That was a great hour having fun watching you having fun. I’ve always stamped on envelops for special occasions like Halloween and Christmas, but I’d never thought of making envelopes into these beauties you showed today. Thanks again for all your time you are giving us. I hope you will have a wonderful weekend with nice and dry autumn weather. Xxx
I love your wild and crazy style!! It just makes my brain so happy to see crazy colors, designs, and textures. I can just feel the motor neurons in my brain clapping their hands in glee. You are awesome, Ceri!
Thank you so much
Ohhh, I forgot to tell you that I make crazy envelopes like yours and had the problem of writing my friends and relatives’ addresses on the business. Problem solved- I bought Avery mailing labels and typed addresses on my computer using Avery website and printed them on my printer so now I just peel and stick the address label right on the envelope. I use 1 name/ address for an entire sheet.
I could watch you do this process all day. Looking forward to you doing window envelopes as I have an abundance of them. ❤❤❤
LOVE the avante guard style you bring to everything. The last time I watched you adorn envelopes, I spied some on my desk and watercolored about 15 of them, layers of color, drying, hand painting simplified flower's,etc. I was surrounded with envelopes in stages of drying. But the next day and 100% dry, I loved them all.
So.. now you have gellied this batch and I now have a fantastic Japonese set of bright watercolors that are not quite guash but can be sheer, that I have to try. And I have a set of your foam stamps for the final finish thickly using the same watercolors. 😊 An adventure!
Thank you for the inspiration ❤
These are gorgeous! Painty envelopes also appeal to the utilitarian in me that wants my art to be useful as well as beautiful. I turn my art into cards for the same reason.
Great session today Ceri! I don’t mind a longer video from you. I like learning what you know.
Hello Ceri, love the project, it made my day, I am still doing this afternoon here in Canada, I love it. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful
“Perpetuating the Scrap Horror’l 😂 I love it! ❤ I will think of this now every time I am deciding whether to throw something out. 😊
To quote your friend Gayke Agnostonelli, "I never met a scrap I didn't like". I am sure yours will be just as FAB.
Bonsoir Ceri

These are wonderful - festive and fun! Thank you for sharing!
Very cool. TFS Hope you have a great day Ceri. 🌞
I love Darcy. I think her messy way of art is part of her ability to be experimental.
I love watching at least an hour of video because that's how long it takes my body to recoup from whatever activity I've just done that I need to rest.
I really enjoyed this video as I do enjoy all your videos. TFS
Thank you
Thanks for sharing. Have to try it.
I knew this would be fun!! TFS Hugs from California * L

Fantastic
You do well building stash Ceri❤, something I need to learn to do😅. Very nice envelopes
Thank you! 🤗 Myriam, stay safe.
@@CeriGriffiths thank you, I try❤️
It's a shame that 90% of my mail is electronic and do not receive much snail mail any more. I could use my envelope maker to make some for having a go at this technique. As always a very cool video Ceri.🖌🖌🖌🖌🖌🖌🖌🖌
If you’re going to make your own envelopes you could paint the papers first.
❤Thank you.
❤❤❤
Thank you!😊
You're welcome 😊
❤
These are very artistics! Love them❤ but what do you do with them?
You can do numerous things, you could put a letter or a greetings card in them, I wouldn’t normally mail them looking like this as they may go missing in the mail so if you want to send them out put them in a slightly larger plain envelope. I create journals so these could be used in a junk journal, art journal, planner etc they could actually be sewn into the signature of a journal. They can be used as ephemera. If you’re someone who does swaps or exchanges you could put in a note with a few pieces of ephemera in one as a treat for your recipient.
What is it underneath the gelli-plate? Is it a large acrylic? I like the kissing technique 😊
Yes it’s a sheet of acrylic or some call it plexiglass.
Daar ik hoop dat mijn tekst vertaald kan worden, schrijf ik in het Nederlands.
Echt geweldig om naar te kijken en wat zijn de enveloppen mooi geworden.
❤
Thank you Suzanne
I just discovered your wonderful art channel. I am sorry, but can you tell me what the best paint to use for these envelopes. Thank you 🙏 😊 what kind of paint plate and roller are you using as well!
Mary, I’m using acrylic paints and this can be done with any brand of paint it can even be children’s art supplies, you don’t need expensive paints. I’m using a 5”x7” GelPress plate and a 4” speedball brayer. Next week I’m going to be releasing a video doing painty envelopes with no special equipment, using only what you would normally have around the house so watch out for that video.
Any suggestions for those of us without a gel plate?
Yes, you can just brush on paint, sponge through a stencil, use a baby wipe…..I’ll try and put together a video in the future not using a gel plate.
Ever thought of just making evnelopes after from A4 painted papers, with the help of a score bord or without?
Oh definitely but when I’ve got an abundance of spare envelopes I’d rather use those.
Ah I understand, it is the opposite for me …
Are those mailable?
Yes you can mail them I’ve received a few mailed from America and they’ve arrived, I personally put the painty envelope into another plain envelope for mailing as the British postal system can sometimes object.
