@@NecrochildK honestly I’m more annoyed at the fact that they used old world shit for something based on the new world. Gore magala, the great desert and the desert boat is all old world. Also why are the hunters primitives who capture Artemis when in reality the hunters are incredibly advanced and help people from all walks of life?
Imagine that plot, but: They got the chance through the guild, because the tigrex made a small unballance. She allmost causes them to fail, retret like he said etc. They capture the tigrex with the felyne hunters, and the climax battle would be an emotionally loaded, solo arena grudge match, where she beats the living shit out of it, with a custom proof of a hero theme playing in the backround.
You know what the crazy part is, they could have changed one aspect at the story in this movie and the entire movie would change. Picture this, instead of killing off all the soldiers, everything stays the same up until they end up getting accosted by the Diablos and instead of killing them off, they end up getting saved by Tony Jaa. He escorts them back to the Monster Hunter base where they see this thriving community of hunters, researchers, armorers and palicoes working together. Even cut in a scene of a random monster like Jyuratodus or Anjanath freshly captured and being studied vigorously. They somehow communicate that they're from another world and have no way of getting home. While there, they learn their way of life and to use a vast array of the weapons provided by Monster Hunter. They learn to hunt and wield their weapons proficiently and even go on hunts starting with smaller monsters and gradually getting to the bigger ones.
So basically, you want the game with a few American soldiers being proven how inadequate they are. Let me just begin to tell you what is wrong with this. IF they can get to that world, the monsters can get to ours, and their first duty would be to gather info and return it to high command and LET THEM make the decisions. This means from the first moment they are there they will be looking for understanding of how they got there. Then they would be looking for how to get home. THAT would be their first mission there. They might look at what weapons were used there, but they would be more likely to bring some home to see how they worked and how they could make them better at killing any of the monsters that came here. Secondly, in case you missed it, their mission was to find out what happen to the bravo team. Their mission was a success, in that they did find out what happen, but were not able to rescue any of them. A larger team was sent out to find out why both teams disappeared without a trace. They found out that the dragon was unstoppable by normal means. The captain knew that the entire planet was at risk and return as fast as possible. YOUR plot would have had the entire team betray that mission. They would have effectively gone AWOL just to help a bunch of people that already knew how to kill the monsters and had little use for them. Soldiers do not abandon their mission.
@@blightedrfs I did not find it either generic or boring. What you wanted would not appeal to the majority of movie patrons and thus would have killed the movie franchise before it could get going.

I think the theme of invasive species and balance in ecology should be more emphasized in your plot. It can even play into Artemis's character. While hunters are about researching monsters and hunting out of necessity, Artemi's quest for revenge can cause conflict with her fellow hunters. In the plot, this revenge fixation can disturb the balance and Artemis suffers for her transgressions (she causes a fellow hunter to die or gets injured or something, idk just give her consequences for her actions). Climax can be she takes out the big bad invasive species monster the hunter way as a team and learns the responsibilities of her role as a hunter (maybe even have a native species monster help in battle, like in monster hunter stories. Would be a nod to the "baby games' of the franchise". All and all I like your ideas and great video. keep making more content.
Let's be honest, her entire existence as a character represents a lot about the ideology in building this movie. A hunter is someone that is designed based on a philosophy. Artemis is a representative of a completely different paradigm and is anathema to the very concept of Monster Hunter in and of itself. The game is man vs. nature, not man vs. monster. The monsters aren't important, the world itself is a challenge for the hunters.
She could actually get court martialed for something like that (the hunters even have policemen who deal with hunters who overhunt or hunt monsters that ain't listed on the quests. Lore wise at least)
I have friends that got on the monster hunter series at world, and almost all of them said that if they knew they could have cats fight giant monsters with them, they would have played ages ago
There was supposed to be a fight between Gore Magala and Greater Rathalos, but they scrapped it. Even though Rathalos would get murked by Gore Magala, it would be a good moment for general fans to see a monster fight. If you wanted a powerful and larger-than-normal Rathalos, why didn't you use Silver or Dreadking, who can hold their own against elder dragons.
The worst part is I can see a monster Hunter show with the Idea of being stuck in the world of monster Hunter. But instead going for a point a to b, it could’ve be where they have to “rise” up and protect a village in dire need of new hunters. And if they make anime with this mindset I’ll love it
What cheesed me off was them fighting Diablos with Bone Weapons..... Starter weapons against a late/end game boss? I love my Palico's, I got C4+ as my bomber cat and Catscan as my support/healer. Honorable mentions: Prowladdin, Clawdiator and Mewpin3rd.
