Making My Daughter's Birthday Card! - Inspired by her Art!

- Today is one of the happiest days of the year for me because it's my daughter Alicia's birthday! I thought it would be fun to create a birthday card just for her in her favorite colors using the new Delicate Flowers stamp set from the Sunny Days kit. She is a fabulous artist and designs a lot of the products for Gina K. Designs along. She also designs album covers, posters, stickers, magazine covers and more. I used one of her poster designs as inspiration for today's card. I can't wait to give it to her tonight!

My special needs sister used to refer to VW Beetles as "Squirrels " She would shout "Squirrel" and point whenever she would see one. We were a family with ADHD but gave a whole other meaning to "Ooh Squirrel!" My sister is no longer with us, she passed away from Ovarian Cancer in 2015. That was a wonderful memory and I am grateful your video jogged it for me today.

Enjoying the replay and the conversation between you and Tom. Thanks for the laughter. Enjoy the word play especially . My step father would do word play with my daughters and they would always try and correct him. They fondly remember banter and laughter back and forth during their car trips with him and my mother.

I used to ride along with my grandma on her paper route!!! She would make a cone out of newspaper to put chips in and get me a canned soft drink. LOL!!! I was 3 years old and remember it like it was yesterday !! Simple times for sure!!!

What a talented family you have. I use my Misti backwards, too. Always have. It just makes sense to me for it open like a book. I love your products and your card designs. I especially love all of your birthday greeting stamps and dies.

Seriously, this was one of the “fun-est” Lives! Reminiscing is the BEST! And hearing a wee bit about your family’s adventures is pure joy! I use my Misti the same way 😆 just like you said , opened like a book; I love the flowers and leaves but feel there’s still large bits of white left in the middle of them after they’re die cut.

I’m watching the replay. Still watching. We went to a bakery near our beach cottage whenever we were there and bought Apple Jacks ( a long flaky pastry filled with apples). My kids called them Apple Fish. I actually asked for Apple fish once when ordering. 😂 Fun memories.

In the car we always played the alphabet game where you raced to find the next letter in the alphabet on a billboard or license plate or whatever. My daughter is 26 and we took a road trip a few months ago and played the alphabet game! It was fun and heartwarming ❤

Lol, Misti is not backwards to me. Im left handed and opening the "door" with left hand feels right to me. My favorite color is Purple, so I wouldn't have problem making my cards on purple. So, it is crazy for me to go to other colors. But I'm doing good at expanding to the other colors.😉

We counted the cars with a headlamp out. They were one-eyed monsters.
I use the bottom of my paper trimmer. I noticed most if not all videos show someone using the top of the trimmer.
