I've seen lots of people bash on Shin because he's "ugly" and "weird" while completely missing that: THAT'S THE POINT!!! Shin is INTENDED to be a terrifying, horrible, disgusting, repulsive, unsettling, uncanny, and in-human monster. Even if you think he looks cool or badass or nice, his main purpose is to insteal disgust, fear and awe. He's not a heroic or cool monster like other Godzillas. He's a scary, wild and "evil" Godzilla like the original from the first ever movie.
One Particularly Smart Ape exactly. Shin was created by a horror movie director after all. He’s supposed to look like a beast that got mutated to unknowable lengths. Something akin to Japanese horror is how alien the creatures look.
@@territoriesoflegreaterbrit8877 I love Shin's design too. It's just so unsettling and terrifying. None of that regal and dignified demeanor of the ones we're used to.
The one thing I love about Shin Godzilla is the fact that they went as far as Toho permitted to make this movie as realistic as possible. They even got the aura of radiation right. You know how "The Simpsons" always featured Springfield's Nuclear Power Plant having a radioactive green glow? Only found in cartoons. So this comes from a cousin of mine who works at a nuclear power plant (at least until they shut down the final reactor): radiation genuinely glows in a violet color.

Legendary Godzilla : Uses Atomic Breath. Shin Godzilla : Oh, you think radiation is your ally. But you merely adopted the radiation; I was born in it, moulded by it. I didn't feel the earth under my feet until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but HURTING!!!
I saw some fan art and loved it Basically since its an alien, the same way godzilla its a radiation monster, he would have an other worldly appearance, i like to think its first form would be like bacteria from a meteorite, it would evolve into line a parasitic plant that would syphon energy from animals and other plants, then it would evolve to grow teeth and reproduce like actual animals based on the animals it had already eaten (wich for the sake of making it look similar to og ghidora would be sharks, a reptile like a crocodile, probably octopuses and carnivorus plants to let it have múltiple heads) at the very end it would get human dna and a single seemingly human baby would be left among the rotting corpse of the old monster...
And I think that was point. My personal view on it is that Shin being a tragic being is comparable to the event that spawned the movie, being the 2011 Fukushima disaster. It was a tragic event. Meanwhile the 1954 Godzilla is one that we should be scared of, due to the terrifying power and after effects of nuclear bombs. One was a disaster and tragic event, while the other was weapon that could destroy all life. This is my interpretation at least, although I probably didn’t do the best job at explaining myself
@A Modern Dodo I would agree, but I can't. He existed in the first place due to humanity's negligence. All those damages and dead people? Justified imo.
@A Modern Dodo yes. I agree they don't have anything to do with the nuclear mismanagement. But if it taught the government to be more careful with nuclear wastes, a little bit of collateral damage here and there is ok.
11:15 This moment is AMAZING. The fact that they let you look through the drone's perspective is just really nice, and the glow you see before losing signal is just creepy AF.

Mike Phelps I DONT think they should do a sequel. I think they should start up a multiverse and have different versions of the “Toho Four,” in a Shin-like feel.