It wasn't just Diablos, but a Black Diablos. Black Diablos are the strongest form of an already strong (non-elder dragon level) monster. Not to mention after that fight, they had the AUDACITY to say NORMAL RATHALOS; not Dreadking, Not Silver, not even Azure; was one of the strongest monsters. Idk if they've realized this, but Normal Diablos is stronger than Normal Ratholos, let alone a Black Diablos.
@@bioboss8369 Well, if you look at the size comparison, the movie Rathalos is faaaaaaaaaaaaar far larger than even a gold crown large rathalos. Chances are, while it has the coloration of a regular rathalos, it's probably on par with a dreadking if not stronger.
Your movie idea, while chaotic, would have been so much better than the non plot we were given. I think what they were trying to pull off was something like the final fantasy crossover they had in monster hunter world. Portals connecting lands, monsters overlapping, learning from each world to best combat each weird threat, etc. But instead you have a non plot, two monsters and a teaser at one, no meaningful dialog, barely any world building, Ron Perlman looking a wreck, game lore not used correctly, and someone having the audacity to send meowscular chef to fight with one lightning dual blade. As a mh fan I was so disappointed in how they portrayed game mechanics. It was interesting to see just how deadly these monsters are but switch axes dont shoot out a wave of fire.... ugh it was frustrating watching this movie. It's a bad movie and bad at portraying monster hunter. A waste of time for fans and non fans
11:48 is the only glaring flaw with this plot idea because that role of invasive species belongs to Devlijho and Bazelgeuse But it took you less than four minutes to come up with a more cohesive and faithful plot than Anderson who probably took Months
Yeah, i absolutely understand that; I just needed ANY reason I could come up with for Tigrex purely cause he's one of my favourites. It was purely for my sole benefit lol
Individuals of a species could feasibly play a similar role. Obviously not to the ecosystem destroying effect of the proper invader species, but they would still be unhealthy to the balance of the area. If the village was based in a tundra, and the most dangerous local predators are, say, some Khezu that eat one Kelbi a day or one Popo a week. A Tigrex coming in from another area would easily throw off the ecological balance set by that circumstance, and would need to be dealt with asap by the local hunters.
add a stinger at the end - the Tigrex only invaded because an elder dragon or something drove it into the wrong region. Not too lore breaking, and you have a sequel set up too.
When the trailer dropped, I was excited... Then Anderson's name came out and my heart was destroyed just like how they destroyed Leon (Jill, Ada, Claire) and reduced them to nothingness in RE Live action movies
That Elder Dragon looking creature is called Gore Magala and it is actually not an elder dragon. That crazed beast is the master of the frenzy virus to a certain extent and he is the main boss and antagonist in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Shagaru Magala is the adult form and Elder Dragon form of Gore Magala because it has pure mastery of the frenzy virus. Shagaru is ruthless and he isn't called the Fallen Angel of Light for nothing.
Isn't Gore Magala just an Elder Dragon? The games listed it as an unknown type at first (which means no category is ruled out really), the Hunter's Encyclopedia 4 apparently lists it as Elder Dragon, and more importantly; if its mature form is an Elder Dragon, then that settles it. The species is an Elder Dragon or isn't, and the mature form is still the same species as the younglings.
@@Hazearil The reason why Gore Magala isn't a full Elder Dragon is because that it doesn't truly control the frenzy virus and you can actually capture it. It can still be sporadic and fall victim to its own power. Shagaru Magala can truly master the frenzy virus to its full potential; so, that's why it's considered a full Elder Dragon.
Haaated this movie. Old school MH fan. Why did we establish that modern guns did nothing early into into film only to have a second "monster killing army guys" montage an hour in? Also I was so hyped when they SPOILER: gathered materials for the poison arrow and successfully trapped the Diablos and put it to sleep... but then it immediately woke up. Womp womp.
I'd make 1 change to the story in that Artemis would be using her father's weapon(s) while this is all happening in an effort for honor/revenge. At the end, after the party faints, no scolding. She comes to the realization that she is not her father, no matter how much she wants to be, and has to grudgingly pick up another weapon to hunt Tigrex. Enter some message about honoring your father by honoring yourself or something like that, and it also would end up incorporating a big part of monster hunter which is adaptability via all the different types of weapons.
