6:57 Shin returned to sea because he was overheating, there's a blink and miss it shot of his back spines glowing brighter right before he darts to the bay. My guess is his internal reactor kicked into overdrive to power that evolution.
one of the reasons G had to go back to the bay is because he was overheating (because of his 2nd form) and didn't have a cooling factor at that point in time which is why he had to return to the bay. Also the reason he was flooding the city with blood is because when he arrived on land his body wasn't developed or evolved enough to live on land (specifically his lungs and gills)

TBF, the explosion from the atomic bomb is not radiation, and the thing people forget is, regardless of if godzilla feeds on radiation, he still needs to survive the actual explosion from the bomb itself. And based on the fact that trains crashing into him injures and stuns him, its reasonable to assume they couldve killed godzilla with the atomic bomb. The thing is, based on what is shown to hurt him, was a bomb 75 TIMES stronger than the ones used in WWII nessacary to kill him, because that feels like overkill to me.

Even if he was prematurely awoken by train bombs, Shin was able to shoot down lots of missiles and drones hundreds of meters to maybe 10 miles from where he's standing with just his dorsals until he had to stop and reconcentrate his power to his mouth and tail to try and take down the rest. Yes he used a lot power again, but I think Shin was able figure out how to use a lot of energy yet still remain active as we see him use the last dregs of energy to destroy the first deployed group of coagulant trucks but didn't quite have enough to destroy the second group only using his teeth to take out a few trucks before he finally "froze solid". Personally the whole nuke thing is one part of the film I absolutely hate, because it's already established that Shin feeds on radiation be it from nuclear barrels or possibly nuclear facilities and we've seen twice (technically three times after being wounded internally regenerating the damage) in the film he can intercept incoming objects after getting wounded by MOP bombs and finding a counter to being attacked from above. Let's say the nuke was launched as soon as Shin woke up, honestly what could possibly stop him shooting the nuke out of the damn sky and getting a free meal? And any of the concept art stuff is not canon, its scrapped concept art for a reason, the concept art "shin" is a completely different creature entirely.
The best way to beat godzilla would be to pull out all the stops as soon as possible. The concern for immediate human life that could have been lost ended up making even more casualties then if godzilla was bombed to death as soon as it made land(or at least as soon a possible after it makes land) and I truly believe the only reason why they won in the end is becous most movies don't want to end on the bad guy winning.
I wonder tho. 5:57 - If that elderly couple wasn't evacuating, and the attack choppers were able to fire on Godzilla, would they be able to kill him? He was practically a newborn at that point, so maybe that was their easiest shot at taking him down?
since he is still fleshy, yeah they probably could kill or damage him. but when he got hid black scales that acted as armor, that option was thrown out the door.
I can imagine that if Godzilla could exist in the real world, and let's give him the ability to actually support his own body weight, he still would be destroyed by a couple of helicopters just shooting rounds after rounds into him. But he's OP and that's why we love him.
shin form 4 kamakura san used to be way goofier there was a scrapped scene where kamakura san would use its thicc tail and slither like a snake it was weird and also the movie was originally gonna be more disturbing and terrifying
They didn’t return to the sea because they would of get crushed, but it was because it was forced to go in to cool off, they say that in the movie, and you can see when his back glows.
