I don’t think germ has said that (correct me if I’m wrong🤧) but it’s definitely implied in fire and blood that Jace is a very capable and charismatic heir, also noble houses in the book didn’t seem to care about the rumors about his (or his brothers) legitimacy (except the greens ofc). But grrm likes sending perfect heirs to an early grave🤧🤧