It’s a little embarrassing to say but I was a kid and monster Hunter stories was my first game and I later played generations as my first main game experience and soon after 4U then I went and played some older games and then played Gen Ultimate then World and now I have 40 hours in rise already and have finished it
this is a really nice small channel i am happy i found this was a great video to watch keep making shit i am sure your gonna blow up someday i love monster hunter to
I have asked this question before on other videos without really getting an answer, but I will ask it again. Don't you have to be born a Hunter? No average schmuck can just train to be able to pick up swords and hammers and gun lances that weigh more than they do. I remember learning that all Hunters are descendants of the genetically modified super-soldiers of the Ancient Civilization. So how in the hell was Artemis, a well-trained but still standard human from Earth, expected to be able to just automatically be as good as literal superhumans with just a bit of training?
Here's the plot I was looking for. The hunter raging after beating rathalos upside the head 12 times and then popping off when they finally got the gem.
@ I started with Freedom 1 and played all of them that got a eu/na release (so no MH Portable 3rd) and I also played 3 for Wii (before getting the Ultimate Version for the 3DS.), but I still consider 4u as the best portable Monster Hunter so far. But I also really love Rise so far. Yes it's unfinished and lacked content at the moment, but with the inclusion of new monsters as free updates (and hopefully an G-Rank DLC) it could become my new favourite. But back to topic: MH 3 released 10 years ago and 4U six years ago. So I would definitely say that people who started with these games can be called veterans. Yes we Fredoom/Fredom 2 plebs play and love the franchise since almost 15 years now, but even 6 years of dedication to a franchise are nothing to sneeze at.
The plot sounds great. The tigrex could be forced out of its natural habitat by an elder dragon setting a tie in for a sequel, moving the focus onto 1 main person with 3 supporting characters allows for 4 person hunts to be written in, and even better make it a show. I would watch a “monster of the week” show about 4 rookie hunters learning the ropes and battling monsters. That would allow more monsters to be present in the shows run time, allow even development between the 4 characters, flesh out a hunter’s training, and allow a overarching plot line of figuring out what this mysterious monster that is forcing other monsters into a frenzy (Gore Magala). Fuck that would be so good.
Intro: *"sips tea* ..........i fucking *love* monster hunter" Fucking earnt a like instantly XD Im just imagining him thinking about monster hunter and then going on a rant in his room all by himself with nobody actually there
I thought the opening scene of this movie was pretty fun, outside of treating Diablos like sandsharks. If they just focused on the actual world of Monster Hunter instead of immediately cutting to the real world and making those people the main characters, then it could have been a much better movie. Also there were so many cuts in fight scenes with Tony Jaa, instead of just letting him shine as the martial artist he is.
I remember seeing this movie at that theater with my mom and it’s the same day I got my PlayStation 5 for Christmas and that’s the day I saw Monster Hunter and I will never forget that day at all good memories too for me back then
Replace tigrex with deviljho and that's a good storyline, they're invasive, cause mass extinctions and are unpredictable enough to take out even the more experienced hunters if they slip up. It also could come out of nowhere kill the tigrex or whatever they think killed the father and then the realise, it was this cucumber. On the flip side you did amazing and deserve way more subs
It could even be that he was expecting a deviljho but it was actually the first discovery of savage deviljho and he wasn't prepared for how much stronger it was.

An issue that irks me that a lot of reviewers tend to glance over is how badly the movie undersells the power of the MHverse, especially the hunters. In Monster Hunter, you can fall down mountains without any damage, tank direct hits from monsters, and slice through hide that is stated to be stronger than metal. And I know some people are going to say: "But Geralt noted how he didn't take fall damage either in World, so that's just the verse being weird with gravity," and to that I respond with: that's non-canon, and if you do take it as canon, then you have a Behemoth sized power influx into the verse, which makes the situation _even worse._ Then in the movie, Artemis is keeping up with the hunters. Despite being a normal human from the real world. That precident makes _everything_ in the Monster Hunter world suddenly drab and unimpressive. Hunters have to run around monsters and struggle to not get hit, making the concept of fighting them with melee weapons completely dumb. The world is seen as this uninhabitable hellhole where people have to always be on alert before a common monster randomly appears and kills everyone, in complete contrast with the world seen in the games where people goof around _a lot_ and only get mildly annoyed by monsters any weaker than the Raths. The monsters are seen as violent, malicious demons instead of animals living out their everyday life. That one precident ruins everything that is set up in the games, all just so some random shmuck can come in and fight stuff(and people). But she doesn't _need_ to fight. She can help around with literally anything else, and be the PoV for the audience that is awed at the hunters and monsters alongside them. Or if you _really_ want her to fight, give her a bowgun. She's part of the military. She's skilled with guns. So, give her a gun. Simple logic. No one from the real world with our ~6,000 LB back lift soft limit should be touching the toes of _any_ hunter in Monster Hunter.
