The thing about all those years dedicated in practice when nobody was looking wondering about the value in what you were doing. Well...an impactful legacy arises acknowledged by kindred spirits.
It sounds like water gently cascading down a rocky mountain creek. Super wicked!! So amazing that they did this for you without you knowing. And you deserve it. And the fact that they dug deep into what you love and what you’ve chosen and put all that knowledge and love and expertise into this guitar for you. Wow… Congratulations my friend. ❤🎉
Congratulations J.P.. Nobody deserves it more. Very cool specs as well. Sounds ridiculous. The top end on that cannon is extremely glassy and beautiful. My teacher was a Taylor artist in 94. He left Taylor for Gallagher. The first guitar he got,......was a 7 string cutaway acoustic. Incredible guitar. He started playing a bluegrass medley that was incredible. Again, J.P.. Congratulations brother.
Very nice guitar and some sweet playing. It's nice to hear the notes ring out and I wish you'd play like that more often in stead of 120 miles per hour, a real joy to listen to. Congrats on your new guitar. All the best. : )
Congratulations Sir. Sounds phenomenal and so loud. Theres such a clarity and punch with the sound of the flatpick. I thought initially that it was Adirondack due to the creamy color but I was wrong. Once again, congratulations Sir you are amazing.
I've only just found your channel in Australia JP and mate I'm a fan. In OZ we believe in honesty, decency and a fair go, and in your reviews I see all of that! To have a relationship to a brand but not be influenced only by that shows great integrity. You signature guitar is a lesson not only in guitar manufacturing and quality, but hard work and commitment by the recipient. Well done old mate, Cheers, Steve
Congrats, buddy! You deserve it! I have long watched your stuff. Anyntime im thinking about buying a new acoustic, i always look and see if youve reviewed or had anything to say about the company before i do. And with great results. Becuase of you I found a great home in my Furch guitars. Gallagher guitars are legend for a reason. So happy for ya.
Couldn't agree more. Thanks to Jim Hurst I own a '79 Doc and thanks to J.P. I have Furch, Yamaha, and RK that all sound very good in their own way. Thanks guys, and yes a Boucher is on the want list.!😉
One of the only humans I've seen act accordingly to getting his own signature line from a phenom builder. Anyone worth they're salt,......would cry as well. Can't wait to see the vine inlays.
WOW! BRAVO!!! HUGE CONGRATS. Totally deserved and well earned. Hope to try someday! Worth a trip down to Gruhn's or wherever the finest guitars are sold.
Beautiful guitar, beautiful playing, wonderful sound. Well deserved. I had an Avalon with that same wood combination, which I should not have sold. Your guitar has the same dynamic range that I remember from the Avalon: beautifully delicate and fluid when played softly, but very coherent and musical when played loudly.
Congrats. You deserve it. You’re an incredible talent, and you’re an incredible Canadian. Simply put, they see what we all see, so it all makes sense. Beautiful.
Greetings from Australia J.P , congratulations on that fine piece of playable art, what an honour for someone who truly deserves it, your love of and contribution to the world of acoustic guitars and music is recognised and appreciated obviously, I take it that it is long scale as it takes alternate tuning very well and just rings out, I mostly love Mahogany sound and not so much Rosewood.....this is something else, it still has some nice warmth sonically but combined with some great overtone (not over the top) coming forth, as we say here "what a ripper" it's awesome 😢😂.
@@BillySoundFarm I have an early model Alvarez MD60CE with solid cider top and mahogany back and sides. It’s a sweet sounding guitar with some sick neck action. Love that guitar.
Well John i just got back from a trip to the east coast. Now i am catching up on some videos. WOW! Really nice guitar!! Congrats I want to say that is a beautiful guitar and even more so the gesture to have a signature model made in your honour. So i am currently in the market for an all solid guitar, my "forever" never need to buy another acoustic guitar. (We guitarists know that will probably never happen) but thats what i tell myself and my wife lol. Anyhow i own many guitars and i play them all but i want a nice all solid wood acoustic that can do everything from cowboy chords to well voiced finger style. However I, like yourself will never own a Martin unless i inherit one, soley for the cost of them. I have been in the market for a while and played everything from Windsor Ontario to St Johns Newfoundland that i could get my hands on. I have come to the sad realization that Boucher Larrivee Gallagher Taylor Martin Their high end solid wood guitars are all in the I cant afford price range which translates to never own. I could never justify paying $5000-6500 plus for a guitar from one of the above mentioned companies. I just dont understand how guitar companies can justfy their asking prices. When did 1500 bucks buy you a decent entry to intermediate level guitar???? Its no wonder there are so many counterfeit and knock off guitars being imported from overseas. Hell the major brands are all made thwre anyways lol. A mass produced epiphone les paul runs 1200+ in canada. I guess us hard working poor folk "middle class" can never be able to own a well made solid wood guitar. Unless we take out a small mortgage loan for years on a payment plan. OR we build our own like Normand Boucher did for his son when he asked for a martin D45. It would be nice as a canadian to have more than one option and be able to buy a solid wood guitar from a canadian builder for under 2000. (Support local) Only thing I have found close was a higher end Norman acoustic now owned and made by Godin. I really liked your prototype guitar sounded amazing and pretty looking. Any idea what the pricing of one of them will look like?
Congratulations. Walnut is allegedly an old-timey North American tonewood and that is the most visually stunning sample I have ever seen. That OM sounds better than any dreadnaught I own.
JP , I put your U-Tube on today on my lap. When I looked up, you were wearing a black Johnny Cash t shirt and I thought I was looking in the mirror because I am wearing a black Johnny Cash t shirt too!!!
What will happen to the pro type? It looks like gallegar is showing a birdseye maple JP signature model. I loved the sound of this walnut one. And love the cutaway.
As a fan of your musicianship and channel, I would love to hear you talk about and explain your signal chain when you play at say a small/large venue. Do you use a pickup or microphone, what kind? reverb? eq? equipment? etc.
Fabulous guitar JP! So happy for you. You’ve earned. That first finger style tune you played on this vid was beautiful. What is the name and composer of that song?
Beautiful guitar! You always have such a clear sound. How do you record these demos microphone etc. I work with Martin and Collings guitars but can’t seem to achieve the sound I have in my head. You do! How?
Very cool to have your own signature guitar, and it sounds great! You mentioned first fret clearance of 18 thousands on the low E. What clearance do you prefer on the other 5 strings?
You know I’m a wooden boat guy JP well, you probably don’t know that because I’ve never commented on one of your videos before but here I am a WoodenBoat guy sticking my nose in probably where it doesn’t belong so I don’t know how to play I have never played. I mean once I had my brothers banjo and I managed to try to learn how to play anything. García played on a banjo And proceeded to break every string but anyway, I’m a wooden boat guy and I love your videos like to meet you sometime I know sometimes you get to Maine maybe we will see you maybe I’ll learn how to play you’re making this guy who just found your channel 2 months ago ever so much more so.
I do so enjoy your videos, great content and great guitar playing. What’s better than that, except for puppies! As I’m scrolling through your vids I see ads for Zager guitars. I actually see them here there. and everywhere. Have you ever reviewed or tried them? Maybe Denny was a one hit wonder, radio wise, (oh did I get tired of hearing In the year 2525) but perhaps he makes a decent guitar? Anyway thanks for all you do and I wish you good health and peace Daja
I had to turn down my volume. Listening through old apple EarPod Pros and iPhone 12Pro. I never have to turn it down. It sounded like you were dynamiting the microphone. Is it REALLY THAT FUCKING LOUD? Holy String Theory, Pick-Man! That things got a motor on it!
The thing about all those years dedicated in practice when nobody was looking wondering about the value in what you were doing. Well...an impactful legacy arises acknowledged by kindred spirits.

