I am installing this very Unit. Tried it first with the factory camera, thanks to your video, and it worked after finding the correct setting. But then I decided to install the Joying AR Cam (HD) and used the factory wiring to save running the supplied cable. Spliced it into the oem camera cable in the tailgate after finding the pinout online. The AR Cam even runs on the 6V stepdown regulator Joying has in their harness, so no alterations at the dash end. Simplified the install no end. Your camera replacement vid also helped with the panel removals. Thanks!

Am I understand it right, the backup camera works on the small screen on the dashboard but not in the Joying tablet? Because I can live with that.
I have a android unit that I have front cam i cant remember if it was USB though and the rear camera is RCA do you think Id beable to still use both I would hate to have to run new cables its a pain . I have the AR cameras I see that it has extra cable that connects together so basically what Im understanding from you video its not needed
You can continue to use the USB front camera with the RCA rear but it the USB one will not work with the AR camera app. In my opinion it is worth running the new cable and using the AR front camera because the files are recorded directly on the head unit instead of in the camera itself.
You would have to ask Joying. I'm not sure. I know it does have built in support for factory 360 cameras and there is a port on the motherboard for aftermarket 360 cameras.
2016 was the last year with an upper screen in the US so I'm not sure exactly what model you have. I imagine if it looks like this one than it should be wired the same but can't guarantee it

What about the turn signal camera? Does it still work? And does the unit come with all of the cables for the reverse camera & steering wheel controls automatically, or does a separate harness need to be purchased?
I would assume it does but as this is a brand new model I would reach out to joying directly for the answers. My car doesn't have the lane watch camera. All necessary cables are included and you don't need to purchase anything else.

You can only get to the Android 12 settings that they allow you to. It's a custom version of Android 12 so they can only show you what you need to change to affect the head unit. What settings to do you need access to?
I can get into the setting but it's seems to be through an app that needs permission such as running in the background then I can gain access. I could send you a picture of what I'm taking about but I'm not sure how to do that on youtube.

I have not. These cameras I can guarantee won't work. They aren't "seen" by the android system as cameras. They are analog / digital format inputs to the MCU board which is interpreted by a specialized app on the custom version of Android they are running. Now you could probably plug in a regular USB webcam that works on regular Android tablets and it may work