I like the idea of your plot much more than the actual movie's plot, but instead of the Tigrex, maybe something stronger like an elder dragon could be the cause (although its pretty cliché and its basically the plot for most of the games, it works). As a monster hunter fan, it gives more of an impact because they are significantly stronger than the normal monsters and are often noticeably different from just your normal monsters to hunt. And for those who aren't fans, it could also be helpful for them to understand, by having the elder dragon be visually distinct like its size, maybe going with a monster like Zorah Magdaros or Dalamadur. Having the big threat being an elder dragon can also help with the lack of its appearance between the death of Artemis's father and her seeing it again, since they are rare occurrences and treated as cataclysms (via lore in the games)
@@TheMajesticJunkyard The more I think about it, if they made a movie in the style of the monster hunter cutscenes, your idea fits great with the MH4U opening scene.
I think Monster Hunter would be a better Anime then a movie. Hunter starts from nothing, learns, gets "Okay" enough to make a living, tragedy happens, (plesioth hip check kills someone cause they underestimated it.) time skip, Rookie is no longer Rookie, crisis happens like a gore magala starting shit with frenzy virus. Have someone start from nothing and basically become the Goblin Slayer in that world. (BTW G-Slayer is a SnS Maine, fight me.) No major bad guy, maybe a poacher here or there. (Poachers trophy hunting outside the guild get hunted like animals btw, check the lore.) Basically a guy, or girl, contributing their part to society and keeping towns safe. We would kind of be just watching hunters pick up missions, do the research, and then prepping before the big hunt. Hunter would learn from past hunts and eventually be what we consider G-rank.
Ikr. That scene was the best part. Lmfao. Rest was like bare minimum. And they didn’t even get a lot of the bare minimum. Not a single quest or anything mentioned in the whole movie. LMAO. They should’ve just made it a movie about a motivated person wanting to become a g rank hunter to honor someone of their past . And you see them in the barracks with other hunters in like a training program like attack on titan and they train in arenas with weapons and do the harvesting quests in their early stages and we see them progress to larger monsters and have difficulty but perserverence. And by the end show to have true potential as a hunter after soloing a difficult monster that knocked down the other squad members. That’s how I would write the movie. Sort of the rough idea.
i like how every single mh fan (including me) comes up with a better plot structure that's sounds semi similar (except, i would adapt the original monster hunter story, where the big bad is fatalis ) 1.protagonist is a child in a village 2.big bad happens 3.protagonist becomes hunter 4.monster hunter shenanigans 5.protagonist deals with big bad 6.the end It's "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" (and also mh:stories) ! It's classic! And you can do so much with this simple structure! Make a dumb fun movie about hunters breaking monsters left and right, make a film about enviromentalism, ecology and the circle of life, make a film about the nature of revenge, make a film about the conflict between humans and nature and that's just from the top of my head! I love monster hunter very much, and whenever i remember what a wastefull disgrace this fucking film, it makes my blood boil
Been playing since freedom unite and when I saw the announcement for a movie man I was hyped... and then instead of a monster hunter movie we got Paul Anderson 2 Electric Boogaloo
So a ranger is better than a monster hunter who wields giant weapons on daily basis and spent years honing their skills to hunt giant monsters? Wow, that is pushing the isekai troupe too much. Seriously, anyone who played MH will know that rangers and monster hunters are worlds apart. Just curious, between this and Terminator Dark Fate, which one takes the cake?
So I am pretty sure that your idea of the Tirgrex being invasive is actually the Village Quest plot of "Monster Hunter Freedom Unite" as Pokke Village Elder does talk about how its uncontested on the mountain when it arrives at games beginning. Its arrival though meant that something was going down blah blah blah game happening. But Village Quest 4* ends with you taking down the Tirgrex...