Well here is the thing, Shin Godzilla can regenerate his wounds or missing parts instantaneously, and his fallen parts can become independent and form into another Shin Godzilla. Understand that, regeneration is a common ability each Godzilla incarnation can do and how fast and effective it is combat wise, depends on the incarnation itself. So far, Heisei Godzilla, Godzilla 2000, Shin Godzilla, Godzilla Earth, Godzilla Ultima and various comic and manga versions can regenerate within mere seconds at least in mid battle. So you can never permanently damage him. Especially, Shin Godzilla as I already stated above why. Also you are correct on nuclear bombs not being a good idea. Collateral damage aside, all the radiation for the nuclear bomb will do is mutate him even further. And let’s just say hypothetically, that it does blow Shin Godzilla to pieces, it will only make things worse as the cells that survive will mutate further and grow even quicker into a more powerful and evolved Shin Godzilla. Also this particular version of Godzilla, is capable of evolving to adapt to any situation. Something that should never be overlooked.
Ngl,I like the subtitles. It's a small addition, but it's effective and shows that you put in a lot of effort into this (btw I was not expecting you to cover Shin Godzilla since it's not an anime but hey, that's a pleasant surprise)
On a deleted scenes and material, Godzilla's flesh blown up by the bunker destroying bombs grew eyes and teeth. (It was cut as it was too grahphic) And despite it being frozen, it's tail is starting to split into smaller humanoid godzillas. (Also shown at the end of the movie) And the last scrapped idea for this movie, is Godzilla becoming a true singularity. As the quote by the creators "If the council reject Godzilla, Godzilla will become the council" So in the story, Godzilla is unkillable. They can only buy time with the coagulant.
"Guess I'll die?" Honestly, while the effects look odd, especially Godzilla's head, but the scene with it breathing fire, then transitioning into "IMMA FAIRIN MAH LAYZORRR!!!" was awesome
Man this movie. It started out weird and I didn't get why there was so much emphasis on the politicians. It was slow going, but the build up really did work to make the scene where he started shooting lasers feel genuinely intimidating. I didn't know where it was going, but when the USA was about to use nukes and you knew something bad would happen if they did, I was certainly invested in the plot. A+ movie in my opinion. I wish they'd make a continuation of this.
Detonating a Nuke in Tokyo would have had major consequences, but is not the world ending threat portrayed in the video. Hitting Godzilla with a nuclear bomb also almost certainly would have solved the issue, as the blast would have killed him before the radiation affected him. Most of the damage comes from the primary explosion which, granted, is very radioactive, but the force and heat generated would vaporize any living creature, even something like Godzilla. Keep in mind that the fireball produced by a nuclear bomb averages hotter than the center of the sun (Approximately 27 Million degrees Fahrenheit, or 15 million Celsius). Tokyo would still be livable after the blast, as 1.13 megatons (75x Little Boy) would have an approximate radius of 12 Kilometers. Although that is a huge area, Tokyo is much larger than that. The Human cost would be great as well, but way less than the cost if they failed to freeze Godzilla with the other plan.
Every time I see Shin Godzilla I just keep thinking it's entire existence is literally just to be in the most horrible perpetual agony, torture, and pain
It is so amazing how durable shin Godzilla is people say his durability is pathetic but his durability is amazing. He survived five of the bombs. The one of them would’ve made a crater 1500 feet across and 480 feet deep in all that made him bleed for a split second but he regenerated immediately
Given how they were attacked out of the blue by a giant monster that walks on kind something no one has delt with before I'd say they did ok job giving how they were making up a lot of what they were doing as they went
well if you completely separate the cells on an atomic level that would kill it and the nuclear bomb america was going to use probably wouldve anyway because of the massive destructive capabilities it isnt on godzilla in hells level
i have a theory when i looked at shin godzilla's 2nd and 3rd form i notice how weak the gills and eyes protectition is so here is the attack we need a aircraft attach with a strong missile on it to fly right through the eyes making him blind for seconds and sending another aircraft with another strong missile to go in his gills and blow it up. another theory that can bruttaly kills shin godzillas 2nd form if japan is lucky and has a machine that can drill throught the earth we can use that machine to drill through godzillas body bruttally making so much damage to the creature😁
