I don’t understand why they would want to make them the same. Every Disney should have a different city theme from a different planet. Bespin, tatooine, Death Star, etc.
Drew Sheppard Wouldve made sense for Disneyworlds to be based on Dagobah. Seeing as Dagobah is a swamp planet and disney world was basically built around swamplands 🤷🏻♂️.
I've been to Batuu West a million times so I'm also looking forward to comparing the two. I do wish Disney had put more thought in to the immersive part and made Batuu East it's own, separate SW location. It would have been so easy to make it "Red Spire Outpost" for example and say it's just on a different part of Batuu. If they want us to use our imagination and play along, then they can't go halfway. Star Wars fans are going to want to want to visit both. Regarding the black kyber crystal challenge, I got up to five reds before they sold out of them. No black yet. :(
Great video! We've seen plenty of videos that TALK about the differences b/t the two parks but actually SEEING the differences back to back (or split screen) is awesome.

Peter, I agree, since there are differences, would be cool to have different lands OT or something. Makes it worth it to travel to different states like different planets or time.

I think the issue with the fans and umbrellas is disney learned (finally!) from the toy story land opening. It was so hot with the lack of awnings or cover from the sun ppl and children were literally passing out. Disney doesn't need ppl sueing over heat stroke. They got a LOT of complaints about it.

I haven't been to Galaxy's Edge yet, and every RUclipsr I've seen has been to Disneyland, but I plan on going to Disney World because it's closer and I've been to Florida before, but nobody has talked about Savi's Workshop in Disney World. Savi's Workshop is the main thing I want to do at Galaxy's Edge and I don't want to miss out if it isn't as good as in Disneyland.

Great video guys! Hope you get your black crystal sooner rather than later. Took my family to Batuu west earlier this month and my son chose out of three reds the cast member offered and luckily got a black kyber! I had to send my wife in to get another actual red one to complete the collection. Good luck on you kyber hunt! May the force be with you, always
Wow! This trip looked like so much fun! Thanks for taking us on a comparison tour of the Battu(s). From a design perspective, it's neat to see how Disney didn't just copy and paste this land from the one in Disneyland, but gave each park it's own look and feel. Each park has it's own identity, and seems tailor made to their intended visitors. GE has gotten a lot of bad flack, and may have gotten off to a rough start, but don't all themed lands? I think with a little time, a little tweaking here and there, and with the opening of the second attraction later this year, GE will come into it's own and REALLY impress! We're so glad you're there to show us around and let us share in your crazy adventures! :)

I do think a lot of the flack the lands have gotten are not due to the quality of the lands but because people decided to stay away due to fear monger if of crowds and opening with only one ride. I think we’ll see a different story in the next year.

Mile wife and I are going on a trip to Disneyland next summer and possibly to Disney world to visit my Sister while she is there. We’re going to Florida in October, our first trip to a disney park since kids so we are super excited. We live in VA so California is a little far from us but hopefully one day we can come visit with cooler temperatures lol. We are used to the humidity though! Super excited to go and visit galaxys edge, we’re making droids, sabers, have a reservation at Oga’s and cant wait to do everything in between. Love your videos!!
I'm so jealous that Galaxy's Edge was still in construction when I came here in August 2018... I probably would have had to get an extra day because in 4 days I barely managed to go to every ride and every show I wanted to see once, except for Pirates of the Caribbean, Mission: Space and Rock 'n Roller Coaster which I needed to go on twice. And that's mostly due to the fact I stormed the queue at Flight of Passage first thing in the morning one day. Still, it looks like an amazing experience for a Star Wars fan, albeit a little pricy as far as souvenirs go. Still, that's nothing compared to the plane round trip from Romania I'd have to take.

You guys must have been here in Orlando sometime in the first 2 weeks of Batuu opening. We have had the black sleeve inserts in our red crystals since week 3. And as of yesterday the packaged red crystals have been completely sold out and they are selling loose crystals only from Savis stock. But just FYI, I managed to find 2 black crystals randomly in only 5 total purchases. No cheating! Love the vids and glad to see the comparisons. I doubt I’ll ever get out to Anaheim so it’s cool to watch your reviews from that side of Batuu.