It seems like producer/writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson wanted to recreate the experience of watching the RESIDENT EVIL series, since the setting, the atmosphere and the cast would change from time to time... except that he crammed it all into 1 movie. The end result is MONSTER HUNTER which, despite being so disjointed, is consistently boring and unimaginative. I've never played the video games it's based on, so I watched gameplays on RUclips in preparation. While I don't know the entire lore (not only did I only choose videos about the mainline installments, but I also only chose videos that last between 15 and 50 minutes), I got the gist of it. The player must go to certain areas to collect raw meat for their village. Since "monster" has a negative connotation, I was shocked when I noticed that a lot of them don't attack you if you don't attack first. Some don't do anything at all to defend themselves! It's cruel! And don't tell me that's how it is in real life too. Hunters make sure they only have to shoot once. They don't swing a bladed weapon repeatedly. To be fair, maybe in the subsequent levels, the player encounters creatures that *are* evil by nature. Either way, the scenery and the music score had a light-hearted epic fantasy vibe, which the movie doesn't even try to recreate. I won't spoil the ending, but I will say that it's one of the worst sequel baits I've ever seen! "Oh, let me guess, Vits: The conflict is resolved, the heroes celebrate and then another story is set up in a tacked on way, right?" No, it's worse! The set-up isn't for another story; it's for the rest of the current story! There's no resolution! Look, even if you don't want your heroes to achieve their main goal until the final chapter, they still need to accomplish something. Just because there's a big baddie for the entire franchise, it doesn't mean each installment can't have an antagonist that the heroes can defeat. It's important to show an epilogue where the heroes reflect on what they've been through, so the viewer can feel that it's the end of a part of their journey. Or that the real journey is about to begin. The details are up to the storytellers. Just don't pump the breaks out of nowhere! 3/10
So we are, like, guardians of the galaxy now? Someone wrote that. Also whats with the monsters trying to cross to the human world now? One would think in a certain point the army would just have equipement to gun down most of them when they discover there is a portal that spawns creatures time to time,i mean the super duper rathalos never got shot and the diablos got a horn broken by an explosive.
Bro no one is going to tell you to give this movie slack when we got detective pikachu which has probably set the standard for videogames movies which still isn't that high
I mean we got the big sand whale and the smaller monsters but still i understand what you mean but from someone who has done alot of indepth lore and stuff i enjoy the movie alot because i think it was a good introduction to a maybe good series i mean its just a starting movie and intro
Sounds cliche but maybe have that particular Tigrex's head be scarred (like in the games).. like scarred by her father, so that she actually recognizes it.. just my thought though (maybe even have its tail chopped off too xD)
Instead of making a story about a normal hunter in a majestic, wide and wonderful fantasy world where dragons and fuckin' devils called vespoids exist, they makes a movie about a military squad got transported into another world, where they strive and tries to survive. Anderson literally only saw the title "Monster Hunter" and thought its just some game where you try to survive from monsters invading your world. No, its not. Monster Hunter is not a horror-thriller game (except when you fight against that saiyan chimpanzee) where you tries to survive, while avoiding monsters and running away from it. Monster Hunter is a game, where you, as a NATIVE in that world, works as a normal hunter who is good at doing their job. Its a game where you, as a hunter, doesnt escape from a dragon with twin horns, but instead wrestles with it. Its a game, where you, as a person who lives in that world, was protecting the ecosystem, while taking what you need to live, like us, here, on Earth. Just, please. Keep Anderson away from any games. Please.
So i know that this is a bit late. But with the tigrex being a slightly lower level dragon, you would have to explain how her father would have died fighting it if he was such a good fighter. An idea might be, that because the tigrex were a migrating monster, and nobody in the village had actually seen an tigrex or its fighting style up to that point, it was considered more of a higher level when it was first encountered. As the years went on though and the migrations became more consistant the tigrex were learned until they became known to a level that low to mid level hunters could fight them.
They could have made a subspecies up for the movie and added it to world even if they needed an excuse for a stronger tigrex. I think even that could be an interesting plot point that her father wasn't prepared for a new tigrex, possible even integrating gore magala and having it be an apex.
Trying to see positives in this is like saying "You know... not all of this piece of shit smells horrible! If you stand in the direction of the wind, you can barely smell the bad parts, while only getting this slight sweet savory smell without the nauseating part" But then 2 seconds later the wind changes again
While my friends and I were watching the movie one made the comment when she first passes out from the spider they should of had palicos cart her off and it would have been great, but yeah that didnt happen, made us laugh our asses off though.

@@roberthicks5454 so you want it to be generic and boring?
@@blightedrfs I did not find it either generic or boring. What you wanted would not appeal to the majority of movie patrons and thus would have killed the movie franchise before it could get going.
The saddest part of all this is that Capcom will look at this and go “no one wants a MH movie”, they would never blame their favourite director.
I wanted a MH movie lol 😂 and I really did enjoy the movie for what it was and I’m not a die hard fan of the games i only play MHW and barely play MHR but like I said before not a die hard fan of MH like I am with the Resident Evil games and I even enjoy the movies too with Milla Jovovich love her in those films and I don’t get the hate for those movies at all not like you haters people do but that’s just me my personal opinions bruh 😎
more chaotically planning out better film plots please i love this lmao (and i dont even know what monster hunter is!!))
