Rhaenyra and her sons 😭😭 Luke, my baby gone too soon
Also, I will not stand for any hate on a child. Negative comments will be deleted - so don't waste your time.
Lucerys and Arrax, two scared children fighting the storm, trying to honorably carry a message, trying to save each other.
😭😭😭😭
actually, Aemond was just taunting Lucerys, but Arrax got out of control and attacked first, which angered Vhager, so Vhager went out of control as well.
@@249_7Come on we all know what Aemond was doing, he was up to no good. The only good thing is he'll get what he deserves (thank you Daemon)

The Targaryen heir!
I love that Lord Corlys treats Lucerys like he’s his grandson even though he knows the truth. Some will argue that he’s only doing it because “history remembers names” but I think this goes deeper and there’s a clear message that even though they are different and from different backgrounds there can still be love, honor, and respect. 😁
Even if his intention is that of legacy, you can't fake that caring and the soft voice he makes when he talks to him and when he stands to protect him. That's love even if is not that "evident".
There are no Velaryon bastards. Its a House tradition.
@@gabicorrea8750 hate to break it to ya sweetheart but that sounds an awful lot like some sort of Mummer’s Farce. 😆
Luke was such an adorable and innocent kid. His innocence makes people wants to love him and protect him. Including Sea Snake. Including me, lol. I weeped for his death so long.
I also love how he took a glance to all his grand children surrounding the painted table ( who berothred to each other ) and then declared to Rhaenyra immediately. He is ambitious man, but he is so for his family, and he puts his family first.
lol he got cucked
Fought a dragon like a Targaryen, buried in the sea like a Velaryon.
How strong he was!
"I don't want it. If I'm the Lord of Driftmark, it means everyone's dead."
Rest in peace Lucerys Targaryen, he was a good boy. 😭
Meanwhile Aemond:I am the next in line if they came looking for me I intend to be found.
I usually get so upset over dragon deaths (Dany's dragons) but man, Luke was my favorite. His death made me more sad than Arrax's and I loved that baby dragon too. 😭 My only comfort is he'll be with his father now.
It was Arrax‘s terror that made it so devastating. They were both frightened children and trying to save each other.
The utter futility that Aemond wasn’t even trying to kill them makes it even crueller. At least Aemond lost his eye from Luke trying to protect his brother and cousins. Luke lost his life because Aemond wanted to scare a child.
@@rilasolo113 I fully agree! Everyone is on about how it's supposed to be very important what Aemond wanted to do! He had bullying intents and at the end, an innocent, honorable boy lost his life.

Luke’s death was so heartbreaking. Especially more because they showed how Rhaenyra loved and cared for him in an earlier scene. Wasn't ready for him to go...! 💔
the constant holding of his hand is what gets me tearing up, he was definitely Rhaenyra's heart, it will darken now he is dead.
I was truly hoping to see him as an adult he was so innocent & young you could see in his face he didn’t want to go deliver the message when jacaerys said ( send us) and when he was riding his 🐲 he kept looking back 😭😭❤️🩹❤️🩹 & how he was holding his mom’s hand ( rhaenyra) 🥺😩
Rhaenyra was raising kings, while Alicent was raising tyrants.
Can’t really blame her. Alicent took an example from her vile father.
Yes, but not everything is good. Although Rhaenyra's children are certainly Valyrians, they are not legitimate Targaryens. That in the end can be both good and bad, because although the Targaryen blood is purified from the "incestuous taint", the changes in appearance can cause many conflicts as well. On the other hand, we can't know if Jacaerys would have been a good king, either he could die prematurely or end up being a crazy tyrant, who knows.
And it's not that the Velaryons did very well either, in the future they will be far from being the richest family in the entire kingdom, in my opinion, mainly because that idea that "name is more important than blood", It was way ahead of its time and that worked against them.
@@isaiassantiago they ARE Targaryans, but they're bastards.
Maybe corlys was right,it's not remember blood but name
Maybe because Viserys cared only about Rhaenyra? Alicent’s children, especially Aemond, knew they are alone.
All the talk is about Aemond, but Lucerys had guts. He faced that situation no matter how awkward, uncomfortable, and possibly terrifying it was, like a man. Respect.
"a son for a son, Lucerys will be avenged" Daemon Targaryen
No he won't be what we will see will be an even lower act that lucerys would never have approved or wished.
He wouldn't even approve that Otto in ep 9 orchestrated the murder of his entire family.
@@sergio2174-x8e i'm not saying Otto is better but he dosen't call what he wanted to do revenge Daemon calls the disgusting miserable and cowardly thing he will do revenge.
@@antonioscafuri756 We are in Westeros revenge is something on the agenda and concepts such as morality are matters of point of view.
Do you think Robb would have considered Arya's revenge against the Frey house something cruel or that John didn't approve of what Sansa did to Ramsy or that Remly considered Stannis' execution cowardly.
And then if there is anyone to blame for blood and cheese and for all the war and Allicent who first says that Rheanyra would have been a great queen then takes Viserys' words on her deathbed to be true and not just the longings of a old.
@@sergio2174-x8e are you truly comparing those things to blood and cheese? And again i'm not saying the greens are the good guys or that they are right but what Daemon did wasn't revenge just sadism just like what aegon will force rhaenyra's son (aegon the younger) to see it won't be revenge just sadism.
The fact that the episode showed how sweet and well-mannered of a boy Lucerys is made his demise extra heartbreaking :c
Elliot Grihault the actor who plays Lucerys did an amazing job. He delivered the character's vulnerability and bravery. Gonna miss him on the show 😢
Prince Lucerys of house Velaryon was not made like these other men. He was not hungry for power or glory. He simply wanted to live for, love, and honor his family.

