WONDERFUL! Best 2 hand arrangement I have heard of this yet!
Wow didn’t know frank dupree did arrangements. So well too - makes it sound like it’s originally for piano
Very much looking forward to the publication of this score. When will it take place please?
Exzellent! Man merkt, daß ein Dirigent spielt, mit dem "Blick fürs Große" ... :-)
This is extremely well done for the most part, capturing many of those nice little touches that William Daly omitted (probably to make it a bit easier to play). The buildup to the climax of the "Blues" section almost sounds like Wozzeck (appropriately, since A in P was written after the European trip during which Gershwin met Berg)! My only reservations are the passages where you "improved" Gershwin, such as the change in the rhythm of what is the viola part in the "Charleston" section. I think the original actually "swings" better. But a bang-up job overall.
Yes, it sounds like a proper reduction (Like Liszt-Beethoven). Daly is probably more for the intermediate pianist, and the reductions made there make the climatic parts a bit less exciting.
Genius!
Lindo. Repousante ,.refrescante .
Impressive!! Sounds like 2 instruments playing at the same time.
I’m interested in acquiring this score. How may I have access to get it???
It’s most likely on the website in the description
Is there any way I could pay you for a score of this? I really love this edition and need something more than the Daly.. let me know :)
The cadenza strikes me as somewhere between Ravel and Rachmaninov
A bit more Rach but the textures are a lot like Ravel
Where can I buy this music ? Published by which company?
I think I like this transcription better than the William Daly one.
Are you still planning to release the sheet music?
I’m an artist living in Seattle and I’m wondering if any of you know If the score is published?
Beindruckend! Danke! Gibts die Noten irgendwo zum Download?