You have no idea how much fun it was to do this even if the idea was bad
All and all I like your ideas and great video. keep making more content.
p.s. good on the youtube algorithm to leading me to this channel
THAT'S WHAT I WAS MISSING!! Thank you for that. Both the idea and the loveley comment.
Add to that the necessity of letting the monster she swore revenge go away. Like killing the tigrex would cause an unbalance in the ecosystem.
I have friends that got on the monster hunter series at world, and almost all of them said that if they knew they could have cats fight giant monsters with them, they would have played ages ago
Individuals of proper taste, I see
The cats are what sold one of my friends honestly. Who doesn't love palicos?
There was supposed to be a fight between Gore Magala and Greater Rathalos, but they scrapped it. Even though Rathalos would get murked by Gore Magala, it would be a good moment for general fans to see a monster fight. If you wanted a powerful and larger-than-normal Rathalos, why didn't you use Silver or Dreadking, who can hold their own against elder dragons.
Not sure if it's completely scrapped. The Monster Hunter movie(s) are supposed to be a trilogy. And they teased Gore at the end.
@@PestilentAllosaurus It was confirmed that they completely scrapped it. They did because they thought the movie would be too long.
The worst part is I can see a monster Hunter show with the Idea of being stuck in the world of monster Hunter. But instead going for a point a to b, it could’ve be where they have to “rise” up and protect a village in dire need of new hunters. And if they make anime with this mindset I’ll love it
I see what you did there
What cheesed me off was them fighting Diablos with Bone Weapons.....
They even invite hellboy to kick rathalos ass xD
@@bioboss8369 Well, if you look at the size comparison, the movie Rathalos is faaaaaaaaaaaaar far larger than even a gold crown large rathalos. Chances are, while it has the coloration of a regular rathalos, it's probably on par with a dreadking if not stronger.
Ah sleep bombing. I remember that. I also remember mh3u and that stupidly overpowered kelbi sling shot. But such is mh !
I love those cat names and I'm going to steal them lol
Thank you for your comment, and yeah I agree, there is so much wrong with this film that any positives, that I mentioned, are not enough to save it
I dunno. Revenge doesn't seem a proper fit for the mindset of the Monster Hunter games. Plus, a little too many montages.
11:48 is the only glaring flaw with this plot idea because that role of invasive species belongs to Devlijho and Bazelgeuse
But it took you less than four minutes to come up with a more cohesive and faithful plot than Anderson who probably took Months
Yeah, i absolutely understand that; I just needed ANY reason I could come up with for Tigrex purely cause he's one of my favourites. It was purely for my sole benefit lol
@@TheMajesticJunkyard And it still made more sense than anything Anderson could have shat out XD
Well Tigrex would make sense as an invader since it can inhabit so many different environments
And the over glorification of Alice, a Mary Sue.
Shagaru is ruthless and he isn't called the Fallen Angel of Light for nothing.
magala Family are definitly the best monsters around. Shagaru and Chaotic look so great.
I bet Anderson's intention was to splice the RE and MH franchises together with the frenzy virus.
@@PiroMunkie I hope not.
I heard that they
didn't even use Rathalos' theme at battle scene.
Didn't they use any music from games??
Not to my knowledge, no. Not even the main theme
They could do so much more with a MH movie. Why did they give it to the guy that ran the RE movies into a ditch?!
Been playing since Monster Hunter Freedom release. Probably clocked a few thousand hours by now with MHF-MHFU-Generations-tri-4-world- next Rise
I never understood why she went for dual blades, with her military background she would've been a nice Light or Heavy Bowgun main.
Good point actually. A military person can choose from a bunch of weapons and for some reason choose awkward swords over a big gun.

"No! That's not what I said or implied, you numpty!"
My experience with RUclips comment sections summed up in ten words.
It’s a little embarrassing to say but I was a kid and monster Hunter stories was my first game and I later played generations as my first main game experience and soon after 4U then I went and played some older games and then played Gen Ultimate then World and now I have 40 hours in rise already and have finished it
Stories seems like a good game tbh. Haven't played it myself but I don't see any problems with it.
this is a really nice small channel i am happy i found this was a great video to watch keep making shit i am sure your gonna blow up someday i love monster hunter to
You have no idea how much this means to me, thank you 💖💓💗
@@TheMajesticJunkyard great, keep making videos ill be watching (:
That was a great rundown of your movie
I have asked this question before on other videos without really getting an answer, but I will ask it again. Don't you have to be born a Hunter? No average schmuck can just train to be able to pick up swords and hammers and gun lances that weigh more than they do. I remember learning that all Hunters are descendants of the genetically modified super-soldiers of the Ancient Civilization. So how in the hell was Artemis, a well-trained but still standard human from Earth, expected to be able to just automatically be as good as literal superhumans with just a bit of training?