Wait, I just realized! What if a diver was down there on an investigation with the waste right as godzilla was mutating, and they merged once they mutated!? That would explain the tail head's human jaws and the half-human hybrids, and why Shin Godzilla has the texture of rubber, from the probably rubber diver suit! I know, outlandish, but it's a possibility! EDIT: I completely forgot about the "guy in the yacht" part! Now it makes even MORE sense! (Thx for reminding me btw, guys!)
The rubber skin probably because for consideration that Japan audience already accustomed with rubber suit Godzilla from long times. If the design and animation are more like the america counterparts, they are feared if Shin Godzilla will be hated because they are seeing something new that are not usual. I was surprised too, I thought Shin Godzilla is a rubber suit. They did a good job in animating this CG Godzilla to look like a rubber costume.
What if the bones of 1954 gojira mixed with radiation and the oxygen destroyer failed to fully kill both but merge so that could be the 1954/old showa roars and the pain it looks like he is in and the gojipeople and the 2 form looking like in pain red blood and also the finds out about new ability when needed style like a human and sorry I bad at typing:/
TL;DR : The hate for the movie and Shin Goji comes down to ignorance brought on by cultural barriers. There's a reason why it was a major hit in Japan, whilst met with a lukewarm response here. For more detail, keep reading. I can understand if you don't want to read the whole thing, but I highly encourage you to do so, especially if you disagree. The more I look at comments and videos complaining about the design of Shin Goji, or the movie itself, the more I've come to realize that a lot of the hate for all of it comes down to people either complaining about his deign, or the plot and pacing of the movie. Or more accurately, I realized that they're pretty much missing the point. Don't get me wrong, it's fine to personally dislike both, but to complain about them, and hold them to a standard that it was never trying to achieve, is quite silly. Let's start with his design. A gross, mutated abomination that looks like it's been hit with an atom bomb? Skin is radiated, and looks like the original body as almost been melted down to the bone? Um....sound familiar? Yes. His design is the most accurate personification of the horrors seen in survivors from the bombing of Japan in WWII thus far, continuing the concept originally introduced for Godzilla in 1954. Most complaints are that he's too ugly, or disturbing. He's supposed to look like that. I doubt that many of the complainers have actually seen videos on the mutations survivors have suffered since that bombing, or even realize that there are consequences from it that rear its ugly head to this day! Here in the West, we look at Godzilla, see his charcoal black skin, and merely see it as a design. It carries no real emotional weight with us besides nostalgia...which is why you'll see people endlessly complain about his "design" and "power"between films as if that's the most important thing. It isn't. We complain about so many trivial things and miss the entire point of his existence. For japan, Godzilla represents a horrific time long past, that still has a devastating effect today. So in reality? His charcoal black skin? It's representative of the damage suffered by nuclear radiation and burns. It's not to make him look cool. It's symbolism. His atomic breath? The consequence of that attack, the anger, and the monstrous legacy it left behind. A symbolism of atomic destruction. So when it comes to Shin Goji, they pulled no punches with that symbolism. So the people in the West who dislike him and find his design horrible, offensive, and disturbing? Well, that's the point. He's supposed to offend you, He's supposed to look disgusting. That's the point. That's why I laugh when people say that Legendary Goji is more "true" to Godzilla's roots, mainly reciting his in-universe origins of being a mutated dinosaur...no..you missed the point! That's just a plot device! Legendary Goji represents the icon that Godzilla has become, while Shin Goji represents the symbolism which spawned his creation. So in actuality, Shin Goji is the most accurate Godzilla after the 1954 version. Legendary Goji is exactly what he's said to be: an American take on Godzilla. He was made to appeal to western audiences, and to cater to our type of storytelling. It's actually quite ingenious when you think about it. Now, they've unknowingly fixed the aforementioned issue- Toho's Godzilla will no longer be subject to cultural barriers in the west, because we have our own Godzilla now. Kinda sad when you think about it, as we should be more active in understanding their culture, and their symbolism behind the creature, but I guess Godzilla will at least have a presence here? Yay? As for the film, it's another thing that continues to be misunderstood, and endlessly compared to the American films, and even the Toho films after the 1954 film. People forget: This is a return to Godzilla's symbolic roots, albeit with a modern twist. Instead of the horrors of The WWII bombings, it now hits another sensitive blow to Japan's own government, and how there's a big problem with the government's effectiveness there. In the film, it is shown that their incompetence not only resulted in the unknowing creation of Godzilla, but the eventual devastation of the city due to their indecisiveness, and lack of action. That was the central theme of the film: The government stepping up, and taking action. The people of Japan uniting and being better moving forward. There are also some hidden comedic elements in the film too, but I'll get to that later. It's so funny how that simple plot, theme, and message went over the heads of so many people. For what Shin Goji was trying to convey, it did perfectly. It did so perhaps to well in some instances, causing some weird pacing, but all of those instances did have explanations in film to somewhat compensate for it. However, like Shin Goji himself, the