ever seen. I've had a couple full thickness/ctm style Eclipses for a few years now and they're my favorite guitars. One ESP Eclipse-I CTM and the other is an EC-1000T LTD. I love the traditional block inlays on this versus the standard ESP flag inlays. I only recently discovered your channel and even Cyhra as a band, so I assume these are custom shop guitars. Looks amazing. Secondly though, your playing and tone here is awesome. Definitely sounds a lot like that older In Flames sound, which so many of us have dreamed of and chased after for years and years now lol. Even In Flames' live tone is something I've always aspired to achieve. Every time I went to an In Flames gig, they'd have this massive fucking wall of sound for a guitar tone. Tons of gain, tons of mids, loud as fuck but crystal clear. I could go on and on about their tone lol. Anyway, before I ramble too much more, this was an awesome video. Very glad to have discovered your channel. Amazing work.
Oh thanks man! Yeah it’s my signature model made at ESP’s Japan Custom Shop. More info on this one and also info if you want to order one from ESP 😎: ruclips.net/video/JmXa_giKL9c/видео.html

Your channel is pure Gold! This kind of knowledge is priceless! Thanks for sharing. Regards from México
Thanks! Really glad to hear!
Terrific!!!! Thanks again Euge. Keep doing these excelent videos!!!
Thanks! I will 🤘😎.
Dam this is the video I was waiting !
Glad to hear!
I JUST now discovered this video and have always wondered how Jesper got those guitar tones, especially on Jesters Race and Whoreacle. Thanks for sharing this, also now I know how Dismember and Entombed got their tones back in the day, they used an overdrive to get that Chainsaw like tone!
HM-2
Jesus... This is like beyond perfection
🤟😎🙏
This has helped me get the hang of their style. Much appreciated..
Glad to hear! Thanks!
Wow the magician has revealed the trick. Awesome video Euge :)
Thanks! 👌😎
I absolutely love this sound. Let’s get Bjorn Speed Strid to put some vocals on this. 😄✌️
Glad to hear! Not a bad idea 😎.
@@EugeValovirta230V reminds me, have you heard any of the band “I Legion”? Similar sound and he features Bjorn a lot. Cheers
I’m not sure but the name sounds familiar. Need to check it out 👍.
Awesome video!! thank you for this. i find it interesting that without the SD-1 the 5150 sounds quite weak. and with the HM-2 by itself the 5150 sounds terrible. but putting everything together, there is a great final product
Thanks for watching!
And we made a real song of it: ruclips.net/video/PJsccYq9mHs/видео.htmlsi=aPo2vcGQaC2mzykQ
That intro was smokin'!
Thanks!
Hearing this makes me sad rather than happy, because I know that this band from back then will never exist again. Nevertheless, very well played.
Thanks!
Same reaction. Sad to see what they became 😭
We have The Halo Effect now
have you listened to their latest release yet? ^^
It does: the halo effect is their new band
Awesome! For some reason I was always under the impression that Jesper never used any boost, but it would make sense if he did. The 5150 (as with most amps, obviously) gets a little flubby without it. Great video, as always!
Thanks!
Exactly 👌.
Excellent video one of my favorite tones.
Thanks! Glad to hear!
Fuck me I thought you were just a guitar player with a passion for seeking out tones,,now I see you played alongside Jesper himself,, respect man,, absolute respect🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks man! And still do 🤟.
@@EugeValovirta230V apologies, still do,, you got a new sub🤘🤘
No need to apologize man! Thanks! Much appreciated 🙏🤟.
"5150 doesn't hurt with an overdrive"
EPIC
😎
This is a great video with a lot of good info, no BS or filler. Awesome!
Thanks!
HI Euge. I'm writing from Argentina. Since one week i'm listening this song, for every day. I respect you and enjoy your song. I'm begining to play guitar cause these IF's albums (I listen metal for a long time, and these albums are the best). If you have no problem, can you give me the tabs???? I love your song.
Glad to hear man! Thanks!
I don’t use / do tabs but just ears 👌😎.
Your videos are awesome.
Thanks for sharing \m/
Glad to hear! Thanks!
New to the channel and what a bundle of knowledge! Having a day of from work and enjoying morning coffee with the video. Will start to try out these tips in practice next. Going to in flames gig next week so why not to nerd out on their sound and songs beforehand =)
Oh cool! Thanks!
What a fantastic lesson and insight into that sound!! Loved it!!! 🤘
Thanks! Glad to hear!
It would be very cool if you could create the same tones with only amp sim
I’ll add it on my to do - list 👌😎.
Awesome job man. Here i tought they were using drop A# on old stuff
Thanks!
They didn't start using that tuning until Reroute To Remain, and it was only used extensively from that album to Come Clarity. Everything before RtR was all C-standard, everything after CC was like 80% C-standard.
This was informative. Can you talk about the speakers and mic setup?
Thanks! No idea and Jesper couldn’t remember 😎.
Thanks for those amazing informations!
Glad you like them! Thanks!
Holy shit! Years of searching for that sound! BIG THANKS Euge!
Glad to hear and thanks!