We just got back from there and I noticed many differences already, in just a couple weeks. Maybe they change a bit with the season. When we were there, no modern looking earth furniture was to be found, nor the walmart looking fans, not even the umbrellas or water dispenser. All gone. There really wasn't a lot that takes away from the immersive experience. We loved everything about it. And as the cherry on top, I actually got a black kyber crystal with my first purchase totally at random. I was shocked. Took it back to the store to show them. They were very appreciative since the girls there said they've never seen one in person. They immediately tried it out in the holocrons etc. We had a blast. Then I bought a regular red one so I'd have one of those too. Was crazy. Love these videos. Just thought I'd share the differences I just saw last week.
@@OrdinaryAdventures the kyber thing was funny. The guy ahead of me was making a huge deal about it (which is why I heard the staff have never seen one). He was trying to sneak a peak with the light but got caught. They have the crystals out to pick your own, but there is a cast member there to watch people. Mine was just a random grab. My wife didn't know anything about it, but when I opened it my mouth and my daughter's mouth just dropped. I was in shock. But a great experience. I also wanted to note another difference or two. We got the blue milk without the alcohol and it was very frozen. So that might be a difference. Also the maps we got are different. You got glossy modern ones. Ours looked like weathered pirate maps. I grabbed a bunch as souvenirs :) Keep up the great work, and good luck on your black crystal hunt.

I literally take photos like that 8:31 (minus tie fighters) all the time with my phone. I can't believe they charge for that. Edit: Alright, that second photo you can't take with a phone.
The one at Disney World requires you to schedule an appointment via the Disney World app. We went Christmas Day and the Lightsaber Experience was booked through the 8th of January.
When I went to Disneyland in 2019, I didn't know I had to reserve a spot for Savi's workshop or Oga's Cantina. So I missed out on both of those. They also didn't have the ride The Rise of the Resistance open yet either. I just went to Hollywood Studios, Orlando, in February 2020. I wore Anakin Skywalker Jedi outfit, constructed a lightsaber at Savi's workshop. Then overpaid for drinks at Oga's Cantina. I was boarding group 41 for the Rise of the Resistance. It was totally awesome day. Also, the temperature stayed in the low 70s all day. So no fans. Lol. Also, the crowd was ten to twenty times more people when I went
I wonder if the colors are darker because they expect it to fade in the sun after a few years. Maybe paint holds up better with the more consistent sun in Batuu West

To be fair, the fact that you had to delve this deep to actually spot any differences is actually kinda impressive.
A lot of the differences are subtle
My favorite is the Fathiers of Canto Bight. They are Noble, gentle, powerful yet mistreated creatures.

You guys must have been here in Orlando sometime in the first 2 weeks of Batuu opening. We have had the black sleeve inserts in our red crystals since week 3. And as of yesterday the packaged red crystals have been completely sold out and they are selling loose crystals only from Savis stock.
But just FYI, I managed to find 2 black crystals randomly in only 5 total purchases. No cheating!

We just got back from there and I noticed many differences already, in just a couple weeks. Maybe they change a bit with the season. When we were there, no modern looking earth furniture was to be found, nor the walmart looking fans, not even the umbrellas or water dispenser. All gone. There really wasn't a lot that takes away from the immersive experience. We loved everything about it. And as the cherry on top, I actually got a black kyber crystal with my first purchase totally at random. I was shocked. Took it back to the store to show them. They were very appreciative since the girls there said they've never seen one in person. They immediately tried it out in the holocrons etc. We had a blast. Then I bought a regular red one so I'd have one of those too. Was crazy.

@@OrdinaryAdventures the kyber thing was funny. The guy ahead of me was making a huge deal about it (which is why I heard the staff have never seen one). He was trying to sneak a peak with the light but got caught. They have the crystals out to pick your own, but there is a cast member there to watch people. Mine was just a random grab. My wife didn't know anything about it, but when I opened it my mouth and my daughter's mouth just dropped. I was in shock. But a great experience.
I also wanted to note another difference or two. We got the blue milk without the alcohol and it was very frozen. So that might be a difference. Also the maps we got are different. You got glossy modern ones. Ours looked like weathered pirate maps. I grabbed a bunch as souvenirs :)

The one at Disney World requires you to schedule an appointment via the Disney World app. We went Christmas Day and the Lightsaber Experience was booked through the 8th of January.

Two big differences between the two is the pre-show queue line for rise of the resistance and there is an entrance for the Star Wars hotel guests.
When I went to Disneyland in 2019, I didn't know I had to reserve a spot for Savi's workshop or Oga's Cantina. So I missed out on both of those. They also didn't have the ride The Rise of the Resistance open yet either.
I just went to Hollywood Studios, Orlando, in February 2020. I wore Anakin Skywalker Jedi outfit, constructed a lightsaber at Savi's workshop. Then overpaid for drinks at Oga's Cantina. I was boarding group 41 for the Rise of the Resistance.
It was totally awesome day.
Also, the temperature stayed in the low 70s all day. So no fans. Lol.
