From what the outside? Generally sound is measured in sound pressure, which does NOT correct for distance. It's something that's usually not talked about, but we did testing to SAE J1492 (the one used to test compliance in Cali) and no, it will break the 95 dBA limit in that test.
Stupid side question. Since this Elantra N is fairly still new, what does Hyundai say about the warranty? @Patty Boi no lift shift is not needed if you know how to drive. Rev matching the same thing. Giving these things to people with no skill makes them think they can drive, which they can't. I learned to drive on a real wheel drive 5 spd truck in the winter and have known how to drive since 1990 due to Nascar. Giving advanced skills to lesser people who cant accomplish the task is the same problem of everyone gets a trophy
Nah i fee that people are just lazy and wanna be distracted while driving. Rev match is cool dont get me wrong its dope forsure. But being able to fully control your car and knowing how it reacts to certain things is the best part of driving a manual car. No matter what these car companies should always give a option to buy a manual version of their vehicles. SAVE THE MANUALS!!
Yup! SXTH Element makes the same mods (if not, more) for the VN as the EN. If you bug anything you can use the code PATTYBOI and you'll save some money, up to you!
It's not. That's actually pretty close to what I aim for with hot pressure on track. Keep in mind you can't compare pressure between two wheels of different size, two tires of different size and compound etc. We've validated *our* setup with tire pyrometer, pressure, and on-track data acquisition.
You can turn them off separately of the exhaust. If you have engine in normal you can have exhaust in Sport + and that will result in the exhaust valve being fully open, but without any pops/bangs.

I wonder if there is a way to get all the tuning and modification one paper so i could give it to someone so they can make it for me
How mach is it in yuor cuantry
with 0mile
and with walk mail
It’s not a manual if you’re auto rev matching
How did you do the rear vents??!!
do you know how loud the car is with the downpipe? Is it at least under 95 dbs in normal/eco
From what the outside? Generally sound is measured in sound pressure, which does NOT correct for distance. It's something that's usually not talked about, but we did testing to SAE J1492 (the one used to test compliance in Cali) and no, it will break the 95 dBA limit in that test.
@@williamrori1274 thx :D
Stupid side question. Since this Elantra N is fairly still new, what does Hyundai say about the warranty? I have a Tiguan SEL Premium 4Motion and I just added a very mild modification and they went like nope! You can't do that or you lose your warranty. It's a kinda big deal if I get an N and drive it like it should be driven...asking for a friend...not!
If his motor blows he is going to have to pay out of pocket more than likely due to the tune.
0-60mph time?
What’s the fastest you went in it
I hope your brothers running a thicker oil
What was your ambient temp? You managed to spin the shit out of those 265s, gotta be cold still
Says 69 on the dash
Yeah it was like 70 degrees out haha. It makes a good amount of power but it can hook in 2nd (sometimes, usually not).
It was early morning about 9am, ambient temp was around 70 but a couple hours before it was about 50 so the pavement was probably still warming up
265 aren't exactly the widest tire, so it's not super hard or anything
I see why its called N because theres a N on each side turned 90° across the sides.
How did you record the in-car audio for the last scene?
the sound is clear
External Zoom H1n recorder on the back with a suction cup mount!
Thank you~
I notice you how car has a race cat down pipe, And not a catless Downpipe. Does anyone know why?
probably smell
Might live in a State that does yearly evaluations.
i wish Hyundai brought the Veloster N back and made it AWD with a better turbo and more power
What kinda psi is your turbo hitting?
22 with the Stage 2 tune.
@pattyboi where can I get that suede arm rest??? I need one
Hey! You can order from SXTH Element, this has an affiliate link if you'd like to support the channel!
sxthelement.com/pattyboi
what do you think is better for 32k a new elantra n or 2018 bmw m55i xdrive?
Better for what? It's hard to say without knowing your use-case
Consider BMW insurance and maintenance costs and the N is a no-brainer. Also pops and bangs lol.
BMW out of warranty = Bring Money With you!
Bmw obliviously drives better, so it's worth the extra maintenance
@@ramsongewargis8736 It does? The media talking heads disagree with you. And lest you forgot the genius behind the E39 M5, E46 M3, and even the 1 Series M built the N band at Hyuandia. But you are probably right... or not.
I have a catted dp and borla exhaust on my civic. Sounds great but not this great. Props.
Where did you get the vents for the rear?
How did you black out the trim? Do you have a link to the product you used?
