- We were able to go to Cape Lookout, NC and see the beautiful ocean on the uninhabited island. Great place for shelling and a beautiful lighthouse.

I love Cape Lookout! If you have a 4wd drive vehicle you should take ferry for your vehicle and camp, it’s so nice to be able to drive the entire length of the island and set up camp wherever and have the beach all to yourself!
Welcome to NC I live near New Bern I’ve been there many a times. Plan over night camping trip there one time so you don’t feel rushed
We were just in New Bern today and loved it! And yes we definitely will plan more time at cape lookout the next time we go. We also want to rent the UTV to get around quicker.
NC is a wonderful place to live. I am a native North Carolinian and know how loving and kind NC people are to everyone. Please know though they are not receptive to anyone from the Morman cult. Eastern NC is definitely Baptist/Pentecostal state.
We have loved living here so far and everyone has been so kind to us 😊