About the tigrex invasive species tigrex you could use gormagala as a catalyst for this mass migration tigrex/other monsters.
I can really tell you enjoyed making this video, I can feel the hunter passion therefore making it hella entertaining :)
All I wanted was the lead killing Rathalos trying to get a plate and never getting for 1.5 hours, only to tease that she *may* get it in the sequal.
Here's the plot I was looking for. The hunter raging after beating rathalos upside the head 12 times and then popping off when they finally got the gem.
@@SPZ-gv2on Better idea: It was an Anjanath Gem from some random Anjanath that got in the middle of it.
When the theme for Niko from Wind Waker plays in the background you know something is a joke lol
Another Freedom Unite brother!! :D Don't see many of those! We're ACE/veterans ;) maybe even retired!
Oh mate, it has been a LOOONG time, but i still have the memories... both good and bad
This video takes me back to old school youtube
A show would be better imo.
Shagaru being the 'final boss', is a good choice.
_if we can have a tobi hunt that they fail to. instant 10/10._
Intro: *"sips tea* ..........i fucking *love* monster hunter"
Fucking earnt a like instantly XD
Im just imagining him thinking about monster hunter and then going on a rant in his room all by himself with nobody actually there
That is absoLUTELY what happened
I thought the opening scene of this movie was pretty fun, outside of treating Diablos like sandsharks.
If they just focused on the actual world of Monster Hunter instead of immediately cutting to the real world and making those people the main characters, then it could have been a much better movie.
Also there were so many cuts in fight scenes with Tony Jaa, instead of just letting him shine as the martial artist he is.
I remember seeing this movie at that theater with my mom and it’s the same day I got my PlayStation 5 for Christmas and that’s the day I saw Monster Hunter and I will never forget that day at all good memories too for me back then
I love the groose theme from skyward sword in the background
Replace tigrex with deviljho and that's a good storyline, they're invasive, cause mass extinctions and are unpredictable enough to take out even the more experienced hunters if they slip up. It also could come out of nowhere kill the tigrex or whatever they think killed the father and then the realise, it was this cucumber. On the flip side you did amazing and deserve way more subs
It could even be that he was expecting a deviljho but it was actually the first discovery of savage deviljho and he wasn't prepared for how much stronger it was.
I would 100% watch the movie pitch he gave
I'm honestly just glad that the movie included a Palico in any sense.
The bug monster you mentioned is not a bug it is a spider called nerscylla

This is deep psychoanalsis.
I'm to wrapped up in video Games, movies, and anime.
And I know some people are going to say: "But Geralt noted how he didn't take fall damage either in World, so that's just the verse being weird with gravity," and to that I respond with: that's non-canon, and if you do take it as canon, then you have a Behemoth sized power influx into the verse, which makes the situation _even worse._
Then in the movie, Artemis is keeping up with the hunters.
I was kinda working on the idea of, if there would be sequels, kinda deal? So having elder dragons would be later down the line to amp up the stakes
@@TheMajesticJunkyard Ah, that makes more sense. You could porbably tell, but my thought process was a 1 movie deal
Most lore accurate part of movie is when Cephalos come out of the desert sand and jump scare the hell out of you and take your last bit of health lol
Sort of the rough idea.
i like how every single mh fan (including me) comes up with a better plot structure that's sounds semi similar (except, i would adapt the original monster hunter story, where the big bad is fatalis )
1.protagonist is a child in a village
2.big bad happens
3.protagonist becomes hunter
4.monster hunter shenanigans
5.protagonist deals with big bad
6.the end
It's "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" (and also mh:stories) ! It's classic! And you can do so much with this simple structure!
Make a dumb fun movie about hunters breaking monsters left and right,
make a film about enviromentalism, ecology and the circle of life,
make a film about the nature of revenge,
make a film about the conflict between humans and nature
and that's just from the top of my head!
I love monster hunter very much, and whenever i remember what a wastefull disgrace this fucking film, it makes my blood boil
Dude I think you would be the perfect director for the next monster hunter movie!.
