The MonsterVerse Godzilla is easily one of my favorite versions of the character and a solid reason as to why the MonsterVerse itself is my favorite film universe. Absolutely phenomenal work you guys. Can’t wait to see Kong’s profile.
Godzilla 2014 was the first time I ever saw Godzilla and I didn’t start getting into Kaiju until about 2019-ish. Gonna have to rewatch it and see if it still stands out and become my third favourite Godzilla film with the other two being GVK and Final Wars
Godzilla (2014) is still imo the best American Godzilla movie, while KOTM and GvK were fun and entertaining, they can’t match the sheer hype and excitement that Godzilla 2014 built up thanks to its marketing campaign and the fact that it was the movie that had to deliver on giving us a faithful rendition of the Godzilla character and imo they did it justice. Without Godzilla 2014, there would’ve been no MonsterVerse, no Reiwa era, resurgence of kaiju eiga and Godzilla in general would’ve remained in the niche. Whether you love or hate the monsterverse Godzilla movies, they did bring in new fans and ignited interest in the franchise.
Finally, the Gman finally gets his own updated Kaiju profile. Monsterverse Godzilla is my favourite version of Godzilla, I love his Elegant Design, His feet looks awesome, originally i didn't like the Garegoji design , the Dorsal plates looked a little too small, his feet looked too much like an elephant, and he looked too fat. But i loved everything else about him, his Roar was just perfect, his atomic breath was incredible and his entrance in 2014 was Glorious. Until 2019-21 came along, that's when I fell in love with MV Goji, I loved that they made him slimmer, gave him the 1954 dorsal plates and gave him lots of personality. I love how he defends the earth similar to Showa Godzilla but remains as a deadly menace/Antihero personality like the Heisei and Millennium Godzilla. The Monsterverse did an amazing job of introducing Godzilla unlike 1998. Can't wait to see more of him in the future, keep up the great work Wikizilla.
I mean I loved the 2004 Godzilla. And am sorta glad I’m probably the inly one of one of 9 Fans. I loved the Suit’s Dark and Evil Looks as his Eyes are barely visible. As the Incarnation alone is rather slim and he is very fast and agile. He even has Heisei’s Red Spiral Breath known as ‘Hyper Spiral G Spark Heat Ray’. He seems to have ton of experience and is very powerful
It's called Legendary Godzilla not MonsterVerse Godzilla. Era of Legendary Godzilla named MonsterVerse because it will be weird to name it Legendary Era when Legendary Pictures made Legendary Godzilla. Its not hard to know that.
@@Kenany1985 legendary and monsterverse are literally the same thing genius 🙄. Legendary owns and made this version of godzilla thus that's why it's called Legendary godzilla. This same godzilla also lives in the monsterverse which is why it's called monsterverse godzilla. It's not hard to comprehend both names mean the same thing
The MonsterVerse Godzilla stands as my #1 favorite incarnation of all time, reason that it is an amalgamation of every incarnation into one - the neutral force of nature of the Heisei era, the heroic guardian monster of the Shōwa era, and the destructive punisher of several antagonistic roles from several films in the franchise - with a refined characterization, complete with enough personality to validate him as an actual character, not just a construct (which I am sick of), and a design that has every aspect of every past design mixed into one, keeping the classic look while modernizing it properly (and also cosmetically getting rid of certain elements I always thought the Titan looked better off without while embracing others that he does look better in).
@@MrAwsomeness360 Godzilla (MonsterVerse) is more of anti-hero than actual hero. He's more protector of the earth from other Titans. Godzilla doesn't actually care about the humans except some humans.
