Can you make an update on this video? Since it’s been a year. How have you liked it? How is it working? Any glitches or bugs or just any annoying things about the head unit?
I’ve had this head unit for about 3 months now and I love it. My biggest complaint is the built in mic sucks, and the external mic they give sucks too. At least with my unit…Everyone says I sound really far away. I’ll just buy a better external mic eventually. Just letting you guys know about the mic.
I just brought honda Civic Coupe from my friend it has 90,000 miles, and I paid 5,000 . I'm enjoying my new ride. Loving that new radio upgrade this is a must have. Thanks
I've had this exact model installed on my 2017 Civic for 18 months now. Do NOT buy it. The screen glitches out constantly. I haven't had a working screen in the past three weeks. It initally started glitching at month 7. I reached out to customer support and they suggested I check the cables. I took the device out of my dashboard and reinstalled it. It worked like new for three weeks then started going purple again. The next phase was plaid lines through everything. Eventually the volume knob would make it go louder no matter which way you turned it. Now the screen is either plaid, bright white or solid black. I really liked it at first. Now I'm constantly reminded that saving some $$ caused me WAY more trouble and I'll have to replace it.
This might be the best head unit so far. My issue with most aftermarket ones is the lack of volume knob since controlling the volume with touch sucks. Also scared that i might loose access to some settings/features that could be overlooked in the settings, things like reorganizing the order of info panels in the gauge cluster.
Great video. You've made my purchase decision a lot easier. Does the vehicle maintenance info actually work? I've read reviews of similar joying units that maintenance info, compass and dynamic rear camera guidelines don't work. I've reached out to Joying but I would appreciate it if you an comment on the following: Driver Assist System Settings, Keyless Access Setup, Lighting Setup and Door Window Setup. I couldn't see some of these options in this video.
Great guide with the installation and usage. Especially the Android Auto, Apple Auto, wired and bluetooth, and camera interface. Not alot of videos cover that and it is quite important to me. Great Job. I'm sold. p.s. lag with your old unit also sucks, glad this one is better
Head unit is missing one key feature with being able to be used with a sim card and that is the ability to become a hotspot for kids tablets. really would make that 400 price tag not hurt so much.
There are akt of mixed reviews on the longevity of these Android aftermarket radios. Majority of people say they stop working after a year or so. How long have you have yours?
Head units have a 2 year warranty and so far the unit has been good imo. I have after market audio and it sounds great. I'm not too sure how it sounds without lc2
@@lambo4677 I'm not too sure honestly. I went to get it professionally install. I want to say they wired the speakers to the wiring harness up front then we used RCA cables from the amp to the lc2i. I ended up disconnecting the LC2i and used the RCA outputs instead but I do however get a noise from the outputs. Might reconnect the Lc2i back.
I own the EX 2020 model. I wish it had wireless Carplay but 10th Gen use Android 4. The 11th gen uses Android Auto system instead. The only issue this entertainment system has is the screen size. They shouldn't had made it so tall the screen. It blocks half of the AC vent and the emergency button.
I've literally been looking for a used Civic Touring just because I want the best stereo. I could care less about all the extra tech I'd be paying for. I'd probably turn all those features off anyway. I could save alot of money buying an EX and doing this instead. I'm more interested in having better speakers and subwoofer tho. Have you changed those? Have you had any issues since you installed this head unit? Really good video and glad Google recommended it when I looked up "aftermarket stereo for Civic"

(I even tried changing the car model, and found the setting on the crv model, but it didn't work) Now I have to click once to open driver door, and second time for 3 other doors and trunk. 3.Can't change the Icons in the Instrument Cluster, you get only standard screens and that's it, The turbo screen, Maintenance screen, fuel consumption screen, avg fuel and thats it. 4. All the steering wheel buttons work, But the answer button has a seriously annoying function, When you're not in a call, and you press the answer button, It calls the last person you spoke to. I clicked it by mistake last week at 5 a.m , good thing I hung up quickly lol. (There's no way to cancel that, I've asked Joying themselves ) 5. The reverse camera looks a little worse, not really bothering me, But since there's a better resolution screen, the same reverse camera seems a little worse.
