This is one of the coolest albums. Every song is from a horror movie.
The previous album was all classic books that many of us had to read growing up.

It’s based on the Stanley Hotel, which Stephen King visited at one point that is also said to be quite haunted. The whole story/movie takes place in a hotel cut off from the rest of the world on a mountain and it shows the breakdown of Jacks sanity.
Honestly to really understand their lyrics, you have to watch the movies. The lyrics are so on point, you have no idea!! They use so many references and actual lines from the movie. As an example: "don't overlook the past", in the movie The Shining, the hotel they're at is called "The Overlook". If you haven't seen the movies they've written The Silver Scream about, you won't notice the true mastery in their lyrics. INK is probably the most unique metalband out there with the most unique lyrics and concepts you'll ever see and hear. They're underrated! Thank you for the reaction!

@@awkwardangie1873 high five! Have been a fan for 6 years as well hahaha! Well I feel pretty lucky, it was my first time seeing them live as well. My ticket was a gift from my family, I rarely go to concerts because of personal problems, so at the venue I literally cried my eyes out for 2 hours straight lmao. But yeah, met them, made pictures and did a little horror quiz with the band and other fans, then stood front row. 🥺 till this day it was the best experience I've ever had! They're all so sweet and friendly, and they're also really good live! Spencer definitely knows how to entertain the crowd 😜 hopefully you'll be able to see them in the future!! They're totally worth going!
Part of me cant decide whether Silver Scream II extended on this. It's still a fantastic album, no doubt, but part of me feels they sacrificed the clever wordplay in favor of more roleplay (The 'Ade Due Damballa' part of Assault and Batteries, the Huey Lewis scene parody in Hip to be Scared, ending of Wurst Vacation, etc).
Gotta check some of their old stuff man, The Coffin Is Moving, Proximity Mines In The Complex, The Power In Belief are all bangers!
Yes, thank you for mentioning their older songs!!! Have you heard Connect the Cuts, Chris Brown's Latest Hit, or maybe The People Under the Stairs? I could go on and on, but we would be here forever, haha. Those are three of my favorite songs by INK. They're so well done :)

@@awkwardangie1873 yes! INK has been my favorite band for years now, and still no one knocked them off of the #1 spot 😝 it's so damn hard to pick favorites when it comes to INK.. The Silver Scream and Every Trick In The Book are solid masterpieces, every song on both albums is great and are so well put together 😩 on Safe Is Just A Shadow my favorites would be Proximity Mines in the Complex, Buildings Burn, People Die, and The People Under The Stairs. And for The Predator Becomes The Prey it would be Connect The Cuts, What Lies Beneath and ofcourse The Fastest Way To A Girl's Heart Is Through Her Ribcage. I can't pick favorites from the 2 most recent albums, they're all my favorite 😝 what about you? What are your favorites?

@@lllStayHigh You have such great taste in music!! They're been my favorite band for several years now as well. I love so many of their songs, that I couldn't possibly name them all. I'm in love with Chris Brown's Latest Hit and Red Sky Warning. Hands down, two of the best songs they've ever come out with; just my personal opinion. The vocals in both of them are just incredible. Lyrically, all of their songs are pure genius. I'm not a huge fan of horror movies, but the references they make are legendary. The People Under the Stairs is a classic one; how could you not love that one? Connect the Cuts??? Definitely in my top 10 favorite songs by INK. The same goes for Me, Myself, and Hyde, Communion of the Cursed, The Power in Belief, Proximity Mines in the Complex, etc. I'm rambling, lol. I just really love INK, okay? 😂

Well I was gonna recommend every song off of their newest album, The Silver Scream. But then you said you weren’t big on the horror movie genre, and that entire album is based off horror movies 😂 but if you’re a Pennywise/IT fan “It is the end” is about it, and such a fun damn song.

People be sleeping on Ice Nine Kills but they are tied with Motionless In White as my favorite band. Ice Nine Kills is super creative especially with this last album. You should definitely react to their miniseries.

I highly recommend those songs if you haven't heard them; they're amazing, but I'm sure you've heard plenty of their other songs. INK is phenomenal. I'm so glad they're getting more recognition

Spoilers if you haven’t seen The Shining:
Someone may have already explained it, but the Shining is about an alcoholic father who takes a job as the winter caretaker of the Overlook Hotel. He moves his family up with him to the secluded hotel. “The Shining” technically refers to Danny, the son’s, ability to see visions of the future. The story as a whole is about Jack’s decent into insanity in a supposed “haunted” hotel. It’s honestly not THAT scary of a movie, but is in my top 5 favorites of all time.
It’s The Shining, highly recommend reading the book before seeing the movie

The basic summery is that Jack Nicholson plays an achoholic writer who moves his family to a hotel in the mountains that closes down for the winter and his sole job there was to take care of the hotel for the winter however his son has had a paranormal ability called the shining and there’s a few people in it and an old man who take care of the hotel on the on season also has the shining and explains that it’s rare and his father loses his mind because of the spirits of the hotel that are also ghosts and his son dose a little bit two. His wife and son end up escaping but Jack Nicholson’s carcter try’s to kill them with an ax. REDRUM is just murder writen backwards

Ice Nine Kills did a beautiful job of showing the decent into insanity that Stephen King and then Stanley Kubrick gave us in The Shining. I respect that you have no need of the horror genre, but at least read the book. It's not so much horror but a mental breakdown throughout (a smallish book from the master himself), that will leave you wanting more.