@@iandanielcassidy8126 Why are you always regurgitating the same damn information I always know all the time? I _know_ MVGoji is an anti-hero, that's my whole point: you can have him be a good guy in one movie and get away with portraying him as the bad guy in another movie. Next you're gonna tell me the Earth is round, right? News flash: I already know that too.
Fantastic profile!! The Godzilla for the modern age. Nice work explaining the confusing timeline of the tie-in comics with the movies, as well as acknowledging some of the exclusive events found in the novels. (...Also, guess I'm one of those 3 who pre-ordered GODZILLA PS4!)
Slight correction: the DougheGoji design actually has a smaller head than the GareGoji design, not bigger. The behind the scenes featurette may show them blowing up the size, but this change was regressed in the final design. If I could post an image here showing the difference, I would. The difference can be seen when comparing the models side by side in t pose. Overall though, great work on this! I love the custom music in the background!
A lot of people like to forget that it was Godzilla & Kong that saved the movie theaters from the pandemic. Even when it made its HBO max debuted the same day hours earlier. Just a fun movie.
One of my favorite G man incarnations. Props to all of you fine gentlemen for creating this large Kaiju profile. Keep up the amazing work. Can't wait for Kong's and Mothra Leo's profile to come. Long live the king
My top 3 favorite Godzillas: 1. Heisei. His son was adorable, and some of Godzilla's enemies were original, and cool looking. Not to mention his overpowered atomic weapons. 2. Legendary. Honestly, you can't beat a bipedal lizard who can dislocate a monkey's shoulder, and survive the oxygen destroyer. 3. Millennium. Granted, only 2 films in the era were connected, but overall, the Godzillas were neat.
My list: (Hard between Heisei due to it’s look and the fact that next to Earth it has possibly the widest Arsenal and I just love the Heisei Looks usually and liked the movies and my actual favourite, I’ll still go with 1) 1. FinalGoji due to it’s dark/evil look and his Eyes are hardly visible. He was very slim and capable of keeping up with agile Kaijus. Thus he had his own Red Spiral Heat Ray, but possibly more powerful with a Knockback Effects known as ‘Burning G Spark Heat Ray’ 2. Heisei 3. Millennium Godzilla (meaning 2000 and 2002- 03 Incarnations
my top list is exactly the same as yours except I don't have a third place because i don't know which of the other gojis i like more than eachother edit: now it's the same but Ultima is #1 really just because of the breath rings and loooooong tail
1. burning heisei because hes just too op (1995) 2. destroyah hes just too cool wish we could of seen more(1995) 3.kiryu probbaly cuz he just looks gangsta when i look at him i think of "You dont have to be big to be scary" (2002-2003)
I love the showa era especially when minilla was introduced, minilla was goofy and silly and also cute and adorable (for me) and his roars and his cries and his "da da" when he calls for the big G is so cute
When the design of the MonsterVerse Godzilla was revealed, admittedly I wasn’t that impressed with it but over time it grew on me and it’s now one of my all time favourite incarnations of the King of the Monsters.
I hope some of the other less used Incarnations get a more deserved re- appearance. Such as GMK and Final Wars Godzilla, Shin Godzilla, Millennium Godzilla in General
It’s honestly crazy to think that Godzilla 2014 was released about 8 yrs ago, almost a decade since the king of the monsters returned to the big screen thanks to the success of 2014’s Godzilla. Had it not been for the legendary Godzilla, there wouldn’t have been a MonsterVerse, reiwa era or a resurgence of kaiju movies. A lot has changed since late 2013/early-mid 2014.
@@Godzilla-jr5gi shin Godzilla has been the objectively best Godzilla movie since the start of the MV/Reiwa era, while the MV Godzilla movies range from good but not great (G14, GvK) to disappointing (Kotm).

