Your orchids are absolutley beautiful! I manage to get my orchids to bloom, but very few flowers compared to yours. No drainage holes and keeping the orchid roots moist (not letting them dry out) is new to me. Looking forward to more videos.
Thanks. I do let them to dry occasionally , but not fully dry. They consume water, so there is no always need for drainage holes. I will be posting more.
Thank you for making me feel much more at ease about potting medium and pots and watering. I am just beginning and have watched so many videos that have me terribly confused and feeling frustrated. So very glad I found you and my goal is to have orchids everywhere! Yours are absolutely gorgeous and I’m feeling much more motivated! ❤️🥰
OMG ! Alex they are incredible! Love your Orchids, I have been rowing mone for almost 2 years but still having issues! most recently with Mealy Bugs!!!!
Your orchids are splendid and it's so interesting to see you grow them in glass containers with no air holes. I would like to try this and I'll be following you with much interest.
Hi Alex, hope you are well and your orchids are thriving. Please Alex, share with us how you set up your lighting system and we want another orchids follow up please.. You are brilliant. Thank you
You have a green fingers I could say. Never seen anything like this in my life. I love your ORCHIDS they are so healthy & beautiful. Thank you so much for your video.
Your orchid s are gorgeous I just found your channel wow you blew my mind it is wonderful, can’t wail to see more and learn from you. I am 79 but I love orchards.. we moved into a senior subdivision it is a home you have to be 55 to live in here. I gave away all my orchards, but mu grandchildren have given me a few as gifts. I would love to Lenard from you my orchards have a lot of aerial roots would love to learn to plant in glass. Thank you I am so excited to learn 😅
Alex I am blown away by your beautiful work!! I came right home and repotted one of mine in glass. I don’t think I can add a photo or I don’t know how!! But PLEASE tell me how to water now thank I spent so much time making this beautiful glass arrangement but I want your advice. I keep checking for another video from you but none yet. So if you could comment I would greatly appreciate it. You are awesome and NO ONE has orchids like this.
Thank you so much. I hope you have used quite large pieces of pine bark , left sime spaces for roots to grow but the orchid is not swinging :) if so, then i would fill the vase with water after the roots go silverish color (dry) for about 5-10 minutes and then flip it to drain (holding the orchid a little bit) nothing should be falling out. Maybe a few pieces of bark. When the roots will fill the vase you wont need to soak it anymore, just add a little bit of water once a week or so. I will be filming more. But remember- bad experience is also an experience. Not all of my orchids are big and healthy. I have lost some in my journey
Hey Alex, your orchids surely the biggest on You Tube and most stunning! I just started collecting orchids and your collections inspire me a lot. Just keep posting new video, maybe about how to start grow orchids in glass jars like these, and how to water them regularly. Thank you.
GLORIOUS! What a gift and orchids you have, Alexander! You're being humble, but I almost fell from my chair when you said, "Nothing Special." I don't mind not achieving your level of success, but just the fact... that you share your knowledge, ability, and talent with us is truly invaluable and gracious of you. (What a true lover of plants does!) You have reached me here in Southern California, and I'm not sure I can achieve the 20° here. But, you're one to aspire to and emulate. THANK YOU, SIR 💌 Ps. You have a new subscriber, too🥰
😅 thank you. I think temperature in California is very good for orchids (not outside of course, but indoors). It doesnt get super hot and it always drops at night. So should be good. 20C is about 70F
@@samgustian6904 no secrets with fertiliser. I use cheap all-season purpose NPK 18-18-18 or 20-20-20. Fertiliser is not magic. Light is more important:)

Glad to watch your video again. I have received a very large white orchid as a gift as i am suffering from a broken back slowly recovering. PLEASE tell about how you fertilize and all about how to get thm to be huge. My newest one has Perhaps 30 white flowers which are 4 inches across and the tips are still growing I hope for more buds to flower. BLESSINGS to you.... Rick
Thank you, Rick. Wishing you a successful recovery, your health is more important than flowers. All white phalaenopsis are considered to be the easiest varieties. It will probably continue to bloom from old spikes on sides after ending its “purchased” blooming if its not too hot in your area. Just give it enough of light (no direct sunlight) and dont overwater considering the media its planted in. If its planted in cocopeat - make sure to dry it betweet each watering. If pine bark - then its easier not to overwater. As for fertilizer - i use just a cheap, regular all-season purpose fertilizer NPK 20-20-20 or 18-18-18. I use the one in crystals (not liquid) any brand. No garlic, no bananas, no pineapples, just a normal fertilizer 😉
I'm speechless! Your orchids are magnificent! I suspect that the real secret is your artificial light. So I guess I better get out my grow lights then! Thank you for showing your gorgeous orchids...
I loved your Orchids planted in a glasses with no holes! In your videos I have not seen you watering, apply a fertilizing. I am wondering? So no food & water? Hopping to hearings from you again soon!
Hello. Of course i water them. It takes about two hours to water all my orchids 🤣 i will show it in some upcoming videos. As fot fertilizer - i use cheap fertilizers and i add a little bit of them almost every time i water
I am excited for your next video. I'd love more information about growing phals in a vase as well as information on your lighting! Looking forward to learning from you!
Hello. Thank you. I will be filming about vases. As for light - to keep it short: i use regular LED lamps you can buy in dome big store. These were cheap. Yes, i have one phyto lamp as you can see on a video, but i don’t recommend it. Its a marketing trick. Plants dont need any “special” light. Just dont put the lamp too far from the leaves
@@OrchidsByAlexander I so appreciate you taking the time to respond! Thanks for the lighting Info! It is good to hear that expensive doesn't necessarily mean better
