I'm from SOUTH AFRICA. Nelson Mandela's house is in SOWETO, VILAKAZI STREET. I love the Ukulele Site. Best service ever experienced.

I love how positive and fun Abe is and how rightfully complimentary Abe is of Corey’s amazing skill. Take the A train was great and Abe talking about playing the wrong notes and how to get in and out of it was such good stuff.

That lick Abe plays in the last B section of “A” train is unreal. Corey looked up right when he played, like “did I just hear that?”
This is my first time hearing Abe, I think he’s the best bebop uke player I’ve heard. This channel keeps getting better and better.

What a great video. Very happy to have received the latest Abe Lagrimas jr. CD. It is fantastic, love the way he plays jazz, so inspirational! Corey is great on the background, which is also foreground in his case. Thanks for this.

Abe and Corey in the moment awesomeness! You two should collaborate more. The chemistry and all else is there. Duo is a conversation. More than that could be egotistical chaos. Thank You 🙏

I listened to 'Everything for Nothing' Man! that song is like Beethoven! and Blame it on my Youth is like Joe Pass. Palindrome has a nice bebop walking bass! You surf great on that bassline. great album!

When tuning by ear, pick the open C string to the open G string. For me, I use the "wavy sound" as a guide. When the dissonance is smooth and not wavy, the 2 strings are in the with one another

@HawaiiMusicSupply Next time you should do a tuning-by-ear battle between Abe, Corey and Kalei. All get off instruments and the one who gets closest wins.

This Koolau CS-O sound like an 8 strings! The harmonics are incredible, especially on the A string, what's the secret of this uke? :o

I think, low G stringed 'ukulele are better than high G stringed ones. First, you could easily convert guitar players if you present them with the low G. Second, you could play songs beautifully in any keys, unlike the high G stringed ones that you might play a song most probably in the key of C or G... sometimes in F. How about the other keys? No problem with the low G. Any keys would work. It has a wider repertoire like classical music, flamenco and jazzy tunes because it has "bass" notes.
Though I still like the high G stringed 'ukuleles for the "cute" sound

I'm sorry but I disagree, i play both high and low g, you just need to explore and learn how to make music with it.

The high G is a big part of what makes the ukulele unique though. If you’re playing low G you might as well get a guitar and put a capo on fret 5.