The Monsterverse Goji is the one I saw as I grew from the middle of highschool to early adulthood. This Godzilla mixed old with new and stands out for having a more visible personality than the other incarnations in the last decade. The Monsterverse incarnation is my 2nd favorite, only good ol' Showa G surpasses him. Godzilla vs Kong becoming the 8th highest grossing film of 2021 is an absolute win.
Another wonderfully made trivia video about my favorite kaiju, from the Monsterverse. I really loved the intro bit with the animated models of all changes Goji went through. Cannot wait till the next video

I may be extremely late, but great video wikizilla!!! Well done on this long awaited profile of the modern era king of the monsters, *GODZILLA!!!!* you have got to give this incarnation this, he helped revitalize the long-dormant franchise back in the modern age and help breath new life for the future for both the east and the west for the better!!!! It's a fantastic time to be a Godzilla fan!!!!! Also hope you give Gigan a happy 50th birthday!!!!
Love these! Legendary g is my favourite Godzilla out of all of the 67 g's so it makes me really happy that you guys made a legendary Godzilla kaiju profile!! I'm excited for long 2017-2021!
Godzilla (Legendary) was angry at Kong’s species because they most likely killed most of his personally family. Once the axe was powered up, Big G couldn’t stand it ,for it most likely killed his family, and wanted it gone. This is proven by his roar at the axe at the end of GvK.
He may bleed, but you forgot that Godzilla can also regenerate his wounds just not as fast King Ghidorah. The regeneration factor is something that I'm glad which carried on even into Hollywood. Sure, Godzilla is mortal and feels pain, but that just shows that he's still an animal and very much alive. His stamina may not be flawless, but Godzilla still retains his unequaled strength. Look how wild he went on Kong. I count him as the most powerful creature on earth and in movie history.
Yes finally we are getting a Kaiju profile video about the Monsterverse’s King of the monsters, Godzilla or to quote Ken Watanabe "We call him, Gojira" - Dr. Ishiro Serizawa. Wikizilla, you guys out did yourself with this amazing kaiju profile and this is probably my favorite Kaiju profile video of Godzilla.
I love this Godzilla origin. While i do respect the original work of course, I really like the idea of him being ancient life from from millions of years ago.
Absolutely Awesome! This is Without a Doubt one of your best videos ever! I Got Chills in the Intro, it Also had Such an Amazing Animation, Legendary Godzilla is one of the Best Godzillas of All Times, a True Guardian of the Earth, I'm Also Writing a Godzilla Fan Fiction, I Already Had Countless Ideas But This Video Gave me Even more inspiration, Keep up the Good Work👍💪🦖
My guess for the winged Godzilla in the mural: This Godzilla subspecies alpha was eventually defeated by both the Kongs and the Godzillas (let's call them Godzillasaurus as examples) and had its wings cut off and burned to stumps due to it becoming too power hungry, evil, and destructive. As it lay dying, a group of aliens recovered it and turned it into the MonsterVerse equivalent of SpaceGodzilla, and its wings are replaced with shoulder crystals after being infused with the DNA of a silicon-based lifeform from another planet (my guess would be the MonsterVerse equivalent to Krystalak). SpaceGodzilla then "thanks" said aliens by destroying their colony and entering suspended animation, and he now lies within the Asteroid Belt, ready to invade Earth.
That has a decent probability to be true. Of course it could have been a mutated Godzilla after being exposed to some substance and it fled Earth and mutates further into Space Godzilla. Regardless I also believe the winged Godzilla looking creature will become Space Godzilla.
Ive heard about AstroGodzilla, and it fits more than spacegodzilla. Borned hungy in power he becames AG, just like what happened to Belial to the ultraman series
I love this incarnation of Godzilla and it is probably my favorite sine ive basically grown up with these movies. I was in like 4th grade when Godzilla 2014 came out

So, let me see how could Ghidorah come back, maybe a new Ghidorah arrives? Or he becomes Mecha Ghidorah or he just time travels to fight the future Godzilla, idk, but Gigan would of cource be awesome, i don't know how to do Megalon, but with a few tweaks and origin changes he would be great.

7:11 to be honest that actually looks better, who knows they might make his head bigger in the future, and who knows they might even change the dorsal plates.
What's with all the "he'd look better with a bigger head"? Ever since 2014 (onward) he got a bigger, buffier body, why would he need a bigger head? Even humans can gain some body weight, while their head doesn't change (much).