film suffers from cultural differences and barriers. If you don't know much about Japanese culture, modern or otherwise, you'll most likely complain about how stupid the government seems in the film, missing the fact that...it's the point. For this reason, even that simple detail resonates much more with Japanese viewers than western viewers. Goes right over our heads. This is why I brought up the hidden comedic elements, especially at the beginning of the film. Did you notice how many meetings they had from the moment Godzilla's tail surfaced, until they FINALLY scrambled their jets? And how Godzilla had already mutated twice (once off-screen) by then? That was the joke. They had one meeting, concluded the meeting, THEN went to ANOTHER room to start ANOTHER meeting on the same subject! And this happens multiple times! Hilarious, depressing, and accurate at the same time. The entire tone of the film was conveyed as tense, dark, and dreary. However, there was always an underlying tone of sarcasm as it was clearly mocking the Japanese government. Personally, as someone who's really informed on Japanese culture, Godzilla, and their type of cinematography and storytelling in general: I loved it. Because it made sense. To the average Western viewer...not so much. I tried an experiment just to test my theory. I watched the movie with two different groups of Godzilla fans. With one group, I didn't explain anything about the movie, and didn't go out of my way to explain the symbolism, etc. Aside from one or two people in that group..they hated it. And guess what? Those two people had the same amount of knowledge as I. For the second group, I explained what the point was before and during some earlier parts of the film so that they'd know what to look for- Instant hit with the entire group. They laughed at the right parts, and completely appreciated the more symbolic elements once I explain the basis of the film. Once I did the same for the first group as well, we watched the film again, and they actually really liked it. In closing, I think that people are being too harsh on the film due to cultural ignorance. It is entirely possible to be completely aware of this, and dislike the film on more educated and reasonable grounds, but to attack the film without even realizing what you're saying, is ridiculous. Some people have tried to counter this by saying: Well a good film should be able to cater to all audiences without the viewer having to do more research on it." Here's the fallacy in that argument: It's an entirely different culture. Would you tell that to American film-makers who have the same issue of their critically-acclaimed films in the west being panned in Japan due to cultural differences? I doubt it, because that's ridiculous. On top of that, the poor presentation of the dub doesn't help. So then, the western viewer would have to watch the subbed version, further alienating them, from the film as well. If they didn't get it before, they certainly won't get it now. Of course every Japanese film doesn't suffer that to this degree, but there will always be a loss of translation to western audiences when it comes to Japanese work. Just look at the Dragon Ball franchise, where Goku has two completely different personalities between his western and Japanese portrayals, and now the Dragon Ball Super is accurately presenting his Japanese character in the west, people pretty much hate Goku now, saying that "that's not like Goku at all!" Well...it is. It always was. You're just used to the Americanized version of Goku. As it is with Godzilla.
Everyone loved the Heisei era which brought back Godzilla to his destructive intentions to start off a new series but everyone else gave Shin flack. I knew the movie was going to be a success but winning awards was astounding to me. The movie really tells us about the horrid hardships of well Japan itself with Godzilla obviously being the major center focus of replicating those tragedies. The hate is just annoying to read and how much they despise the design which I really like it's not one of my personal favorite designs but the overall feel and look is cool.
Jokes on those haters, I knew better since I knew Japanese media tends to use symbolism to the nth degree. Well most of it, some of it just involves naked men and fans. (Kinda wish America was just as bold) I actually like the design as a symbolic concept given Japan's history. Same with the in universe politics reflecting reality to an extent. It's also the first movie I know of that explained the economic ramifications of kaiju attacks. May have less body count, but economically speaking Shin Gojira decimated Japan far worse than physical destruction. Sure we make jokes about Japan recovering from kaiju attacks with insane speed, but we never considered how disasters actually impact the economy of a country. Also, kudos on that experiment of yours. Not a lot of people have that time to do so. So you got some respect from me as far as I'm concerned. Its never easy doing tests like that without a team of experts.
Ummm, not to be a jack@$$ here, but the main complaints I heard were the bad characters and that Godzilla had no personality outside of "Ow! You shot at me, now I shoot at you! BWAAAAH! OK I'm tired now." But then again that was just from two RUclipsrs.
One of my favorite Godzilla designs ever. I Don't care about the hate it got cuz i like it's design, evolutionary concept and him being a literal abomination against humanity. I bought into all of that and it couldn't have done better without Hideaki Anno (sorry for messing up his name)
he was going to transform into his most powerful form a council the whole movie was a jab at how the Japanese responded to disasters such as the nuclear disaster in Japan
Truly a nightmarish godzilla. To have eyes and fangs just sprouted all over his flesh and body reveals what a true atomic nightmare Shin Godzilla was truly made out to be.
This Godzilla is terrifying to me not because of everything you described, but also because his appearance reminds me of that ugly looking large scab i had on my arm when i injured myself.

