Another great faction focus for Warmaster Revolution. Thanks for doing all of these - this is quite some work. I hope that you will do the wood elves soon. I am currently printig myself am WM wood elves army from the Forest Dragon patreon and i would really like to know the strengths and weaknesses of this particular faction.
With the rules for a few factions having been revamped, have you considered doing a followup video of all the changes, or maybe redoing some of the older videos?
Oh, I love these. I am prepared for when one of the 3D artist will release Beastmen units. The Eureka and Lancer Miniatures ones just don't cut it for me (also I have some spare models form both and they paint up nicely, just don't want to glue 200 tiny shields to my beasts), Magister Militum have some cute bears but I don't feel like these stand up well in a grim warhammerish setting. I guess I agree with most of your points. Only on the Centigors and Shaggoth I disagree, I feel like Centigors should be able to move inside of a forest (would make these 3/3/6+ monster with the ability to move inside terrain as if they were infantry for 75-90pts). And the Shaggoth is such a nice model (talking about the Warhammer one, with these tiny beastmen crawling all over him), I would love to have him something like the Norses mammoth but using him as a giant is also fine I guess. I'll have a look at your list and proxy it with my tiny green -goblins- beasts.
It would be guesswork to review them without playtesting but I can do a "this how they play" style video for nippon and cathay. Wood elves are next on the list.

Yes changes can be proposed and introduced. But previously there have not been enough beastmen players to voice their concerns. Hopefully this will change in the future. Also not everyone agrees with me that the list is bad.

If it was Gors and Ungors instead, and the Gors actually had stats to represent them properly I'd be 100% on board since it was always my favorite chaos army/type. Maybe I'll see how the list does if I replace the Beastherd with Orcs and call them Gors. 🤔

Your next challenge is to renew and update all of the army list videos to align to the recent changes. Please… just think how many new hits your channel would get 😀
Man, the Best_men get not break they seems to be awfull everywhere, execpt maybe in Vermintide 2. Also there are civilise beast-men in Ind, that would be nice to mention them.
I’m a little bit interested on why the warmaster community doesn’t feel empowered to “fix” some of the lists that have such obvious issues? Is the feeling that they remain GW’s creation and responsibility to alter?
Nope. They were a chaos unit origially. Back in 3rd edition fantasy. And in 4th and 5th edition. They were then put in the 6th edition book with the beastmen, along with trolls, and ogres, for the reasons I explain in the video. They were put back in the Chaos list in 7th edition and 8th edition. They never reappeared in the beastmen list, so I don't consider them a true unit entry. It was just unfortunate timing that warmaster was released when the 6th edition beastmen list was the template for the army.
@@iainmstanding So...yes. They are a Beastmen unit, as they do literally appear in the Beastmen books. Therefore, it makes sense that they would appear in this since, once again, they ARE are Beastmen unit that IS included in their army book. Also, they fit Beastmen far, faaar more than they do Chaos Warriors. Not to mention that they are still a part of the Beastmen in Age of Sigmar, so even in that game they are still included in the faction.

Chaos spawn is an odd choice. Transmuting into a spawn is the "reward" for chaos championns who stumble on the path to ascension.

While I'm happy they get chariots I must admit I'm jealous that wood elves lost them.

Yes I release yearly videos that explain the changes to each faction.
Maybe when there are no further changes to make I can re do the faction videos.

They should have been cavalry from the start. A welcome change. They are good for blunting enemy charges with the shooting attack.

Yes the rules committee can alter lists if there is enough consensus. So far there has not been a consensus that the list needs fixing.
Thanks for the answer. Consensus is often a tricky thing to achieve. Not just around war game balance.