Well mv godzilla got ruin by fanboy
I can't be the only one who went "Fatality!" when Kong ripped Mecha-G's head off. It was such a Mortal Kombat move.
Me, my brother and my father did it too.
Same as when G man roasted the female MUTOs head off.
I liked the 2014 design,I really wish they hadn't changed it,but that scene where he drills through the hollow earth was badass
@@veteranpg3d156 yes
I don’t really like this design in my opinion, head is too small compared to its body.
@@joshuaneate358 I actually like it that way.
@@iandanielcassidy8126 Seriously, no offense, dude, but the parrot act is getting annoying.
We must Thank Gareth Edwards for starting the amazing Monsterverse
Fantastic profile!! The Godzilla for the modern age. Nice work explaining the confusing timeline of the tie-in comics with the movies, as well as acknowledging some of the exclusive events found in the novels.
(...Also, guess I'm one of those 3 who pre-ordered GODZILLA PS4!)
I guess I was the third person.
And I must have been number 2.
And I was probably not alive 😢
Slight correction: the DougheGoji design actually has a smaller head than the GareGoji design, not bigger. The behind the scenes featurette may show them blowing up the size, but this change was regressed in the final design.
If I could post an image here showing the difference, I would. The difference can be seen when comparing the models side by side in t pose.
Overall though, great work on this! I love the custom music in the background!
Yeah I was gonna say as well his head is clearly smaller in 19/21 lol
Exactly. I wish that they actually did make it bigger.
Basically, his body grows bigger, but his head stays the EXACT same.
@@spider-man500 Relative to in universe size, yes, but proportionally I mean they literally did shrink it when editing the physical model.
Good point!!
Anyone who thinks that Godzilla vs. Kong didn't give us a winner clearly wasn't paying attention.
Thats why the movie is called Godzilla vs Kong, not Godzilla vs King Kong
It did give us a winner tho, but legendary also agreed to the fans of having them both alive at the end
@DJ Martinez ooh good to know, Zilla still king of the monsters
The director told the studio that the only way he'd do the movie is if there's a clear winner
My top 3 favorite Godzillas:
My list:
(Hard between Heisei due to it’s look and the fact that next to Earth it has possibly the widest Arsenal and I just love the Heisei Looks usually and liked the movies and my actual favourite, I’ll still go with 1)
1. FinalGoji due to it’s dark/evil look and his Eyes are hardly visible. He was very slim and capable of keeping up with agile Kaijus. Thus he had his own Red Spiral Heat Ray, but possibly more powerful with a Knockback Effects known as ‘Burning G Spark Heat Ray’
2. Heisei
3. Millennium Godzilla (meaning 2000 and 2002- 03 Incarnations
my top list is exactly the same as yours except I don't have a third place because i don't know which of the other gojis i like more than eachother
edit: now it's the same but Ultima is #1 really just because of the breath rings and loooooong tail
1. burning heisei because hes just too op (1995)
2. destroyah hes just too cool wish we could of seen more(1995)
3.kiryu probbaly cuz he just looks gangsta when i look at him i think of "You dont have to be big to be scary" (2002-2003)
I love the showa era especially when minilla was introduced, minilla was goofy and silly and also cute and adorable (for me) and his roars and his cries and his "da da" when he calls for the big G is so cute
My own list:
1. Heisei
2. Reiwa(shin and Ultima)
3. Legendary
Thanks for putting this up! It was worth the wait honestly.
*"The Monster That Saved Movie Theatres"*
There aren't enough words to describe how much I love the sound of that.
@Reptilian Barate explain
When the design of the MonsterVerse Godzilla was revealed, admittedly I wasn’t that impressed with it but over time it grew on me and it’s now one of my all time favourite incarnations of the King of the Monsters.
It’s like 7 in the morning here and it’s truly a delight to see this uploaded the moment I wake up
Thank you for all your hard work wikizilla 🗿👍
I love this version of Godzilla so much! probably my favorite, i hope he gets a lot more movies!
I hope some of the other less used Incarnations get a more deserved re- appearance. Such as GMK and Final Wars Godzilla, Shin Godzilla, Millennium Godzilla in General
Same.
@@veteranpg3d156 I wanted gmk sequel alot, but im not sure
It’s honestly crazy to think that Godzilla 2014 was released about 8 yrs ago, almost a decade since the king of the monsters returned to the big screen thanks to the success of 2014’s Godzilla. Had it not been for the legendary Godzilla, there wouldn’t have been a MonsterVerse, reiwa era or a resurgence of kaiju movies. A lot has changed since late 2013/early-mid 2014.
but unfortunately, those movies weren't great
@@Godzilla-jr5gi exactly they were spectacular

Legendary's is my second favorite as well, but heisei is my number one
And the most watched movie on HBO max of all time as of rn!
Legendary Goji is my favorite version of Godzilla too.
Legendary is the first godzilla i saw and became my #1 fav godzilla, second favorite goes to heisei and third favorite goes to final wars
This RUclips channel is the best at explaining the entire Godzilla universe as well as monsterverse's Godzilla universe
Another wonderfully made trivia video about my favorite kaiju, from the Monsterverse. I really loved the intro bit with the animated models of all changes Goji went through. Cannot wait till the next video
My favourite incarnation of the character, I like everything about his design and characteristics. Just hope they give more personality or screen time *IF* the monsterverse continues with Godzilla in it.
Or he just don't like big monkey
Honestly this was the first time as an adult I got chills seeing godzilla on screen. The sound he makes charging he's atomic breath was so on point.
Finally !!! Love this !!! Can’t wait for the kong profile & the Apple TV series !!!
This was worth the wait, keep up with the good work, guys!
Jeez that intro was SO SICK
I hope the Legendary Mothra gets her own movie. Maybe we’ll get some more references to (or an actual appearance of) the Shobujin.
The Chinese lady and her twin in KOTM were the monsterverse version of the shobijin.
I wish we also a kaiju who looks like her enemies in the mothra trilogy, but not themselves
What i LOVE about Godzilla Grinning Evily in GvK is that Godzilla isn't a Badguy. So he's literally grinning because he's having fun
MonsterVerse Godzilla will always be my favorite Godzilla since the universe makes him a good guy, and I hope for more Toho kaiju to come in.
This Kaiju Profile is what i waited for Wikizilla for long time
Godzilla 2014 is special to me, it was the first Godzilla movie I ever watched when I was a kid. Even today he’s still my favorite design.
*DUDE THAT INTRO WAS SO FUCKING SICK!!!*
Also the video itself is excellent as well.

@Jurassic Hero GMK and Legendary in a completly different universe
Ive heard about AstroGodzilla, and it fits more than spacegodzilla. Borned hungy in power he becames AG, just like what happened to Belial to the ultraman series