@@Kzvsn11 I lost my own son 2 years ago so I know what it feels like as a mother losing your baby boy. Fiction is not only meant as entertainment, they are also meant to evoke real emotions from you.
Someone who is incapable of feeling for others going through similar experiences that you have, even if they are only fictional characters who never existed, probably lacks empathy and feelings towards others in real life too. I hope that's not the case for you.

She also lost all sense of shame when she tried to make her bastard son with not a drop of Velaryon blood, the Heir to Driftmark and got her pimp, er uncle er husband to kill a true Velaryon for speaking up about that travesty.
@@gerardjagroo I'm not saying you're wrong, but Lord Corlys doesn't care about blood, he only cares about names. He is the one who voluntarily offered the inheritance to Luke, and as long as he lives, only what he says counts. If Rhaenyra didn't have Corlys' and Rhaenys' support, she wouldn't have gotten her way anyway. So it's pointless to argue otherwise since the only people whose opinion matters in this case support her.
Either way, I always find it weird that people bring up all those accusations against Rhaenyra regardless of context. Here, I'm literally just mourning the loss of her son. Even if she were an absolute monster, if she loves her children deeply, I would sympathize with her hardship because I went through the same thing. I literally don't care about anything else she has done and it's not like anyone is saying she is a saint. Whether her children are bastards should not affect whether she, and especially Luke, are entitled to sympathy.
I kinda felt bad for the dragon, too. When Luke was coming out of the castle and arrax was looking around really stressed, it reminds me of my dog panicking when there is loud fireworks
Dragons are smarter than men -Tyrion Lannister
Poor Arrax, he was a good boy until the end.
Even when Aemond had Vhagar taunt him with a bite (before they were pursued), he still didn’t do anything.
Laenor loves his boys. He said it himself. And so, they are Velaryon.
Rhaenrya sent him to Storm’s End because it was closer than the Vale and Winterfell and she thought he would be safer going to the Baratheons where he should have gotten a Prince’s welcome! And would have is Aemond had T gotten there first! She was trying to protect him 😢
Nah he’d have been safer going to the Vale because he is more directly descended from the Arryns than he is to the Baratheons (the Greens probably didn’t even bother putting in an effort to sway the Vale because they’re pretty much an automatic Black ally) and furthermore, he is skirting a dangerous proximity to King’s Landing by flying from Dragonstone to Storm’s End.
I personally thought it was stupid to send him there.
If Jace had been sent to Storm’s End, Aemond might not have done what he did.
Or, Rhaenys could have gone to Storm’s End, or Daemon.
Rhaenys was flying in that direction anyway to get to the stepstones to patrol it.
But if the situation had been swapped, and Jace was at Storm’s End, and Luke was sent to the Vale and the North, he’d have been safe in the Vale, and in the North, nobody would try anything on him - because it would definitely lose the aggressor the support of the Starks. They hold honour above all, and would never ally with someone who attacked a messenger/guest.
The Baratheons however likely won’t change their mind, they’ll remain Green.
@@CeruleanSword oh he would have been safe in Vale I’m just saying Storms End is closer. Rhaenrya had no idea that Aemond would be there. She thought she was sending Luc for a short ride to see the Baratheons who would have welcomed them warmly had Aemond not been there to influence and talk to him prior to his arrival. It SHOULD have been a safe trip for an inexperienced rider and fighter like Luc. There should have been no issue delivering a message and going home. They are more closely related to the Arryns but they are related to the Baratheons as well.