There’s something I noticed about Shin Godzilla. Almost every other incarnation of Godzilla can clearly control it’s breath. But Shin can’t. Look at his position, it’s almost like he’s vomiting. You combine that with all the radiation and the mutations, the creature has to be in constant, *excruciating* pain. It’s horrifying honestly.

I’d argue this Godzilla is not only the most Destructive but the most Powerful (other than Godzilla Earth) due to its Radioactive nature without being in a Burning form and due to him Evolving at a Rapid Rate
@@SaurianStudios1207 Just gonna throw this out there, Legendary Godzilla survived a meteor as well, in the prequel graphic novel (which was confirmed to be canon to the series) Godzilla was chasing another monster for years before a meteor was shown to land either on or near him, and that was in the precambrian era around 250 million years ago but it has been theorized he may be even older due to the radiation required for him to grow.
I always loved how primal they made Godzilla look in this film. He wasn’t majestic, or an awesome force of nature, here he’s just a force of pure primal destruction with a dash of body horror and intense revulsion.
Shin Godzilla is a really good design that represents the destruction by the events it’s based on quite well, but I’ll be honest. He’s scary. And a bit ugly.
Honestly, while I have never seen the movie and spoiled myself beyond belief, I find this version of Godzilla to be a breath of fresh air. It's a look back at his original concept from the 50s and amplified in terms of terror and despair. It's a new look at the nuclear fallout consequence of humanity. His design is 10x scarier, his abilities are far more deadly, and the hints of his pain in one of the soundtrack themes really play a good part in his existence. He was an accidental mutation from nuclear waste dumping. He is confused and perhaps scared while also constantly adapting rapidly. I bet he didn't even have intention in that kind of destruction. He just happened. And the horror of his adapting abilities definitely go on a larger scale when considering the humanoids on his tail as well as "proto-zilla" from the deleted scene of his dorsal fin piece replicating certain body parts on its own. Then there are the hidden concepts of his next forms that were meant to take place all the way to becoming some kind of omnipotent being entirely toward the end from mutating and evolving so much. It's even more horrifying to think about considering that these concepts were made with the help of a worker of Evangelion. I love Shin Godzilla more than even Legendary Godzilla and that really is saying a lot. I love everything about him and he brings me so much dread whenever I see his forms while allowing me to sympathize with his existence altogether. He is a walking mutation with so much tragedy around him.
Can you keep the old versions of these videos up? You privated the original video, and while inferior, I have many found memories watching that one and all of your old ones. Thanks in advance.
As much as I'd love to see a continuation or sequel, I think Shin Godzilla can stand alone and stand as one of the best films in the entire franchise. They brought Godzilla back to his roots and updated him to a truly horrifying degree. The final shot of the humanoid creatures is haunting and fantastic

