In my opinion, i can't believe people pay $800 more for RPO's. To my eyes, the Carson glass looks much clearer and brighter. Oh almost forget to mention how much i enjoy watching your content. Very helpful / informative. Thanks for putting it out here.
Excellent video comparison. I've often wondered if the edge distortion of the RPO optics would be an issue when doing a panoramic NV setup. I'd love to see you guys do a video on panoramic NV in general as I believe that is the future of night vision.
Do you know what you’re talking about? Pano rigs are literally dual tubes with extra FOV and is not “the future” of NV setups. Bridged systems for NV with thermal capability is the future and we’re already in it.
Great video! To much eyes Carson wins hands down. The RPO isn't bad but the jellyfish (for lack of a better term) flair is kinda distracting watching the video. Real world? Probably not an issue but I'd still stay with the tried and true Carson glass!
This is the best channel for nods, I was wondering about if the RPO’s had better clarity but the Carson looks cleaner and with less edge distortion. I have been considering the RPNVG and I was wondering about the rpo glass but I would now see that Carson glass would be the way to go
The hardest pill to swallow is paying a premium for RPOs and taking an optical penalty. Im all for the weight reduction but i cant deal with that and reduced eye box
I dont like how light blooms/ lense flairs really bad through RPO glass. Any bit of light you see. Street lights, lights on houses or headlights passing. Idk maybe its me but it drives me nuts and its $800 more. But if it were the same price i could see it. Just not for me for the price tag
I bought a Manual diopter, so with that on the front, I can’t put my cap on the front. Will that damage my device over time? It it safe to store without the plastic cover? Also am I damaging my device when looking at street lights and car lights at night?
Im aware. I was trying not to confuse people that could care less about the intricacies that nighvision nerds obsess over. Carson also just changed OEMs on the eyepieces, this is the reason we made the disclaimer in the beginning of the video.

No, thank you for watching it
Weight savings Fam
Agreed the Carson looks much better!
Bro these tubes ur showing are premium AF
Thanks bro, we carry some pretty crispy units
Yeah I've been looking on many NVG sites for weeks and NO Elbit tubes have had specs anywhere close to 2900+ FOM!
The cleaner the beaver 🦫 , the more wood 🪵 it gets.
😂
Appreciate content. Especially with the candid and clear information. You’re above most in this business, which is obvious.
I have to say the Carson looks much better in my opinion I’ll be sticking to Carson!
I love the Steele callout. Never been a big fsn

Panoramic meaning 4 tubes.. not two.

Glad to see more non BS comparisons out there
Y’all’s videos are great, about to contact you all to build a tanto.. first time buying NVG after months of research. Can’t wait
Your vids are great. To my eyes/TV the Carson looks better all fronts by a substantial margin
Next time I’ll double check the instant transmission coordinates
Thank you for my pvs14
Thank you for your currency

Based on this video I would go Carson all the way. Thank you so much for doing this video. Please do more! How about all the 50° FOV on the same tubes
video has been done, look in our video library.
Yall enjoy the rpos at cnv? Doss the 3ish ounces make a big difference when wearing them for extended times?
Can you do a video showing what they would look like with different lenses, like if you had one of each?
Great Cold Harbor style video guys!
Ew no.
👍
punching the air right now cause I am not able to just grab one of those units through the screen..
Hello, on average what is the highest FOM image intensifiers that Custom Night Vision has available for sale?
69,420
Nice
@@kevin11288 lmfao this really made me laugh hard hahahah
Test 3 's result is very obvious that Carson is the clear winner

the one that doesn't get you killed

Teleporting is still a theoretical science and is not recommended for anyone that is not a theoretical physicist.
I know your test said no but seems like putting the boomsland on a supergain l3 tube is like putting a eBay exhaust system on my M6
idk.. it is an M6..
The Carson is WAY more clear.
The GBRS clap lol
This Videos are so underated! Thans for the work 🦾
I appreciate that!
Are your tubes cheaper than mil?
What do you mean?
I bought a Manual diopter, so with that on the front, I can’t put my cap on the front. Will that damage my device over time?
It it safe to store without the plastic cover? Also am I damaging my device when looking at street lights and car lights at night?
Yes it will be fine.
I appreciate you brother.
Just close it all the way. I can't answer the part about tube damage. I'm always extra careful.
Carson doesn't produce these objectives... they source from Fujinon or Qioptiq.
I think thats just where the glass itself is sourced? Japan is known for the incredible glass/lenses
@@realghostactual Fujinon has single knurling line around objective while Qioptiq has two. So it's also different on the outside.
@@realghostactual L3Harris also sources from both.

@@ilukeberry veryyyyy interesting. Just learned something new! At least its not from china lol
To my eyes, the RPO aren't even close to the clarity of Carson.
Well in real life i prefer the RPO.
@@customnightvision haha yeah I meant irl too but I guess we all have preferences