I think sending Rhaenys would have been smartest given that her mother was a Baratheon. But it also makes sense to have Rhaenys working with Coryls in the gullet. Sea and air.
@@allshookup1640
Yes I know, I understand what you are saying, yet I still think it was unsafe to send him to Storm’s End. Before he even went, I thought it was dangerous. Storm’s End may be closest to Dragonstone but it still is literally the closest Lord paramount holding to King’s Landing. Otto already informed Rhaenyra that the Baratheons etc. were considering ‘generous terms’, so it wasn’t unthinkable that a Green Targaryen would be there.
When you consider this one simple fact: Luke was sent closest to King’s Landing, and he died. Everyone else was sent further away.
Do you see what I am saying? It is a simple matter for the Greens to travel to Storm’s End to gather their support so I automatically assumed it wouldn’t just be a ‘simple trip’ for Luke.
You say that Luke is descended from the Baratheons - well so is Aemond. So are Aegon and Helaena. The Vale is tied through relevant blood ‘only’ to the blacks and not the greens.
That’s why I can’t understand why Rhaenyra thought the Baratheons would be more welcoming than the Arryns.
Whereas with the Vale, there likely aren’t any Greens there. They’ll be prioritising who they want to sway with their direct presence and since they have only three dragon riders (and it’s a risk to send Aegon because he’s the King, and Helaena because she’s the Queen, so they have one that they can send for a message), the Vale won’t be at the top of their list.
Of the three places Luke and Jace went to, Storm’s End is the likeliest Aemond would fly to - or Riverrun, but that’s not important here. My point is Luke was sent to the most risky of the three options.
@@CeruleanSword no no I completely get what you are saying! And I agree with you! It makes complete sense tactic wise. I was just saying I think Rhaenrya BELIEVED it to be safer at the time and that is why she sent Luc there. I don’t think she considered that a Green would be there or if she did she didn’t think they would attack. It was a fatal mistake. She did tell the boys not to engage in any fighting if they encountered any. They were just messengers. In fairness, Aemond didn’t intentionally kill Luc, but he set it up by chasing him and making him and therefore Arrax terrified.
Rhaenrya wasn’t even trying to attack she was just putting out feelers for loyalty. Luc committed no crime. He was just delivering a note. He SHOULD have been safe because Aemond should have left him be and not been a petty little brat and chased after him leading to Vhagar disobeying and killing Arrax and Luc as a result.
@@CeruleanSword plus the Greens had given Rhaenrya terms and she said she would answer the next day. They are not at war, yet. They are discussing options to see IF the two sides will go to war. We all know they will, but there was no reason that a Green should have attacked Luc when war hadn’t been declared and Rhaenrya hadn’t rejected their terms yet.

I love Lucerys Velaryon so much going to miss him❤❤❤. I don’t like some people whose are with the greens for hating Rhaenyra because she had sons from Harwin and not Laenor they even call her sons bad words and insults them which is disturbing. At least they tried to have children together but it didn’t work so she had with Harwin with her husband agreeing to it but when Cerci did it with her brother in game of thrones and had his children and lying to the king who thinks it his children they even became kings, I didn’t see people say something bad about them or insult them for being the children of someone’s other than her husband so I really am so disappointed with people mind or how they think. Also Rhaenyra children’s are Velaryon because Laenor accepted them as his and no one can change that it is exactly like how when some one adopt a child now you should accept them as being the children of who they want to be if not that mean people really don’t care about children’s mental state because if you did that it could hurt a child emotionally which lead to depression and it make you a bully.
