This was very helpful. For anyone having issues, try different power sources. One of the 12v wires on the head unit (blue one) was not working. I spliced it into the "camera power wires". Only one seemed to work prob because I was only installing the reverse camera. Might have not been a problem if I had the front camera too because it has an adapter for the camera power wire. Lastly, I still connected to the reverse light because that is what joying recommends. I didn't try without it.
But if you also purchase the front camera and the wires it comes with, it makes the install much easier. it all becomes plug and play. Wish someone had told me this.
Man I'd love to see more comparison footage. Side by side with all the different combinations. HU is my biggest gripe at the moment, but the backup cam is a close second (despite how little I use it).
I'm planning on getting the same headunit. I have a 10th gen hatch. Do you recommend just changing the back up cam the same time i install the headunit?
The joying videos on their webpage don’t show bypassing a module for the reception. Does the newest one not have to do that. Did you replace one with the factory amp?
Does this backup camera allow for the 3 different angles? I know on my stock 10th gen civic the backup camera has the 3 different angles including the above angle which is great for parallel parking.
I can’t remember. I think it did. This video shows the OEM backup camera with the joying unit if you want to see. ruclips.net/video/t3bAxOSbsjs/видео.html

@Sals_Garage you didn't understand the question. The question is can you cut the oem camera which we already know works, from the oem harness, and attach the new camera to it so it all appears oem.

Great video hubby!💖💖 love the new HD back up camera!
Thanks wifey. Did it for you 😊
I saw your bmw m3 at the parking lot today its amazing😮
Wow that’s awesome! Are you the one with the BimmerFan license plate?
Good job... OEM should be installing HD cameras
Thanks! I agree 👍

Nice, yes I recommend installing together. Joying forgot my backup cam order so I had to do it separately.
Hi I have the hatch too, is the wiring the same to get to the camera from the hatchback?
@@brandonkwan9953 probably, but I don’t know for sure. Good luck 👍
Have you ever thought to change the lane watch camera?
@@KristofferLiquigan I didn’t think it was possible. That’s a good idea since it’s super useless on an HD screen upgrade.
Honda stock cameras get dirty real easily. I’m a try some nano repellent on the lenses. Truley it just needs a new angle adjustment
Thanks for sharing. Hope it works.
you can buy plate light camera holder to make it look like factory
Thx for the tip 👍
Is there a specific one to buy

Yea, my civic has the factory amp. Not sure if this is the same procedure on non factory amp.
Can you use the air condition / heater controls with that information unit please ?
Thank 👍 you!
Yes! ruclips.net/video/t3bAxOSbsjsy/видео.htmlws
I wonder if youd be able to retrofit this new reverse cam lens into the oem mount
I could if I can figure out how to remove the OEM camera.
@Sals_Garage it's not hard to remove and you could have installed the new one in its place.
You think this could work if for the lane watch camera?
It could if there is an upgraded lanewatch camera for civics. Otherwise this method could work but you would need to attach the new camera separately
I don’t have that extra wire to connect the green wire to
Contact Joying. They forget things. They forgot the backup camera when I bought mine. They sent me one when I contacted them.
I have the same head unit but I don’t have a wire with a Chinese sticker on it.
Contact Joying via email and ask them for a diagram or use the included instruction manual. Good luck 👍

That’s a good question for Joying. I haven’t used or seen that feature.
Any update to this?
Is there a video for a camera install on a hatchback manual?
Sorry I don’t know of any at this time. Good luck 👍
I figured it out. Thanks though
