This makes me happy, I have a mini orchid and it lost off of its flowers then stem. I refused to throw it away cause all of the leaves were still really healthy and a new flower stem in growing now, after about 6 months of love and then releasing the poor thing needed to be repotted. .

Thanks. I posted your video on an Orchid Beginners Facebook Site, to show how orchids grow and are revived. I thank you for your inspiring video!

A few months ago I rescued a phal that was sunburnt and in really rough shape. The first flower spike had a misshapen and malformed flower, but the rest remained proper, if not fully unfolded. The second spike it shot up had fully formed flowers with pollen this time, but they never opened the full way either. I'm waiting for a third spike to pop up after this next leaf or so finishes forming to see how far along this guy is!

I've been caring for a mini grocery store orchid for a couple of months and everyone kept telling how hard they are to care for and that it would die. Well after a few lost flowers immediately after being it home, I have it producing a flower bud and aggressively growing new roots. They aren't nearly as difficult as I was lead to believe

Amazing video but I recommend aiming the flower stems when they grow so they go up instead that way it will be easier for you to have more flower stems from that one in the future

How did you water your orchid? Is it from the container in which the pot is inserted?

Where does the flower spike grow from? Is it higher on the plant from where the roots grow from?

Well this was just standard orchid soil from the gardening shop. If one is blooming that is fine, the next ones will appear soon.

Is that water underneath a smaller pot inside a bigger pot?

That fascinates me. I've just pruned my first orchid yesterday, it lost all the big leaves, but it has a few flowers still and a growing leaf. I've seen some small fresh roots while pruning. I'm excited about starting this green journey! 😁 Thank you very much for the time-lapse!