You're now immortal.

Congrats JP, Great honor to receive your own signature model guitar for the second time. Beautiful guitar, and beautiful sounding guitar.
Congratulations J.P.. Nobody deserves it more. Very cool specs as well. Sounds ridiculous. The top end on that cannon is extremely glassy and beautiful. My teacher was a Taylor artist in 94. Yes indeed " Totally Awesome " I just might have to order me one, the full range of tonality & a cut away Yep!
Beautiful sounding guitar. and beyond excellent craftsmanship! The real solid lows and really balanced highs are fantastic.
I’ve played a black walnut guitar for thirty years. Love it’s tone.
Just wow!!!!Never hear no one play like you!!! Amazing!
Very nice guitar and some sweet playing. It's nice to hear the notes ring out and I wish you'd play like that more often in stead of 120 miles per hour, a real joy to listen to. Congrats on your new guitar. All the best. : )
You are so talented. Gallagher Guitars seen quite good.
Congratulations JP on your second signature model! Lovin the tone!
Congratulations Sir. Sounds phenomenal and so loud. Theres such a clarity and punch with the sound of the flatpick. I thought initially that it was Adirondack due to the creamy color but I was wrong. Once again, congratulations Sir you are amazing.
What an amazing sounding guitar! Very happy they made you a model! Well deserved! Hope to see one at Merelefest!!

Sounds great JP. As you said sounds very OM like but it does have something different in the crystalline low end response. Congratulations man.
Whoa ! What a Beautiful Guitar !! Congratulations !!!
Bravo mutual respect player and builder, I applaud Gallagher for their excellence and craftsmanship in Guitar building.
Congratulations, J.P.! It’s certainly an incredible honor and well-dedicated. A beautiful instrument!
That’s a cider top? That sounded like a spruce in my opinion. Wow! That’s super nice man.
Congrats J.P.

It sounds really great
What will happen to the pro type? It looks like gallegar is showing a birdseye maple JP signature model. I loved the sound of this walnut one. And love the cutaway.
What a beauty that is, sounds like it's made for playing fiddle tunes on.
This is the best sounding guitar i ever heard
That's awesome.
Sweet!!
JP is the best guitar salesman on this planet. No one else is even close.
They just get better thanks J P
Sounds great
You are so much fun
Congratulations! Well deserved 👏🎉
O.k how can I get No #2 ?
Who's the dealer in Ontario, Ca.
Gallager could have made Jp a garden rake and he could make it sound phenomenal… instead they made the perfect guitar for this amazing musician.
That GORGEOUS walnut is a pricey little option. Is the cedar top torrified????

I build mainly mandolins but just finished my first guitar. Walnut back and sides except I used adi spruce top. Yours sounds better!😂
Sounds huge!