and to add why drills are bad.. tunelling drills are SLOOOW.. so youd need Godzila to stay still for hours at leats, being drilled, got actual damage to happen
btw if someone is wondering why did the first prime minister went missing, you forgot to show, how the helicopter that the prime minister was in got destroyed by the nuclear beam when shin 4 swinged his head around
@@No-OneSpecial000 I have to rewatch the move but I'm pretty sure that they said it wasn't a permanent solution, and the humanoids showed up on the tail after Shin was frozen.
Some mistakes on how griffin pronounced some millitary weapons mentioned since the last video was taken down. 1.those "higher artillery bullets" are unguided rockets. 2. You didnt have to say "ground tanks" you should have said tanks or main battle tanks. 3.those "planes"whose bombs were destroyed by godzilla are UAVs unmanned arial vehicles. Also a mistake in the movie about the B2 spirit bomber if godzilla evovled to have built inradar after the bombs fell how did he know the second wave was coming the B2 spirit is a stealth bomber and would have been imposible to detect since its stealth features absorb the radio waves sent to it.
What doesn't kill him makes him stronger. He learns whatever's attacking him is coming from the sky. So he evolves back lasers and cleaves through the sky.
Tbh I was so bothered by hearing "nuclear" mispronounced over and over, I just stopped watching lmao. I didn't hear any "how to beat" either, he just summarizes the movie without any real commentary. Should have titled it appropriately.
@@__-zh6oq He was critiquing the mistakes made by the characters and how to rectify them That’s usually what he does alongside the how to beat but to be fair it’s a creature that absorbs radiation and evolves continually
I would like to point out that every time shin experiences an attack that actually hurts him, he evolves to counter that. So no matter what you do it will eventually evolve a counter any and all attacks. And once it evolves from that attack that attack won’t work on anymore.
"If your country was under attack by a radioactive monster, what would you do?" I would call the australians, if they can beat up alligators, what stops them from beating up a giant lizard
"If your country was under attack by a radioactive Monster what would you do?" 1. My country never had any radioactive spots (except when chernoville happened) 2. I don't live on an Island 3. Godzilla has to at least destroy one country to reach mind
Practical Reasons The U.S. nuclear strike option is really a bad idea for the following reasons: The last time they thought Li-6 wouldn't participate in fusion reactions, they got it wrong, so the actual equivalent of Castle Bravo was, to put it mildly, "a bit higher" than the calculations predicted, and that caused quite a problem. Now they're going to bomb a literally walking fusion reactor (powered by fission fuel somehow) with a high-yield thermonuclear bomb? I don't think there will be any more accidents, right? RIGHT?
Shin's initial vacant look is terrifying. Typical Zilla had an intelligent look in it's eyes, indicating a need for cunning and ferocity. Shin seemingly started without instincts of any kind, indicating it was powerful enough that it did not require any killer instinct.
@@adrianscorch well the original Godzilla was a mutated dinosaur. the godzilla of the legendary monsterverse is a alpha species that keeps the other titans in check. This thing here, we not even really know from what exactly it originated we only know it feed from nuclear waste. It didn´t needed to protect his feeding grounds from other lifeforms and therefore killer instinct was never necessary for it.
@@Phoenixfede1989, well there is pictures of its original form and it's basically a very round fish with a long tail. So yes, Shin Godzilla was a fish and it turned into that thing.
So wait, I know I'm REALLY late, But If it overheats and has to return to the bay to cool down, wouldn't thermal weapons have an effect against it? Like firebombs or napalm?
The real reason it went back to the sea was because Godzilla is like a walking nuclear reactor and nuclear reactors can overheat so it was going into the water to cool itself so it doesn't overheat

