Cooling a home is almost always an after thought. It is something to keep in mind at the design stage. Traditional houses had clay roofs and verandhas and courtyards to deal with this heat. Modern houses can use hollow porotherm blocks, aac blocks to reduce heat from the walls. Cool roof tiles or filler slab technique can be used on the roof. We have to do better designs instead of fitting exhaust fans afterwards.

Exhaust fan വയ്ക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചവർക്ക് ചില നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ:
1. ബെഡ് റൂമിൽ നിന്നും മറ്റ് മുറിയിലേക്ക് ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന എയർ ഹോൾ ഭംഗിയായി അടയ്ക്കണം.
2. Exhaust fan Crompton Trans air(6"/9"/12"/15"/18") ( metal type) തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക ശബ്ദം കുറവായിരിക്കും എന്ന് കരുതി പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് ടൈപ്പ് വാങ്ങി വയ്ക്കരുത് Suction വളരെ കുറവാണ്.
3. Clock wise / Anti clock wise കറങ്ങുന്ന exhaust fan ലഭ്യമാണ് (ലഭിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഒരു ടൂ വേ സ്വിച്ച് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് മാറ്റാവുന്നതാണ് ).
4. കോൺക്രീറ്റ് ചൂടാവാതിരിക്കാൻ ഒരു Green house ചിലവ് ചുരുക്കി ചെയ്തു വയ്ച്ചാൽ നല്ലത് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ Perforated sheet ( Hole sheets) ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒരു plain type truss work ചെയ്തു വയ്ച്ചാൽ നല്ലത് ( കൂടുതൽ നിലനിൽക്കും ).
