Get a container that will hold the kerosene and a old sink that will drain to the container, add a strainer so parts don't get washed down the drain, add a parts washing brush. And your ready to go. Holy cow you need a parts washer! Especially with the volume of rebuilding you do. That front diff will never last. So much grit and grime was left behind. Can't just use brake cleaner and wipe it down with a rag. That does not get all the grit and grime out of all the little recess.
That stuff will come loose, when mixed with the new oil and grind all those gears and bearings up. Cleanliness is godliness when it comes to rebuilding stuff like. A good parts washer is cheap compared to redoing it....

Def need a parts washer! But next time when you’re putting the rollers in the basket, a little trick a fellow youtuber taught. Use 2 - girls hair ties, they fit around them perfectly to hold them all in and set in and roll them up as you lower it. Hope that helps for future projects. Fairly new sub, question also, do you use a repair manual for torq specs and assembly when it comes to engine work?

Great video but you should get santa to buy you a parts washer, think that would be a great addition to your shop. Merry Christmas.

Brake clean, ultrasonic, evaporust are your friends. Let these things work for you while you do other things. The job on the diff could have been a touch better.

I would have pressure washed that machine before installing the plastics.😊

Yup - the radiators/coolers needed to be cleaned before the plastics were installed. It's tough to reject heat through caked-on mud.

Better to put the seals in the freezer rather than trying to heat the differential up. Just work fast.

What about the pinon bearing o the differential. It sees a higher speed than the drive axle bearings. Also maybe its just the pictures but the parts didn't look very clean, and the sound of the parts going together seemed like an abrasive was on them, like dirt.

  • @lukefortin9616

I did not like the amount of dirt that went back into the build. That is not like you. You should invest in a parts washer and also power wash the motor and stuff.
