Thank you for the video. I recently changed shops and have to transition from Mastercam over to Gibbs. Slowly getting comfortable with the new interface. Unfortunately, I feel like I switched from driving a Ferrari to driving a school bus :( I'll get my lap times down eventually.
Not really, because the Volumill creates the toolpath automatically, then it looks for the starting location, then drills at that point so the EM can enter. Thanks for watching!
Would of been nice if you would of told us what the boxes on the PRE-MILL tabs are for like what is the 33% on the clearance for or what is the clearance Z for ?
That is for another video. If you want to know what the 33% is, it has a lot to do if you have a pocket and want to drill out the corners prior to machining the pocket. Again, that will be in another video. This one was just for drilling prior to using Volumill. Thanks for watching!
Whenever I post a program with VolumMill, my feed is not what I put it to in Gibbscam, instead it keeps constantly changing. Is there a way to make it keep constant feed (what I put it to) while still using volummill?
Volumill will always be changing feed rates based on what it conceives as chip load on the end mill. Example, a long straight cut could go your programmed feedrate, but a small arc at that feedrate would overstress the end mill and chip load, especially going into corners where is might snap off the tool. Hope this helps. You could change to just a Roughing process, where is using only one feedrate, but normally you have to slow down the feed rate if you don't want the end mill to break in corners. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. Once you learn Gibbs you will be much faster in using it.
Can I chose the location XY where the drill and EM start form there?

@@GibbsCAMVideoTutorials Thanks
Top, também estava com essa mesma duvida, e agora quase uma hora da manha achei a resposta que não tem como realmente kkk.

Doesnt work with version 13
Yes, you are correct. Sorry. They added it a year or two ago. Maybe it's time to upgrade? Thanks for watching!