Godzilla's second form is legitimately the derpiest and most terrifying thing I've ever seen. I'll admit I laughed out loud when I first saw his appearance, but I also thought, "Damn, if I saw that thing crawling down the street towards me..." and shivered. It looks so silly at first glance, but the more you look at it the more you realize there's something so alien and unsettling about the dead look in its eyes, the way it spews hot blood from its sides as it crawls along on its belly... and then you see the path of destruction it leaves in its wake, and suddenly it's not so cute and funny anymore but this horrifying, uncomprehending, unstoppable force of chaos. I have no idea how the filmmakers managed to pull off this duality so well, but they seriously nailed it.
1:50 if shin lost all his radiation he would look exactly like that exactly like kamata kun but with larger arms and smaller eyes and a normal fish tail well that’s what I think
To think that, theoretically , from a SINGLE cell of ShinGoji , a hole new creature, if not a hole new Godzilla, could arise is ... well, both terrifying and ,at the same time, fascinating. It's like if you took The Thing and The Flood from Halo, combined them togheter, and made it look like Godzilla....errr. Very unique and cool incarnation ,to say the least. Also continue the great work Wikizilla, you guys are awsome:)
IIRC, they said that while it could regenerate, it would probably take something much bigger than a single cell to mutate into a new Godzilla - such as the dorsal plate blown off by the MOP-2s.
My favorite incarnation of the character next to Millenium, I only wish the whole ‘little godzillas sprouting from its flesh’ part got to be explored a bit more. Perhaps a sequel?
If there was a sequel considering what the first movie left at the end it would be so unique of a Godzilla movie it could not be considered one. And the 5th form is so human and xeno morph like I can’t even call him Godzilla
Nah the ambiguity is what makes it unique, you need to extrapolate your own meaning of it. Like that and the end of evangelion. Not everything needs to be totally fleshed out. Although i did like the idea of "if godzilla was defeated by a commitee than he'll become a commitee."
A short update: Shin Godzilla has been dethroned as the tallest live-action Godzilla. The MonsterVerse Godzilla's height has been increased to 119.8 meters for _Godzilla: King of the Monsters._ Shin Godzilla is now only the second-tallest live-action Godzilla, the third-tallest Godzilla to appear in a movie, and the fourth-tallest known Godzilla overall. (The 2019 Godzilla's weight is 99,634 tons, presumably U.S. tons as is the case with Godzilla 2014 - converted to metric tons, that would be less than Shin Godzilla.)
I think I know what the 5th form is supposed to be remember how in the movie they said that earth would be overrun by a horde of Godzillas if shin Godzilla wasn't stopped in his 3rd form well I think the humaniod creatures aka the 5th form is supposed to be showing the other Godzillas shin Godzilla would make
Cool now could we get a film where we see him Monsterverse Godzilla, Spacegodzilla, an new or existing version of classic Godzillia, and Mechagodzilla all duke it out to the death? It's time to decide who is the true King of the Monsters!
First time im seeing the movie of godzilla that makes me laugh, why? I though its just joke cause why the hell did the mighty gojira turn into a massive amphibious freak monster with a gills that can kind looks like a massive form of ribs
Shin godzilla firing atomic breath because over heath, and try to pooping out all the radiation, So unlike other godzilla, he is in pain when he is firing atomiv breath
the thing about shin godzilla, is that he is a return to form with godzilla and, like the originals, is an antagonist, whose concept was brought on by fears of radiation after a disaster.
One of my favorite versions of Godzilla, he's unique, tragic and down right terrifying. I felt like the sympathetic side of Godzilla had been lost in recent years so it was great to see them bring it back along with making him scary again.
I love how the movie leave the audience on a cold note knowing that humanity could have taken over the world in that universe the people need to find a way to actually kill Godzilla. Remember godzilla evolves like a normal creature but faster like when he learned how to destroy planes by his back lasers so he would have to create his own community that can surpass our community witch was the reason why he made humanoid clones.
Ambitious, absolutely horrifying, well done. I don't really care about godzilla really, but even so I applaud the boldness of changing so much, even though it borrows elements of horror like the Thing and resident evil, applying those things to something as huge and iconic as godzilla is something I've never considered before. I love the ending oh my god, freezing him just as he's morphing into a new form straight out Dante's Inferno, with tons of eerily humanoid features? Splendid! The question remains, what on earth was about to happen next, and how many forms would he go through if given the chance?
Lord Kaiju X Just because most people hate Shin Godzilla doesn't make them Toxic, everyone has opinions. I liked both Shin and Legendary at the same time.
@A Modern Dodo with your logic you should be persecuted for the deaths of thousands of innocent insects that you walk over every time you walk outside? The point is when he first came out he wasn't aware of the damage he was causing and only deliberately started killing humans once they were deemed a threat. He's literally an animal, a different species to us, he doesn't know our moral system and is just as much of a victim as the innocent people killed. You also have to remember he came into existence because of the toxic waste dumped in the ocean, so the ones who should be arrested are the ones who did the dumping to begin with and created this monstrosity. This film kind of serves as a warning too; lazy and illegal dumping of toxic material lead to the creation of a horrendously deformed creature that was in constant pain, which lead to the unintentional deaths of hundreds of innocents. Like, you're taking this film way too seriously and the fact that you feel the need to comment this everywhere shows you completely missed the point of the film and is just... :/

Shin Godzilla is a tragedy on 2 fronts: the human's indecision and helplessness, and the identity crisis of Shin. The human conflict is pretty obvious throughout and seen by every reviewer under the sun, but the identity crisis of Shin is only truly stated by a few people who were paying attention. The song "Who will know" is a pretty succinct summation of the inner conflict of Shin and the ultimately reluctant accepting of Shin's title: God Incarnate. Shin's existence is bleeding with pain, pain from moving, pain from breathing, pain from evolution, pain from existing. Every movement seems difficult, as if Shin is struggling with every modicum of it's existence. Shin even appears to vomit its Atomic Breath more so than the typical beam attack at first. Shin is a fish too big for its pond, trying to survive on its own terms, yet the humans who created it only want its death. Its roars are more akin to screaming than they are to the typical aggressive yelling. "Who will know"'s 2 voices are the inner conflict coming to a resolution: the creature Shin, and the monster Godzilla. Both want to live, and the only path apparent to both is to become Shin Godzilla and destroy everything, even if Shin doesn't want to. An animal turned abomination, called monster, made destroyer, then decided Godzilla.
Yes, I also agree there's a human/monster duality to Gojira as shown by the parentheticals in "Who Will Know?" I believe Goro Maki somehow became part of Gojira.

