I used to carry a dji action 2 cam on it no worries i miss it alot. 5" is good too nazgul would be your best bet if u did for a bind n fly option.
Hey Joshua. Apply fakeHD with the root hack. It makes all your OSD super sexy and a lot smaller. You can also drop a custom font on your SD card too. There are links in the WTF discord chat for them.

Watch Chris Rosser's PID tuning tutorial for full details but the short version is, if you're using RPM filtering, that provides enough filtering that you can usually get away with turning off gyro 1. Basically, gyro 1 is there for situations where somebody can't use RPM filtering, but it's not confident enough to automatically turn it off, so they leave it on even when RPM filtering is active. But most of the time it's not needed in that situation.
6:02 "how hard was that" LOL i say that too, ELRS is EASYYY. Till i attempted switching from 2.0 to 3.0.1. Quad and TX had same bind phrase and refused to bind. Devs couldnt help me, so i went back to 2.5.1 and its workin normally

Great video, as always. Sad to see you don't use real flight controllers, but not everybody can fly Kiss I suppose ;) In all seriousness, kiss greatly lacks hardware options. Betaflight, by far, has a tremendous amount more options for hardware. I've got betaflight / cleanflight / triflight stuff, and kiss stuff. I can't fathom how anyone flies betaflight and kiss and decides to fly beta over kiss. It is far superior, to my senses.
Should you load presets on a bind and fly? Also, I am searching for that jb video where he explains that feature in betaflight that basically uses angle mode to correct your quad for a second when you bump something. Anyone remember what that is called?
And the end when testing the arming, turtle mode, beeper, etc., you said you think you forgot something… I think that would be a good time to test the failsafe. Or do we not check that anymore? lul

My vista never asked me to activate. I was able to update the software. What does that mean? Did it registered the product to my email automatically? If not, how to do I force it?

Hi Joshua, I have a Hakrc f4126 20a (blue board). It came with 4.3.1, flies so-so. Problem is, this board doesn't support bi-dshot. Blheli and bluejay cannot detect the esc with batt on. Is that even possible for a new board?
@@JoshuaBardwell There is no 3.0 build, Happy Model didn't confer with the elrs devs and no 3.0 support. Happy Model built their own 2.0 to support the button and display on the back. If I plunk someone else's 3.0 there would be no support for the stuff on the back.
Great video! I’ve been having issues with dji freezing up or just dropping video lately. Using wtfos, using 0606 fw and it’s happened with several builds. Lost a quad bc of it, was able to retrieve it weeks later at least. Really bad situations can happen when this happens…
@@JoshuaBardwell I always have it powered by vbat, never exclude a cap of course. But it’s good knowing there’s not been bugs causing this with wtfos. Much appreciate your reply, take care brother 👊👊
You can run rpm filtering on 24khz fine, infact it helps on standard esc's like older 8bit for propwash as there is better braking power of the motors and the blheli_S esc's don't have variable pwm by rpm.
How did you succeeded to put the 3.01 firmware on the EP1 through wifi ? I have the exact same setup and it just tells me "not enough storage" with the exact same method (2.8 worked though) and people online are saying that we need to go through the USB method to avoid this problem

Dumb as ca ca with this stuff. Am an expert with other occupations, machining, welding, master well driller MD. 30 years. Have never needed computers, printing out bills. Microsoft is just too many things to learn for my feeble mind

I've never used a smoke stopper personally. I just check continuity between the battery leads lol never failed me yet.
Same. I use a multimeter on all my soldered pads to make sure there isn't continuity .
Josua Bardwell had one video where he explained why just using multimeter might not be enough
@@rfly-fpv sure for very specific and rare situations. But for 95% of things, it’s fine. No continuity means no shorts = no fire. Simple
Same here. I've been building since 2015 and have never had a short. I check for continuity on all my solder pads as well as the battery lead.

I do the tx 8 channel thing first . Then the crossfire button thing and rssi , followed by betaflight , and that thottle percrnt thing in osd .

My goggles are already rooted. I don't need to root them again when I build a new quadcopter.

I have heard of a few boards that don't support Bluejay but I don't really know why
Is Happy Model going to update the up to 1w controller module to 3.x from 2.0?
I have no idea if it will start shipping with 3.x but you'll always want to update it as soon as you get it regardless.

That's almost always an issue with the power supply to the vTX. I'm not aware of any known bugs with WTFOS that cause it.

I just do continuity checks and look close at solder joints. I also never smoked one and don't have fancy smoke stoppers or what not