Will actually went directly to a car wrap shop, I forget how much it was exactly but thought it was a couple hundred
oh. thats waterford hills. i've probably been out there with you before. haha
How reliable have these motors/trans been?
Bulletproof. I think I've got like 15-20 track days on this car, most of those competitive days and tuned - hasn't skipped a beat.
do you guys daily drive your elantra? I had my car since november and i already have 200 less miles than yall
Will daily drives it during the summer and stores it during the winter!
Rain, shine, snow, typhoon. I drive my N everyday!!
@@commentmancommentman1658 Yes sir, I drive my 2023 Kona N all the time...I've had it 3 months already over 4k miles...and I have a company truck for work...lol...I cant stop driving my Kona...the DCT literally knows what I'm thinking...lol
I've got a CRV for the winter. My commute is also a joke nowadays, like maybe 10 minutes of back roads so yeah I probably do less than 10K miles per year between both cars nowadays.
What external mic do you have?
I’ve heard about stock horsepower numbers (277hp) are sandbagged. Do you think this is true? If so, what do you think actual numbers are?
Someone said they put theirs on the dyno and thats about where it was at
Random thought but... Im wondering how the 24 G70 with the 300HP engine will compare to the EN. If it even is comparable.
Slower because weight
The g70 would be gapped.
Lmao almost every part is back ordered. Great another car I’ll have to wait to get and then wait to mod haha
Do these mods void the warranty?
There's no such thing as a blanket voided warranty, but yes if you're worried about getting warranty claims denied don't modify your car.
How much whp for just the ECU level 1 tuning?
Elantra N and Kona N will make 320-330whp on Stage 1. Veloster N will be a good bit less.
Have you had this dyno’d?
Everything about the Elantra N is great, but damn i hate HATE digital dashes. Just totally ruins everything for me
What external mic you use for recording sounds?
Zoom H2!
What if I buy a faulty tune from them lol that’s what I’m scared of
Notice its only people who dont drive stick that want changes. All those actually driving stick dont need any changes.
Are you referring to the auto rev matching I talked about? I've driven manual since I was 16 or 17 and I'm used to it. Now I want to improve the experience, things like auto rev match and no lift shift both help to elevate the experience and make it more comfortable/fun/faster
I got a Veloster N, would some of these mods work for my car? If anyone knows
Yup! SXTH Element makes the same mods (if not, more) for the VN as the EN. If you bug anything you can use the code PATTYBOI and you'll save some money, up to you!
@@pattyboi appreciate it bro! 🙏🏾 I was just scouting for now but once I get a little more money I’ll definitely buy their parts and use your code!
Without jb4 ? Why ?
Its a full ECU tune. JB4 is just a piggy back that tricks the computer to run more boost.
No hpfp yet?
It's got one, I didn't think it was worth mentioning
@@pattyboi Thanks
How did you black out the trim?
It's just wrapped satin black.
The steering wheel is the best you've felt outside of a GT3?! Dude it's a Hyundai, you need to level set...
Tyre pressure is low for that kind of driving. But exhaust sounds great, compared to stock
It's not. That's actually pretty close to what I aim for with hot pressure on track. Keep in mind you can't compare pressure between two wheels of different size, two tires of different size and compound etc. We've validated *our* setup with tire pyrometer, pressure, and on-track data acquisition.
Good thing it's got a Rev limiter...
What's your 0 to 60 time with that setup and MT?
2.6 seconds
@@momoknows 😂
the pops do get annoying after awhile it sounds lol like a popcorn maker
You can turn them off separately of the exhaust. If you have engine in normal you can have exhaust in Sport + and that will result in the exhaust valve being fully open, but without any pops/bangs.
@@williamrori1274 Can they be tuned out, with the valve being fully opened? I feel like a tuner should be able to get rid of them.
@@hhaste What do you mean? Like I said you can literally turn them off from the factory if you want while keeping the valves all the way open haha
manually rev matching has to be one of the best parts about driving a manual car... auto-rev matching is :|
Good thing there's a button to turn it off in .5 seconds
I'm curious about what the DCT can SAFELY handle as far as power🤔
tuners are saying about 350 ftlb torque before slipping
@Wes Green so basically a stage I and turbo inlet is going to be ok😇
@@klasseact6663 ya for sure! That's what I plan on doing with mine
@Wes Green the upgraded HPFP as well, no brainer. I see Stillen has a piggyback now, so large, well respected companies are getting involved here😎
We need a TCU tune for DCT’s badly