@@AxleTrade I think he is cool
@@territoriesoflegreaterbrit8877 I love Shin's design too. It's just so unsettling and terrifying. None of that regal and dignified demeanor of the ones we're used to.
People are a bunch of dumbasses sometimes. He is truly a god incarnate.
why
The one thing I love about Shin Godzilla is the fact that they went as far as Toho permitted to make this movie as realistic as possible. They even got the aura of radiation right. You know how "The Simpsons" always featured Springfield's Nuclear Power Plant having a radioactive green glow? Only found in cartoons. So this comes from a cousin of mine who works at a nuclear power plant (at least until they shut down the final reactor): radiation genuinely glows in a violet color.
It depends on the energy level of the radiation.
Nuclear power plants usually have a bluish glow from the Cherenkov radiation in the nuclear rod pools

Basically its name should be god of creepiness

Basically since its an alien, the same way godzilla its a radiation monster, he would have an other worldly appearance, i like to think its first form would be like bacteria from a meteorite, it would evolve into line a parasitic plant that would syphon energy from animals and other plants, then it would evolve to grow teeth and reproduce like actual animals based on the animals it had already eaten (wich for the sake of making it look similar to og ghidora would be sharks, a reptile like a crocodile, probably octopuses and carnivorus plants to let it have múltiple heads) at the very end it would get human dna and a single seemingly human baby would be left among the rotting corpse of the old monster...

He seems more like a tragic being instead of a down right evil one.

Wait, I just realized! What if a diver was down there on an investigation with the waste right as godzilla was mutating, and they merged once they mutated!? I know, outlandish, but it's a possibility!

Some people have tried to counter this by saying: Well a good film should be able to cater to all audiences without the viewer having to do more research on it."
Here's the fallacy in that argument: It's an entirely different culture.
Just look at the Dragon Ball franchise, where Goku has two completely different personalities between his western and Japanese portrayals, and now the Dragon Ball Super is accurately presenting his Japanese character in the west, people pretty much hate Goku now, saying that "that's not like Goku at all!"
Well...it is.
(Kinda wish America was just as bold)
I actually like the design as a symbolic concept given Japan's history.

Why Do People Hate this Godzilla? But Honestly Think he Look's really Good.
I think that they made Godzilla more scary in this movie like he was in the Original
Shin is probably my favorite Godzilla design
Shin Godzilla is a really good design that represents the destruction by the events it’s based on quite well, but I’ll be honest.
He’s scary.
And a bit ugly.
I think those nasty teeth are helping to make it scary
Teeth are great, body and tail is great. Eyes, arms, and back and tail firing lazer beams are a no for most
Honestly, while I have never seen the movie and spoiled myself beyond belief, I find this version of Godzilla to be a breath of fresh air.

My favorite incarnation of the character next to Millenium, I only wish the whole ‘little godzillas sprouting from its flesh’ part got to be explored a bit more. Perhaps a sequel?
Yeah...maybe they could do their own trilogy?

I felt like the sympathetic side of Godzilla had been lost in recent years so it was great to see them bring it back along with making him scary again.
I love how the movie leave the audience on a cold note knowing that humanity could have taken over the world in that universe the people need to find a way to actually kill Godzilla. Remember godzilla evolves like a normal creature but faster like when he learned how to destroy planes by his back lasers so he would have to create his own community that can surpass our community witch was the reason why he made humanoid clones.
shin godzilla: HEY GUYS! IM GOING HAVE AN ARMY OF HUMAN ALIENS JUST BY MY TAIL NAMED JACK!
Splendid! @A Modern Dodo dude why the hell are you giving death threats to a fictional giant lizard ? I saw all of your other comments
@A Modern Dodo it's kinda pointless don't you think ?
@A Modern Dodo he’s not even trying to justify it, he’s just stating a fact that is in the narrative

I notice that about the vomiting as well! That's such a telling detail. Agree.
Yes, I also agree there's a human/monster duality to Gojira as shown by the parentheticals in "Who Will Know?"
I believe Goro Maki somehow became part of Gojira.