Been playing since freedom unite and when I saw the announcement for a movie man I was hyped... and then instead of a monster hunter movie we got Paul Anderson 2 Electric Boogaloo
Loved your video
Just thought the background music was too loud
But keep up the good work!
In that story of yours... I think it would be great if the hunters are struggling with Blangonga. But Tigrex mops the floor with it easily.
"Because I want to see that featherless f*cking bird die."
I'll drink to that. Lol!
You wrote a 50x better story in a few minutes then actual movie makers made in a year...
Bravo my good sir, you have done monster hunter well
This movie rlly should've been a mix of jurassic park meets detective pikachu
Bro you nail it, you fuxking nail if you are the writer I pretty sure the movie will be a block buster .
Exactly monster hunter has a great story and lore already built in.
They did not do my boy Gore Magala justice
Good to see a take on this movie from an actual fan of the game series.
You should honestly make the Next movie, i'd watch that 100%
I mean we got the big sand whale and the smaller monsters but still i understand what you mean but from someone who has done alot of indepth lore and stuff i enjoy the movie alot because i think it was a good introduction to a maybe good series i mean its just a starting movie and intro
Please.
It’s basically Monster Hunter with the plot from the movie Enemy Mine.
I would add "when the Tigrex is down... The town is in danger because of the Lao-Shang Lung"
Got mad ptsd when I heard the cup head sunflower boss music
Beginning was kinda dull, until it hits the 2/3 of the video. Some real thoughts and opinions and that portion of review is real entertaining.
The tigrex lore he made up is actually kinda accurate if you think about it...
As someone who is a noob at MHW, the script you gave is super easy to follow without having to know much about the Monster Hunter lore.
That intro had the same energy as "I love refrigerators"
I think you should do some more monster hunter videos
Trying to see positives in this is like saying "You know... not all of this piece of shit smells horrible! If you stand in the direction of the wind, you can barely smell the bad parts, while only getting this slight sweet savory smell without the nauseating part" But then 2 seconds later the wind changes again
That elder dragon is called gore magala
While my friends and I were watching the movie one made the comment when she first passes out from the spider they should of had palicos cart her off and it would have been great, but yeah that didnt happen, made us laugh our asses off though.
It is a movie mainly to watch monsters and effects. I liked the visuals, and i did not care for story, same as in monster hunter games xD I think second movie will be much better, cuz it'll be more on island than desert, and more monsters will be revealed. At least I hope so ':|
I am a causal fan of the Monter Hunter game I only played Monster Hunter World and that’s it I played and I did also played Monster Hunter Rise for a little bit but I play more of MHW more than MHR and I really did enjoyed the movie for what it was and I really did love Milla Jovovich in that movie and she was really good in the Resident Evil movies too and I’m a huge fan of the games of that franchise and I don’t get the hate for the movies at all but that’s just my honestly opinions bro 😎
You mean "remobra", not "cephalos"

I completely agree with you. Nice video sir. By the way, is the dragon at the end supposed to be Gore Magala?? I hope not, they already ruined one of my favourite monsters (Nerscylla).
The end monster was supposed to be gore yeah. Not sure why it had a beard. I just hope this movie did badly enough to scrap the sequel.
Gormagala at the end was so badass
Lmao in that mh movie they fighting a fire monster using fire element weapon! Not just that they even use low rank weapon to fight a high rank monster lmao
I was excited for it too. I knew it would be bad, but not THIS bad. I went in with the lowest of low expectations, and was still disappointed.
My verdict , wasn't too bad, but it should have been great , there should have been an extra hour to build the world , and ....... DEFINITELY MORE MONSTERS !!!
Ron Perlman and the Rag-tag Monster Crew
I’ve never played mh but even I know when it’s incorrect
the bug boys where nerscilla, the most recent game its in is generations ultimate
I think a Quero Peco inciting the Tigrex incident would be better
The monster hunters movie is sort of in the rush tbh what words can we put in?
I'm rather sad that this is the most positive review I've seen for this movie. I've only played MHW and absolutely love it, and I was fine with the movie. It wasn't a great movie, maybe not even a good one, but I found it still enjoyable/entertaining and was really excited at every detail from MHW that I saw pop up in the movie.
This guy: makes an example of how to tell an acceptable story
Hollywood: write that down! write that down!
Wait this man made event horizon? That movie was amazing as a concept. It's one of the few movies where the characters make all the right decisions and still lose. The first thing Morpheus said when he realised some shit was going down there was that they were leaving immediately.
you look like a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt
