    Carrie, I love your sunrise shots and this one was a real topper. The sun shining through the spider web was so beautiful, and the music was perfect. And the Doodle makes a great figurehead on your little boat.

      They do have a great channel. It's a shame only 7K viewers have seen this video And it's also surprising that they only have 38K subscribers. I don't understand why they don't have over 100K subscribers by now.

    A glorious sunrise! Yes, the camera caught it. What a treat to have the lake so calm and enjoy paddling. I would think that water would be extremely cold. Bless Roodle! He loves you so much.

    OmGosh, Ruddle’s coat markings are absolutely stunning. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen him with his coat grown out. I’m reading up on the laws in Canada for getting through with my firearms because I would love to see Alaska, but I’m not coming unarmed. Thanks for showing me how beautiful it is up there.

      Roodle gets hot very easily so we tend to keep his hair very short but with the mosquitos is Alaska we decided to keep it long hoping it will make it harder for mosquitos to get to him. So far it is working

    How amazing!! Thank you for a fantastic Roodle Doodle scene😊 Carrie, which do you prefer, the paddle board or your kayak??

    • @oneadVANtureatatime
      @oneadVANtureatatime  3 месяца назад

      Both! I really miss having the kayak ready at any given moment! Having said that, the paddleboard is really easy to set up with an electric pump. I think the paddleboard is more comfortable and can hold more weight!

    ? 4 u- I recently got a paddle board and want to take my dog with me how long did it take u and Roodle to get used to it or at least get the basics down?

    • @oneadVANtureatatime
      @oneadVANtureatatime  3 месяца назад +1

      Roodle is super easy going and learns very quickly! It also helped that we took him kayaking all the time when he was a puppy.
      My advice is never force your pup on the paddleboard. If he/she is super unsure of the board.....start on land. Have your pup get on and off the board several times with treats. When you get the land down...move to the water....same thing....practice having pup get on and off. I would call that day one! Keep doing this until your pup is comfortable.
      Now that you are ready to get on the water.....NEVER TAKE ANYTHING YOU DONT WANT TO GET WET OR DROP IN THE WATER! This day will be very chaotic....keep it short and stay close to land.
      Take a break and do something your dog loves like play ball.
      Get back on the water and go for short distances.... when you feel pup is getting comfortable....venture out further. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A LIFE JACKET! this will take the pressure off WHEN pup fall or jumps off the board. when this happens have them swim for a while and then go back to shore. Have pup get back on the board and try again.
      Remember EVERYTHING including you will be wet! Your life will be better if you prepare for this now.
      Happy Paddeling
