Absolutely love this press gun. Only problem I’ve seen is the 1/2” & 3/4” press heads stick to the fitting a lot and you have to use some force to break it free from the fitting
I'm constantly fixing leaks due to handymen and plumbers just starting out in the plumbing field and general Contractors using this method to run copper pipe. I have to cut it all out and pretty much re -do everything using the tried and true method which is soldering. Call me old school but once I solder my joints they are there for another 60 years.
A local plumbing supplier near me will not sell press fittings because he doesn't believe that they're best for his clients. He does stock sharkbite because you know it can grip and be removed, but once the o-ring deteriorates on press fittings, what's really holding it ? Alignment is key to reducing leaks
Dear Milwaukee, I am but a lowly tradesman. I look at this tool with stars in my eyes but yet I can not afford such a luxurious item. I must braze my copper while flowing nitrogen through it like all of the other blue collars out here. Why in the world is this tool so expensive?
I’m a retired plumber and sorry I missed out on the crimp invasion !! Wondering about leaks ? Are there leaks using these tools if used properly especially on steel gas piping … I did a lot of gas piping and sometimes finding a small leak took hours !!
No, it's for the Viega plumbing systems which include options for copper, black iron, and PEX. The fittings are about the most expensive ones out there and the tools are also some of the most expensive out there as well. The only ones buying it are larger plumbing companies because some larger jobs especially government buildings now spec this stuff. It's not a terrible system, sometimes the joints go crooked or slip off a bit when your using the tool but it's a little faster than soldering threading or using the expansion tool on pex-A.
A union plumbing company used one of these to put a cap on a 2 inch line, it blew off during the night and flooded down into the electrical panels and flooded an MRI machine in a children’s hospital. What a nightmare…😎
What?! That’s what makes it cool and me want it even more, plus I think the music stops when the tool completes the crimp. If not this is a deal breaker as it would tend to drain battery life faster, but it may be a trade-off I’m willing to make depending on which songs are used. Plus they do make 12amh batteries so that is an option.

because it pays for itself
@@ysagas but it doesn’t. Not for hvac. Maybe for plumbing. After you buy the tool for hvac you have to spend over three grand for the jaws.
@@AaronPowellvox omg this guy
About maintenance they need to take it to authorized place for recalibrating like crimping tool??
Hello, would this work for hydraulic hose crimping?
No, this is for copper pipe
What model number is this

No the mega press for steel pipe doesn’t leak unless you fuck up and press without the pipe being all the way in the fitting
@@Angryplumbing
Thought I saw it being used for gas piping as well as copper?
@@louiscandreva8850 the jaws that come with the tool only press copper, the jaws that press steel have to be bought separately
@@Angryplumbing 👍🏻
Super crimper, perfect for work, fast and effective.
Saludos excelente SE puede USAR para trabajo de tuberia para aires acondicionado
Why not have Fuel for this tool ? We need small and more power
Tambien SE puede USAR en tuberia de 1/4 diametro

Freezing first, cutting and pressing.

I hate that I’m still soldering when there are tools like this.

So really expensive sharkbites 😂😉
The stupid metallic background music ruins the video.