@@HydragonofDeath The same guy who made it also made Evangelion, is godzilla becoming the universe really that far fetched for him?
The best way to beat godzilla would be to pull out all the stops as soon as possible. The concern for immediate human life that could have been lost ended up making even more casualties then if godzilla was bombed to death as soon as it made land(or at least as soon a possible after it makes land) and I truly believe the only reason why they won in the end is becous most movies don't want to end on the bad guy winning.

This movie was badass 👌thanks for bringing light to it! Love the channel!
I don't care if everyone is saying this isn't anime, I'm just glad someone made a video on this movie
it drives me crazy when he says "nucular"
He also talks about your gyat😭
Then it is kind of appropriate they show a Simpsons clip.😂
I wonder tho.
5:57 - If that elderly couple wasn't evacuating, and the attack choppers were able to fire on Godzilla, would they be able to kill him?
He was practically a newborn at that point, so maybe that was their easiest shot at taking him down?
since he is still fleshy, yeah they probably could kill or damage him.
but when he got hid black scales that acted as armor, that option was thrown out the door.
I would’ve said screw the couple, the gargantuan monster takes priority
I can imagine that if Godzilla could exist in the real world, and let's give him the ability to actually support his own body weight, he still would be destroyed by a couple of helicopters just shooting rounds after rounds into him. But he's OP and that's why we love him.
is he still as string as he is in the movies or is it just the weight thing?

As I said, this Godzilla is very goofy...and I love it
I haven't seen this movie, so when I saw the creature for the first time in the thumbnail I started cackling. It looks so silly and I love it.
@@blade5521 I watched this movie like 50 times already
@@blade5521 Till you find out the story about shin godzilla...
shin form 4 kamakura san used to be way goofier
there was a scrapped scene where kamakura san would use its thicc tail and slither like a snake
it was weird and also the movie was originally gonna be more disturbing and terrifying
His first form was ugly af
They didn’t return to the sea because they would of get crushed, but it was because it was forced to go in to cool off, they say that in the movie, and you can see when his back glows.
Ahh yes we can beat the rapidly evolving atomic breathing monster by turning it into a cryogenic patient
I've seen the original but happy to see it again.
Hey thanks! Yeah first video got a copyright claim. So we had to change some things.
Ngl,I like the subtitles. It's a small addition, but it's effective and shows that you put in a lot of effort into this (btw I was not expecting you to cover Shin Godzilla since it's not an anime but hey, that's a pleasant surprise)
I bet alot of effort was put into 21:13
@@Willzilla or 24:06
On a deleted scenes and material, Godzilla's flesh blown up by the bunker destroying bombs grew eyes and teeth. (It was cut as it was too grahphic)
And despite it being frozen, it's tail is starting to split into smaller humanoid godzillas. (Also shown at the end of the movie)
And the last scrapped idea for this movie, is Godzilla becoming a true singularity. As the quote by the creators "If the council reject Godzilla, Godzilla will become the council"
So in the story, Godzilla is unkillable. They can only buy time with the coagulant.
Actually it is confirmed that shin godzilla can be killed if every single of his cell was destroyed
"Guess I'll die?"
Honestly, while the effects look odd, especially Godzilla's head, but the scene with it breathing fire, then transitioning into "IMMA FAIRIN MAH LAYZORRR!!!" was awesome
"It's just another Tuesday to this guy's"
Had me laughing
is it just me or watching his videos just always makes my day?
Man this movie. It started out weird and I didn't get why there was so much emphasis on the politicians. It was slow going, but the build up really did work to make the scene where he started shooting lasers feel genuinely intimidating. I didn't know where it was going, but when the USA was about to use nukes and you knew something bad would happen if they did, I was certainly invested in the plot. A+ movie in my opinion. I wish they'd make a continuation of this.
i think it makes sense to emphasize on the politics because of how political godzilla inherently is.
You guys are getting better and better man. The ad was so well done. I Didn't need to skip it. It was very funny.

@@crocodile9156 so?
This entire situation is terrifying, but the best way to approach this situation is by getting Godzilla away from the city
The Human cost would be great as well, but way less than the cost if they failed to freeze Godzilla with the other plan.
the thing is that godzilla is definitely strong enough to take a nuke, especially if he is nearly as string as his other versions.
@@jico5147 if trains and bombs can stun him / hurt him, then a nuke is going to absolutely decimate him

and godzilla monster planet
"Great. Just great. Now it wants a nuclear snack for dessert" had me laughing XD
U can’t defeat it because it technically can’t die as it evolves to anything and everything and it’s adaptations are permanent
Except your civilization has reach full level or....
A single portal interdimentional thing
ye well just try to stop it from evolving in a matter of 2 seconds
Japan had only halted the inevitable ending of the universe for a limited amount of time
well if you completely separate the cells on an atomic level that would kill it and the nuclear bomb america was going to use probably wouldve anyway because of the massive destructive capabilities it isnt on godzilla in hells level

