I use Gibbs to program y-axis sub spindle lathes. I work in a small job shop so I don't necessarily have time to "see what this button does" when programming so I might just not know how to use it, but I've tried to use volumill to make toolpaths similar (in my mind) to the "material only" option for turning to avoid cutting a bunch of air but haven't had much luck with it. Thoughts? Perhaps a video? To me the c axis is just a faster version of a rotary table. There doesn't seem to be as much information on live tool lathes on your channel, just looking to learn. Thanks!

Here is a link to one of my videos on using Volumill on a C-axis lathe. Thanks for watching... ruclips.net/video/CcvqQr4UCsw/видео.html
