Technically speaking the lap did happen just there wasn’t enough of it completed in racing conditions so for the next lap and final lap the positions were moved to their position in lap 57

Safety car is obviously for when it's raining, to check whether the track is dry enough to race or not
they should've had japan after Australian because 1. you wouldn't have a month break and 2. japan wouldn't be scheduled during their rainy season. SN: still mad about that Sainz penalty
Best ITB series were eather playing f1 either championship with other youtubers or on your own or playing other random racing or what ever you were playing games hope those series will comeback

I actually turn off the TV if the race is red flagged and restarted from a standing start, because I think it is always just going to be stupid and chaotic and unfair to those who did well before that point and so I won't enjoy it.
@@DanielHarveyDyer Well honestly I didn't mind the first restart, though the reason for the red flag was stupid. Second restart though...
2 laps remaining, low hanging sun, slick track, cold tyres no one's used that day, cold brakes, and drivers who want to gain positions.
That's just gonna cause a crash all things considered. Why race direction chose a restart for that flag is absolutely beyond me

Charlie Whiting is spinning in his grave. He was a purist and intervened as little as possible. OK, sometimes he wasn’t perfect, but there’s a reason he was race director for 23 years with very little criticism.