Shin Godzilla is a horror movie. Rationality doesn’t exist in the horror genre.
the "God Help Us" poster just reminded me this is the most terrifying version (with its evolutions) to someone like me, a Godzilla outsider
i have a theory when i looked at shin godzilla's 2nd and 3rd form i notice how weak the gills and eyes protectition is so here is the attack we need a aircraft attach with a strong missile on it to fly right through the eyes making him blind for seconds and sending another aircraft with another strong missile to go in his gills and blow it up. another theory that can bruttaly kills shin godzillas 2nd form if japan is lucky and has a machine that can drill throught the earth we can use that machine to drill through godzillas body bruttally making so much damage to the creature😁
bruh making earth drilling machines take alot of time. months, years or decades. instead of whatever you said the coagulation plan was better
Yeah that drill is gonna be body slammed into pieces before it's even turned kn
and to add why drills are bad.. tunelling drills are SLOOOW.. so youd need Godzila to stay still for hours at leats, being drilled, got actual damage to happen
Bruh godzilla Lookin Goofy as Hell 💀

2nd:vacation
3rd: never go back

@@__-zh6oq He was critiquing the mistakes made by the characters and how to rectify them
That’s usually what he does alongside the how to beat but to be fair it’s a creature that absorbs radiation and evolves continually
Yo bro, you don’t need to say ground tank or main battle tank you just enjoy it both
Pks
🤓
This is one of the few goji films that ends with Godzilla losing to humans.
I would like to point out that every time shin experiences an attack that actually hurts him, he evolves to counter that. So no matter what you do it will eventually evolve a counter any and all attacks. And once it evolves from that attack that attack won’t work on anymore.

Shin Godzilla: " Are You Sure About That "
Shin Godzilla is definitely one of my top favourite Godzilla movies. I really like his design in it
"If your country was under attack by a radioactive monster, what would you do?"
I would call the australians, if they can beat up alligators, what stops them from beating up a giant lizard
"If your country was under attack by a radioactive Monster what would you do?"
1. My country never had any radioactive spots (except when chernoville happened)
2. I don't live on an Island
3. Godzilla has to at least destroy one country to reach mind
when i heard that manscaped sponsored this video i started to wonder, where are shin godzillas balls?
17:05 "This keeps getting worse and wOrse." Im dying 💀
Practical Reasons The U.S. nuclear strike option is really a bad idea for the following reasons:
The last time they thought Li-6 wouldn't participate in fusion reactions, they got it wrong, so the actual equivalent of Castle Bravo was, to put it mildly, "a bit higher" than the calculations predicted, and that caused quite a problem.
Now they're going to bomb a literally walking fusion reactor (powered by fission fuel somehow) with a high-yield thermonuclear bomb?
I don't think there will be any more accidents, right?
RIGHT?
“If your country was under attack by Godzilla, what would you?”
I’d tell mordecai and rigby to deal with the mess or else they’re fired
This has got to be the most freaky looking version of Godzilla I've ever seen

Shin Godzilla's my fav godzilla, it's both coos as hell when in godzilla mode, and a very derpy salamander
this guy is the ultimate "its just genes"
Shin's initial vacant look is terrifying.
Typical Zilla had an intelligent look in it's eyes, indicating a need for cunning and ferocity.
Shin seemingly started without instincts of any kind, indicating it was powerful enough that it did not require any killer instinct.
shin was just a bit hungry
For real.
Traditional Godzilla looks like he’s a hunter.
Shin Godzilla looks like a zombie.

So wait, I know I'm REALLY late, But If it overheats and has to return to the bay to cool down, wouldn't thermal weapons have an effect against it? Like firebombs or napalm?
1:00 first timed but I just chose this randomly
The real reason it went back to the sea was because Godzilla is like a walking nuclear reactor and nuclear reactors can overheat so it was going into the water to cool itself so it doesn't overheat
